Bandage is a four-piece punk rock band hailing from Athens, Greece. Officially originating in 2010 as a trio, the band establishes its sound on the Californian Epi/Fat era of the 90’s while adding many modern touches. Bandage play shows all over Greece before enlisting a second guitarist about two years later and finally touring abroad begins across various countries of Europe. Three releases in, the band finishes producing their sophomore LP titled “Build” in the summer of 2018 and is preparing for the record’s release on May 3rd of 2019 (Keep it a Secret Records, Lockjaw Records and No Reason Records), accompanied by as much touring as possible.
Recorded in April of 2018 at Villa Giuseppe in Athens Greece by Jacopo Fokas and mixed/mastered by Jay Maas (Getaway Recording, Boston Massachusetts / Defeater, No Trigger, Bane Tittle Fight) “Build” is the sophomore LP by Bandage, an 11 track / 35-minute long record that comes as the culmination of a two year preparational period of work by the band and the individuals in it. “Build” sees the band moving onward from their established Californian Epi/Fat sound to a more emo/pop punk framework and a very personal lyrical approach, in many ways an extremely fresh experience for Bandage. The artwork photography, handled by Theo Vranas, and the graphic layout, illustrated by Zachos Eleftheriadis, marks movement in uncharted territory for the band once more in an attempt to prepare the listener/viewer for the actual content.

"When the first stabs of treble drenched, over-driven guitar ring out, it sounds as if Blank Veins are about to take you straight into abstract, no-wave territory. But as the first track progresses and the drums and bass kick in, this bad boy veers straight into sleazy, pummeling noise rock territory. And fuck, as soon as the sax snaked its way in through the cacophony I was completely sold. Blank Veins take a simple, atonal riff and drive it forward for the entire duration of the song - completely deconstructing it and annihilating it in the process while the rhythm section pounds away in the background. Add intermittent background noise, yelled/slurred vocals and of course the sax and you have some sort of bastard child born from the fling between a Rhode Island noise rock band and an ex-East Village punk. Blessed By Perversion was created in mid 2010 inspired by death metal and extreme music. The band released their first EP called Destroy the Image of God in 2012. After many gigs and the addition of a new member Blessed By Perversion was ready to record their first full length album Between Roots And Darkness which is an old school feeling death metal album with a lot of melodic parts. The album was released in 2016 via Razed Soul Productions and received great reviews from metal sites and magazines from around the world. Athen’s CHAIN CULT return with their first full length following a great Demo and 7” from last year. Recorded at Ignite Music by George Christoforidis during May and July of 2019, Shallow Grave shows the progression of a band who have played non-stop for two years, covering pretty much all of Europe. CHAIN CULT’s post punk is anthemic, militant and idealistic, putting music to a very dark and bleak time and place. You can hear echoes of early THE CURE, THE SOUND, Second Empire Justice era BLITZ or WIPERS in their music but also the passion and conviction of locals METRO DECAY, STRESS or ANTI… Very much a perfect reflection of what springs to mind thinking about the current Athens scene.

Formed in 2014, Chronoboros is a noise/post-hardcore trio from Athens, Greece. Following their debut EP, their new release is called 'No Dirt or Silver Will Have Us Sated' and features 10 songs spanning over 34 minutes. Drawing elements from their previous work, this record touches on 90s noise rock, post-hardcore and sludge metal. With transgressive lyrical content and themes, progressive changes between harsh and soft dynamics, and a tight yet experimental approach to sound, Chronoboros have a distinctive take on end-of-times music. Λίγα λόγια για τη μπάντα: Το ταξίδι των cold i ξεκίνησε πριν από περίπου 10 χρόνια. Το 2016 είχαμε τη χαρά να κυκλοφορήσουμε τον πρώτο τους full length δίσκο με τίτλο “Κακός Άνεμος” και το 2018 τον δεύτερο με τίτλο “Άνθη Γκρεμού” σε συμπαραγωγή με την We Don’t Fight Records από τη Λάρισα. Το 2019 ο ντράμερ της μπάντας, ο Χρήστος, έφυγε από το συγκρότημα για προσωπικούς λόγους και στη θέση του ήρθε ο Βαγγέλης. Η σύνθεση της μπάντας είναι πλέον: Φώτης (φωνή), Άγγελος (κιθάρα), Δημήτρης (μπάσο), Βαγγέλης (τύμπανα). Το 2021 και με την καινούργια σύνθεση της μπάντας, οι cold i μπήκαν στο στούντιο για την ηχογράφηση του τρίτου δίσκου με τίτλο “Μέρες Νεκρές”, που συνεχίζει να κινείται στα γνωστά post punk/cold wave μονοπάτια. Ο δίσκος ολοκληρώθηκε το 2022 και είναι -κατά τη γνώμη μου- η καλύτερη και η πιο ώριμη δουλειά τους. Δεν θα κρύψω ότι είμαι πολύ χαρούμενος που για άλλη μια φορά το συγκρότημα μας εμπιστεύτηκε όσον αφορά την κυκλοφορία του βινυλίου, αν και από την άλλη δεν πρόκειται για έκπληξη, μιας και η συνεργασία μας βασίζεται σε μια φιλία που κρατά εδώ και πάρα πολλά χρόνια. Ο δίσκος “Μέρες Νεκρές” κυκλοφορεί σε 287 κόπιες βινυλίου, σε συμπαραγωγή με την πολωνική Extinction Records. The COLD I trip started 10 years ago. At 2016 with great joy we released their first full length "Κακος άνεμος" and at 2018 we continued with their second LP "Ανθη γκρεμού" a co-production with We don't fight records from Larissa. Unfortunately at 2019 their drummer Christos left the band for personal reasons and he was replaced by Vaggelis. The current line up is Fotis (vocals), Aggelos (guitar), Dimitris (bass) and Vaggelis (drums). With the new line up at 2021, the band stormed the studio to record their third full length (Μέρες νεκρές) which continues the quest at their beloved post punk/cold wave genres. In my humble opinion this record, finished at 2022, is their best and finds them at their most mature phase. Its not a secret that we are very happy that the band trusted us for the vinyl release, not a big surprise though, our co-op is based on our long lived friendship.
