Finally, a legitimate reissue of this hardcore classic is now available on vinyl. Deep Wound were one of a handful of great punk bands in the early 80’s from the outer regions of Massachusetts. The four-piece recorded their one and only single with Lou Giordano and Frank Michaels (Proletariat) and released it on the Radiobeat label in 1983. The record is snotty teenage punk rock but played at lightning speed with totally manic singing. Drummer J Mascis and guitarist Lou Barlow went on to further greatness by forming the seminal indie rock band Dinosaur Jr., and bassist Scott Helland played in the Outpatients until their breakup in 1995. (Outer Battery Records)
  • Their first tape last year was unbelievably gnarly, and on "Inhabit The Corpse", these ghouls have truly broken loose from the restraints of mortal frailty and are unleashing a thrashing, chorus drenched wickedness unheard by the likes of any puny human. Thine ears cannot possibly be prepared for their unholy onslaught, yet it is here and there is nothing you or anyone else on earth can do to stop it. Is there really a good reason to not surrender your soul over to absolute turpitude made manifest through what can best be described as the amalgam of Japanese black metal/punk rippers SEX MESSIAH and the (secretly Finnish) hardcore punk steamroller of a project SYUDAN JISATSU, or in other words: absolute shredding annihilation from beyond the veil? Many bands may try to unleash the darkness and have their invocations met with silence - or maybe a whisper if they’re lucky - as they fizzle out; but when DEVIL MASTER calls, death comes fucking ripping (and we should expect nothing less from villains who also have given us horrific creations as members of CAPE OV BATS, BLANK SPELL, INTEGRITY, and THE DRIP to name a few). In just four tracks, Devil Master shatters your nerves, breaks your will, and drags your limp and drained vessel back into the world, leaving you all alone with nothing but reflection of what has come to pass as you sputter and sob, waiting for the end. This is an experience which is not to be missed. (Erste Theke Tontraeger) https://erstetheketontraeger.bandcamp.com/album/ett-055-devil-master-s-t-ep
  • The Band you've been looking for for a long time, with sounds of dissimilar genres that don't usually cross combined, is out when you least expect it to be. This fully fledged outfit of sheer old-school twisted intensity is a must-listen, no sweat! Devil Master with their four tracks of devilish hardcore punk in the vein of GAI or LSD packed in a deathrock vibe. The Japanese hardcore influence is prevalent but there is so much more! That is punk, metal and goth inspired hardcore punk with demonic vocals and hard as nail beats which is extremely hard to shake once you hear it. The torturous maelstrom sounds of bone breaks and thuggish isolationism. Howling feedback underscores the massive swirling riffs and relentless battery of drums. Foul, tumultuous vocals made entirely of the final exhalations of humanity really send this opus to the apex. A perfect band. The four distorted tracks on this EP mix perfectly the low end reverb soaked deathrock influences with the best of the International Hardcore Punk of the early 80's. Making it a masterpiece of timeless punk. This EP is a perfectly wild and superbly crafted sheet of brutal noise with a pounding goth backbone all jacked up on blackened metal freakout space jams. And you know that Satan smiled when he heard this! (Erste Theke Tontraeger) https://erstetheketontraeger.bandcamp.com/album/ett-055-devil-master-s-t-ep
  • Red Vinyl. Though it's been over two years since we recorded our last record, Devour's new 7" picks up right where our S/T LP left off. 5 songs that synthesize our love of classic Japanese hardcore (Death Side, Judgement, etc.) and 80s metallic PUNK (COC, early Neurosis, Final Conflict). Fast, heavy, hard-hitting, intricate... obviously I'm biased since I'm in the band but I think this is a pretty f***ing killer record. (Headcount Records)

One of the few hardcore bands from the early '80s to feature an outspoken and openly gay frontman -- in Texas, no less -- the Dicks, alongside the Big Boys, were the national scene's voice from the Lone Star state. Formed in Austin in 1980, the Dicks released their first and most famous single; Hate the Police, shortly thereafter. This is their second (and arguably) better single from 1984. (Alternative Tentacles Records)
  • “Beer City Skateboards and Records is proud to reissue the classic, phenomenal first 7” of the early 80’s hardcore band : DIE KREUZEN — Cows and Beer ! After having been out of print for nearly 30 years the original master tapes from this ground breaking release had finally been restored, remastered and given a proper reissue! “We are doing this because we want to squash the bootleggers,” DIE KREUZEN singer Dan Kubinski explains. “For years they have been putting out inferior-quality bullshit and ripping off our fans. We want to give our fans a very clean, crisp, loud-and-heavy version of Cows and Beer. Billy Cicerelli from WMSE did the initial remastering and then Dave Eik of Lucky Lacquers did further remastering and cut the lacquers -and man, did they do an awesome job! This new version blows the doors and windows off of any other, including the original Version Sound release” Recorded in a few hours on Sept 11 1982 at a recording studio deep in Milwaukee’s south side. The result would be 6 songs that would help redefine the intensity and standard of this newly forming off shot of punk known as hardcore. Some even say this record is the paving way for another offshoot of punk that would rear its head some years latter and become known as thrash! When this record originally came out it was limited to a few short-run pressings. This time it will be released as a special RSD release for 2014 and will come on five different colors of vinyl for a grand total of 5000! (1000 each of red, gold, blue, green & clear vinyl). To make things even more spectacular, this record will feature brand new liner notes by the band as well as the original lyric sheet and then the one from the second pressing!” (Beer City Records)
  • Classic 3 song rager from 1980. Less than a year removed from "realities of war" the sound is already faster and more aggressive, leaving '70s punk behind and blazing into pure hardcore raw punk. This record has 3 of DISCHARGE's best songs which are just pure blasts of raw anger and urgency. UK hardcore as it's best! (Havoc Records)
  • "Fight back" contains 5 song blast of pure anger and energy - DISCHARGE at their finest here. Pure beat raw hardcore-punk against which all the successors can be measured. This hard driving music is the perfect vehicle for the outrage at war and oppression conveyed by the harsh lyrics and graphics. (Havoc Records)

Discharge's fourth EP. You know that you can rely on Havoc Records to take the utmost care and love in reissuing these singles, and Felix has done a great job reproducing the original artwork and getting a solid, powerful mastering job. Musically, what needs to be said? This is f***ing DISCHARGE and all of these early singles should be in everyone's collection in some form or another. (Havoc Records)
  • The classic 1st 7" from DISCHARGE circa 1980. A monumental record that helped jumpstart the hardcore movement around the world. This is one of a handful of records from 1980 that pushed '70s punk into the bleak era of the 1980's hardcore scene. DISCHARGE set the standard with their raw and uncompromising visual style and unbridled hardcore-punk music. (Havoc Records)
  • DREGS | watch out | 7”

DREGS: the least valuable part of anything. Hardcore Punk in it’s essence. By outcasts for outcasts. Fast riffs, angry mosh parts and messages aimed to empower the ones that should run the scene. Women to the front, queers to the front. Up the punks. Reflect on yourself. This debut EP of rad, smart and kicking band from Vienna, Austria offer 5 songs recorded at Elephantwest Audio and mastered in Artifact Audio NYC by Sasha Stroud (Firewalker). • "Taking back space” is the second ep of the queer feminist hardcore punk band EAT MY FEAR from Berlin. It's a 6 song explosion in under 10 minutes, a loud, angry and still absolutely necessary mix of straight edge hardcore and queer punk, full of political expression. Adriessa's pissed vocals tell stories about the experience of migration, about animal exploitation, about not fitting in because of homo- and transphobia. And while Eat My Fear created a place for all their anger, their ep is also a manifesto about supporting each other, about not giving up but fighting back. Eat My Fear are fighting a fight that still needs to be fought, together with bands like G.L.O.S.S., IRON, RESPECT MY FIST or ANTI-CORPOS, whith some of them they share members with. If you're ready to take back your space, this is the perfect soundtrack to fight back! This is co-release between Emancypunx Records and Refuse Records. Taking the speed and aggression of early 80's hardcore and mixing it with a little melody borrowed from the Descendents, FTD have written an 8 song EP that will be filed alongside the best of their contemporaries. Way better than the demo, don't sleep on this. (Still Holding On Records)
