The Grey Album is a mashup album by Danger Mouse, released in 2004. It mixes an a cappella version of rapper Jay-Z's The Black Album with samples from the Beatles' self-titled ninth album, commonly known as "The White Album". The Grey Album gained notoriety when the Beatles' record label EMI attempted to halt its distribution despite approval of the project from Jay-Z and the two surviving Beatles, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. Danger Mouse created The Grey Album as an experimental project intended for a limited 3,000-copy release in February 2004. While Danger Mouse never asked permission to use the Beatles' material, Jay-Z's a cappella recordings, though copyrighted, were released commercially for the purpose of encouraging mashups and remixes.A buzz around the album resulted in wider Internet distribution and media attention garnering a glowing review in the February 9, 2004 issue of The New Yorker. The Grey Album was named the best album of 2004 by Entertainment Weekly and ranked No. 10 in The Village Voice's annual Pazz and Jop critics poll. Danger Mouse is quoted as saying: A lot of people just assume I took some Beatles and, you know, threw some Jay-Z on top of it or mixed it up or looped it around, but it's really a deconstruction. It's not an easy thing to do. I was obsessed with the whole project, that's all I was trying to do, see if I could do this. Once I got into it, I didn't think about anything but finishing it. I stuck to those two because I thought it would be more challenging and more fun and more of a statement to what you could do with sample alone. It is an art form. It is music. Named by Q Magazine as one of the "5 Best Compilations of 2000," Romeo Must Die: The Album is the soundtrack to the Andrzej Bartkowiak 2000 film, Romeo Must Die. With executive production from Timbaland, Barry Hankerson, Jomo Hankerson and Aaliyah, the film's star, the album features production from Irv Gotti, Rapture Stewart, Ant Banks, Eric Seats, Mannie Fresh and J Dub. Third studio album of MOSCOW DEATH BRIGADE! Each of the 11 tracks on the new record takes a unique form inspired by various genres from Punk Rock and Black Metal to Drum & Bass, Techno, EDM and more. The machine gun rap flow of the band’s two MC’s can be heard on all tracks, rapping in English on a variety of topics, from pressing social issues to more light hearted ones, such as graffiti and touring.

Αυτός ο δίσκος προσγειώνεται στα πικάπ σας και αμέσως γεμίζει το σύμπαν μουσικές, που κάνουν τα πόδια σας να χορεύουν. Οι Turboflow3000 μας παρουσιάζουν το “ΟΥΦΟ” και μας ταξιδεύουν με γρήγορες ρίμες, synths, μπάσα και breaks. Τα τραγούδια τους είναι σαν αστέρια στο άπειρο: όλα ξεχωριστά, φωτεινά και διαφορετικά. Προέκυψαν από την ιδέα φίλων που θα συναντιούνται για να κάνουν μουσική. Ο καθένας έφερνε τα δικά του μπαγκάζια και τις δικές του επιρροές και μέσα σε κλίμα παρεϊστικο και χαβαλέ, δημιουργούσαν κομμάτια εκτός κανόνων και πλαισίων. Ένας μουσικός αχταρμάς ηχογραφημένος με laptop και κινητά, που βρήκε αμέσως το κοινό του. Το «νέο Νέο κύμα», είναι ίσως ο δίσκος που, ως Veego Records, μας κάνει πιο περήφανους από οτιδήποτε έχουμε κυκλοφορήσει έως σήμερα. Είναι μια συλλογή, εμπνευσμένη αλλά, και αφιερωμένη, στους μικρούς και μεγαλύτερους ήρωες που έχουν διαγνωστεί με αυτισμό και τις οικογένειες τους. Ο αυτισμός είναι η συχνότερη νευροαναπτυξιακή διαταραχή σε παιδιά προσχολικής και σχολικής ηλικίας. Δεν κάνει διακρίσεις, ούτε γνωρίζουμε τι τον προκαλεί. Δεν είναι ιάσιμος , ούτε ανιχνεύεται με προγεννητικό έλεγχο. Κάθε αυτιστικό άτομο έχει τα δικά του χαρακτηριστικά και τις δικές του δυσκολίες. Κάποια άτομα μπορεί να είναι πλήρως λειτουργικά και να εξελιχθούν σε αυτόνομους ενήλικες και κάποια, μη λειτουργικά, με ισόβια ανάγκη υποστήριξης. Κάποια, ίσως να είναι εξαιρετικά χαρισματικά σε ορισμένους τομείς και να διαπρέψουν, και κάποια μπορεί να μη μιλήσουν ποτέ. Γι’ αυτό άλλωστε ο αυτισμός είναι φάσμα. Είναι όμως σχεδόν βέβαιο ότι όλα τα άτομα στο φάσμα του αυτισμού, όπως και οι οικογένειες τους, θα βρεθούν στη ζωή τους αντιμέτωποι με την προκατάληψη, την άγνοια, την αμάθεια και τον αποκλεισμό. Το « Νέο νέο κύμα» κυκλοφορεί με σκοπό να ευαισθητοποιήσει τον κόσμο και να τον φέρει ένα βήμα πιο κοντά σε αυτά τα ιδιαίτερα άτομα. Να παρακινήσει τον καθένα που θα κρατήσει στα χέρια του αυτό το δίσκο να ενημερωθεί και να ανοίξει την αγκαλιά του. Όλοι οι καλλιτέχνες, που συμμετέχουν στο δίσκο, μας χάρισαν με χαρά τα τραγούδια τους, για το σκοπό αυτό. Είναι 23 τραγούδια που έχουν κυκλοφορήσει μόνο σε ψηφιακές πλατφόρμες. Τους ευχαριστούμε ολους ιδιαίτερα για την συμπαράστασή τους. Ο τίτλος του δίσκου πιστεύουμε ότι εκφράζει απόλυτα τη μουσική που αντιπροσωπεύει αυτή η νέα γενιά Ελλήνων καλλιτεχνών, που εκτός από τη συνάντησή τους στο δίσκο, αποτελούν μια μουσική σκηνή που φέρνει την αλλαγή στα μουσικά πραγματα. Το εξώφυλλο του δίσκου και το artwork έχει επιμεληθεί ο εικαστικός Γιώργος Μαραζιώτης. Ο δίσκος κόπηκε με την ευγενική χορηγία του Ιδρύματος Ωνάση και κυκλοφορεί σε 1000 βινύλια. Όλα τα έσοδα του δίσκου θα διατεθούν σε ιδρύματα που φιλοξενούν, εκπαιδεύουν, υποστηρίζουν και απασχολούν άτομα στο φάσμα του αυτισμού. Όπως γράφει για το εξώφυλλο του δίσκου η παιδίατρος – αναπτυξιακή παιδίατρος, Αλεξάνδρα Κλημεντοπούλου : «Οι κοινωνίες ωριμάζουν όταν συμπεριλαμβάνουν αντί να αποκλείουν την διαφορετικότητα.
