They went onto release another 7” and a mini-album in the 80s, appeared in Wim Wenders’ film Paris, Texas, as well as playing gigs along side touring bands like MINOR THREAT, THE CRAMPS and SIOUXSIE AND THE BANSHEES, as well as locals BIG BOYS, REALLY RED and THE DICKS. • Solid black vinyl version limited to 300 copies - LP+CD. Torino, Northern Italy, is with no trace of doubt one of the areas that gave birth to some of the most important Italian Hardcore bands of all eras… NEGAZIONE, DECLINO, CONTR-AZIONE, 5# BRACCIO, ROUGH just to mention a few. And the great thing about this city is that all this did not only last in the ’80s but had a solid continuation in the decades to follow. Bands like ARTURO, CRUNCH, FRAMMENTI, BELLI-COSI, C.O.V. took the legacy of the giants that came before and ruled the ’90s reinventing Hardcore with creativity, passion and a flash of genius in song-writing. ARTURO were certainly the fastest and those that have been more pristine in sticking to the total Hardcore formula, especially in their early years with Alfo on vocals. So this anthology is all focused on that time, the early years of one of the most furious Italian Hardcore bands of the Nineties… fast, top adrenalinic Hardcore that gives no time to breathe from start to finish! It includes their debut CD “Ar-cor” (1995), the two Ep’s “Isterico” (1997) and “Topo volante” (1998) plus a bonus CD with the impossible to find first demo and an unreleased soundboard live at El Paso (Torino), 1996 opening for CRIPPLE BASTARDS (actually at that time ARTURO shared their drummer and bass-player with CB!). 63 songs of manic fast TORINO HC!!! Double insert with lyrics, original artworks and photos. (F.O.A.D. Records)
  • Sweden’s Hardcore pioneers blast back after 23 years! “Död åt kapitalismen” is their first recording since 1994 and as expected it takes no prisoners… 10 songs of raw and brutal HC combing the traditional Scandinavian approach with a solid d-beat structure. It takes all the best features of their previous works to push them to a new devastating stage… speed, anger, vitriolic vocals and a solid production makes this a total scandicore headsmasher for fans of Anti Cimex, Crude SS, Totallitär, Avskum and so on. Comes in a gatefold sleeve. (F.O.A.D. Records)
  • Solid black vinyl ltd. to 350 copies - 19.00 The masters of complete Hardcore Mangel are back with a vengeance! 12 songs of crushing Swedish Hardcore from these timeless legends mangling ears since the early ’80s!! Two years after “Död åt kapitalismen“, a new menace of uncompromised fury is ready to endanger your cardiac stability… Not only these guys were pioneers of the fastest and rawest ’80s Hardcore ever spawned from the freezing North, but they are among the few that kept the same level of intensity and anger with their recent reunion. All the greatest features for a brutal Swedish Hardcore record are pushed to the top on this new full length, vitriolic vocals and vicious discharged riffs picturing the most apocalyptic war scenarios, solid scandicore/d-beat drumming and a kick-in-the-face production giving to all their rawness and distortion an even sicker and cruder feeling. Correct us if we fail to say that with this record we are closing the year with the best Swedish Hardcore album of 2019 and who knows for how much time more. (F.O.A.D. Records)
  • Black vinyl limited to 200. The third and final installment that completes the ASOCIAL vinyl reissues to make their entire 1982-1994 easily available for all you Scandicore psychos. This LP collects the following: “How could Hardcore be any worse” (split tape with The Bedrövlers, 1984… THEIR FASTEST RECORDINGS EVER!) plus some extra unreleased stuff, songs from “Hardcore for the masses” and “Attack is now suicide” v.a. LPs (both from 1988), the “House of gore” 7″ (1992) and their songs from “Distortion to hell” v.a. CD (1994). All this stuff has been mastered from the original reels and mastertapes. This collection shows the band’s progression from the early, out of control ultra Hardcore annihilation to a more d-beat paced (as a matter of fact, a Discharge cover is included) and even metallic HC approach, still keeping the aggression and power that has always been a trademark in their sound. 25 tracks. Housed in a glossy gatefold sleeve with silver hot-foil stamping. (F.O.A.D. Records)

  • Swedish punk legends ASTA KASK are celebrating their 40 year anniversary with the release of "historien dömer oss alla ("history will judge us all), along with reissues of 3 classic records. ASTA KASK have succeeded with something very few bands from the first wave of swedish punk have: to maintain their fans while still making their way into the hearts of young punks. The new record "historien dömer oss alla" consist of 4 songs that brings up hate, fear and the normalization of surreptitious racism that is spreading around the globe. The material covers the different strengths of the bands longevity: the speed of 2-beat drums, echos of raw 80's chord progression and the never ending thirst for singalong-friendly melodies. Limited to 1000 copies on black vinyl. Poster of cover and digital download card included. (Gaphals Records) https://gaphals.bandcamp.com/album/asta-kask-historien-d-mer-oss-alla

  • Austria’s Astpai play punk rock with a healthy dose of Kid Dynamite snarl. It’s melodic, it’s loud, and most of all, it wants to be heard. Think of all those bands in the mid-naughties who started drawing on the melodic side of hardcore and post—Make Do And Mend, Title Fight, and Hostage Calm, to name a few—bands that took to the musicianship of Hot Water Music and Fugazi but kept their feet firmly in the world of traditional songwriting. Astpai is a step once more removed from those post-hardcore roots, but it’s hard for me not to think of them as kin. True Capacity is melodic punk that wants to hit hard, to give you all its got, and have you singing along with every word. A more direct comparison for Astpai would be something like The Flatliners. They have a similar feel of heightened melodic punk, where they take from hardcore sounds but not structures. Here, there are songs with big choruses and competent arrangements delivered with an emotional range in line with what we expect from today’s melodic punk. 1986’s “American Paranoia” was a California thrash bash from the Bay Area’s Attitude Adjustment. Along with bands like Excel, Cryptic Slaughter, and Hirax, Attitude Adjustment helped bridge the gap between blazing fast hardcore and speed metal, a sound that was duplicated many times over but rarely with the ferocity found here. This LP was originally pressed on the legendary Pusmort Records (run by famed artist Pushead) and has not been in print on vinyl since that initial pressing. LP includes DVD and is limited to 500 copies. (Taang! Records)

    AVENGERS | avengers | LP

    25.00 incl. tax
In the late '70s, The Avengers established themselves as one of the US's preeminent punk bands. Fusing incisive guitar hooks, explosive rhythms and adolescent venom, the group forged some of the most in-your-face songs of the era. Their live shows were legendary, playing up and down the West Coast and even blowing Sex Pistols off the stage at the latter's final performance. As Byron Coley writes in the liner notes, "Of the best bands of San Francisco's first wave in 1977, The Avengers were by far the coolest and youngest sounding. They roared without irony, as though this were indeed Year Zero (and, for a moment, it was) with history being overwritten by the new. The honesty of their belief was carried by their sound. And it was convincing!" Originally released in 1983, four years after the band's dissolution, The Avengers' self-titled LP is often referred to as "The Pink Album" for its magenta-hued cover design. Frontwoman Penelope Houston's iconic voice and razor-sharp lyrics resonate on anthems "We Are The One" and "The American In Me," while penetrating ballads like "Corpus Christi" reveal a truly out-of-body euphony. The Pink Album remains The Avengers' definitive statement – collecting their classic Dangerhouse EP, sessions recorded with the Pistols' Steve Jones and a half-dozen revelatory demos. While much has been written about The Avengers in the past three decades, rock critic Greil Marcus puts it succinctly, "The word I always come back to is mystical, and that remains almost theirs alone." (Superior Viaduct Records)
  • Limited edition translucent red vinyl. Few first wave California punk bands burned as brightly as The Avengers. Formed in San Francisco during 1977's Summer of Hate, they swiftly ascended to the top of the West Coast scene and earned the coveted support slot for The Sex Pistols' final concert in January 1978. The Avengers' frenetic performance at Winterland made quite an impression on Pistols guitarist Steve Jones who offered to record the group. From the Jones produced sessions, "The American In Me" remains an unmistakable anthem. Embodying the punk zeitgeist, singer Penelope Houston fiercely declares, "Ask not what you can do for your country, what's your country been doing to you." The original White Noise EP version of "The American In Me" is paired with "Uh-Oh," featuring Jones on piano and bravely demonstrating Me Too sentiments four decades earlier. Comp-only track "Cheap Tragedies" closes this reimagined lost-single set. The American In Me perfectly captures The Avengers' dynamic power – frustration, style and passion forged into some of the most pivotal sounds of punk's formative era. Track Listing:
    1. The American In Me
    2. Uh-Oh
    3. Cheap Tragedies (Superior Viaduct Records)

    AXEGRINDER | satori | LP

    21.00 incl. tax
You can feel it as much as hear it: the sound of crust-punk, scabrous and bleak – a soundtrack for the slow, painful disintegration of society and perhaps even humanity itself. A jolting, icy blast of reality through the world’s shattered windows. The sound of despair turning to defiance. Formed in London in 1986, Axegrinder arrived as the ongoing post-punk melting pot began to conjure ever-heavier new hybrid strains of the hardcore punk and underground metal scenes that were still only a few years old. Following in the groundbreaking footsteps of peers like Amebix and Sacrilege, the band swiftly established themselves as one of the most musically adventurous and hair-raisingly intense bands the UK had to offer. Renowned as an explosive live band, whether playing in a rot-infested squat or venturing into bigger, shinier venues, Axegrinder cemented their burgeoning reputation with their monstrous debut album The Rise Of The Serpent Men. The follow-up to a trio of widely hailed demos, it was released in 1989 via legendary British metal imprint Peaceville Records and was heralded as an underground classic. A brave, belligerent album that aggressively filtered Killing Joke’s pulsing nihilism through a prism of post-thrash grinding power, it was years ahead of its time. Unfortunately, the first chapter of the Axegrinder story came to an abrupt halt not long after the release of ...Serpent Men. After years of hard slog around the squats and pubs of the UK, both guitarist Steve Alton and vocalist Trev found themselves becoming increasingly disillusioned with the scene that they had helped to forge. Newly signed to Rise Above Records, Axegrinder will release Satori into a world that seems every bit as fucked up and bleak as the one they angrily assailed first time round. In reality, the anti-authoritarian message that burned at the heart of the crust-punk scene three decades ago has never lost its relevance or its power. From the crushing, slow-burn assault of Halo (Snakes For The Breeding) to the warped, nihilistic balladry of epic closer Too Far From Home, this is music that screams its righteous fury and creative clout from the rooftops. (Rise Above Records)
  • And one more German punk slab from the fucking Rock-O-Rama label released in 1982 and this record comes from a time when the streets create the honest, pure & rough punk sound, far from the self-righteous politicay correct political incorrectness of later productions. Not only the uncompromising sound, but also the lyrics are absolutely authentic. B.Trug were Joe O. (vocals & bass), Jolly (guitars & vocals), Pit (guitars), Susi (drums) and came from the deepest heart of Bavaria, a region called Allgäu, they recorded fourteen solid mangy wild songs in the typical ror sound but the hardness can't cure properly because the sound is peculiarly leaky. Teenage Rebel Records reissued the album. Enjoy this classic.

  • Mention the name Bad Brains to any music fan today and you will get a jaw-dropping response! Considered by some to be the holy grail' of punk rock, Bad Brains are one of the definitive American punk groups who garner the same respect as the Sex Pistols, Black Flag, The Ramones and the The Clash. The Bad Brains iconic legacy brought a new dimension to music by melding punk and reggae into a innovative style that has yet-to-be copied. And with this new studio album, Bad Brains essentially returns to their core wit a raw analog-driven chaos produced by MCA (aka Adam Yauch) of the Beastie Boys.Build a Nation has clearly brought out the best in the band. All original members, Dr. Know, Darryl Jennifer H.R. and Earl Hudson, deliver an explosive arsenal of riffage and bad ass bag of voices. Producer MCA recorded the album at the Beastie Boys' Oscilloscope studio in NYC. It is the first studio album released by the Oscilloscope laboratories, outside of Beastie Boys' albums. Sometimes reactionary, sometimes volatile, Bad Brains simply define the American punk experience. (Megaforce)
  • Hardcore punk pioneers Bad Brains released their sixth full-length God Of Love in 1995.
