  • 40th anniversary box set packaged in a 12" x 12" hardcover book on a limited edition of 15,000 individually numbered copies.
Despite carrying on the celebratory tone of The Ramones' debut and Leave Home in the likes of Sheena Is A Punk Rocker, Cretin Hop a tribute to dirty Rockaway Beach and covers of The Trashmen and Do You Wanna Dance? Their third LP from 1977 displays a dark humour that's less jokey than the previous releases' goofs on bad mental health and dysfunctional relationships. the group's best-produced of its first three releases, rocket achieves an almost smooth texture thanks to a clean mix and increased use of Beach Boys-inspired vocal harmonies.
The Ramones ignited the punk-rock movement with their eponymous 1976 debut album, revitalizing rock and roll at one of its lowest ebbs with attitude, energy and a loud, fast new sound. By cutting music down to its bare essentials – four chords; a simple, catchy melody; a sped up tempo and irresistibly inane lyrics, the Ramones blazed the trail for thousands of bands that followed, influencing everyone from The Clash and The Sex Pistols to Green Day and The Offspring. Although The Ramones never achieved mainstream financial success, they released 21 live and studio albums, had a devoted fan base and were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2002. Contains two different mixes of the album: a remastered version of the original and a new 40th Anniversary Tracking Mix by originalRocket To Russia engineer/mixer Ed Stasium. The collection also includes a number of unreleased studio recordings, plus a previously unissued recording of the band’s 1977 concert in Glasgow, Scotland. The Deluxe Edition will be produced in a limited and numbered edition of 15,000 copies worldwide and comes packaged in a 12 x 12 hardcover book. Along with the music, the set also features stories about the band by Sire Records founder Seymour Stein, details about making the album by Stasium, and extensive liner notes by renowned music writer and co-founder of Creem Magazine, Jaan Uhelszki. The first disc of the Deluxe Edition features a remastered version of the original stereo mix for Rocket To Russia, plus the 2017 40th Anniversary Tracking Mix created by Stasium, which provides a back-to-basics version of the album, and a different track listing from the 1977 original. The 2017 40th Anniversary Tracking Mix is also featured on the LP that accompanies the Deluxe Edition. Stasium provides some details on the new Tracking Mix in the set’s liner notes: “When putting together this new Tracking Mix, I decided to include the versions of ‘I Don’t Care’ and ‘It’s A Long Way Back to Germany,’ since they were recorded during the Rocket To Russia sessions at Mediasound, and are completely different takes that have never been heard before. ‘Sheena’ has been omitted, as it was recorded in a totally different session a few months prior, in-between the Leave Home and Rocket To Russia albums.” Two dozen rare and unreleased recordings are found on the second disc, including rough mixes from sessions at Mediasound and The Power Station. There’s also an early version of “Needles And Pins” with Tommy on drums, the B-side single mix of “Babysitter,” an alternate version of “It’s A Long Way Back To Germany” with Dee Dee on vocals, an original radio promo with Joey Ramone, and more. A highlight of this Deluxe Edition is the complete unreleased concert included on the third disc. This never-before-heard multi-track recording of the band’s December 19, 1977 show at the Apollo Centre in Glasgow, Scotland captures the Ramones just a few days before the group recorded the classic live album It’s Alive, and mixed for this 40th Anniversary edition by Ed Stasium. In Glasgow, they played songs from all three studio albums including “Blitzkrieg Bop,” “Judy Is A Punk,” “Gimme Gimme Shock Treatment,” and “California Sun.” Tracklist: Remastered Original Mixes 1-1 Cretin Hop 1:55 1-2 Rockaway Beach 2:06 1-3 Here Today, Gone Tomorrow 2:49 1-4 Locket Love 2:11 1-5 I Don't Care 1:39 1-6 Sheena Is A Punk Rocker 2:49 1-7 We're A Happy Family 2:40 1-8 Teenage Lobotomy 2:01 1-9 Do You Wanna Dance? 1:55 1-10 I Wanna Be Well 2:28 1-11 I Can't Give You Anything 2:01 1-12 Ramona 2:37 1-13 Surfin' Bird 2:37 1-14 Why Is It Always This Way? 2:19 40th Anniversary Tracking Mix 1-15 Cretin Hop 1:57 1-16 Rockaway Beach 2:07 1-17 Here Today, Gone Tomorrow 2:46 1-18 Locket Love 2:16 1-19 I Don't Care (Version 2) 1:51 1-20 It's A Long Way Back To Germany (Version 1) 2:23 1-21 We're A Happy Family 2:38 1-22 Teenage Lobotomy 2:04 1-23 Do You Wanna Dance? 1:54 1-24 I Wanna Be Well 2:30 1-25 I Can't Give You Anything 2:13 1-26 Ramona 3:06 1-27 Surfin' Bird 2:53 1-28 Why Is It Always This Way? 2:44 Mediasound/Power Station Rough Mixes 2-1 Why Is It Always This Way? • Iron Maiden's 17th studio album Senjutsu comes out on September 3. Rumour was that the London lifers were working on the long-awaited follow-up to The Book Of Souls during lockdown, but it turns out they've been sat on it since 2019! And now, finally, it's almost time to hear one of the most anticipated metal releases of 2021. Senjutsu is a Japanese term that loosely translates as "tactics and strategy," but can also refer to skill, technique, trick, resources and — most interestingly — magic. The 10 tracks on Senjutsu clock in at just under 82 minutes, about 10 minutes shorter than their previous album, The Book Of Souls. It's their second-ever double album. Says frontman Bruce Dickinson, ?"We're all really excited about this album. We recorded it back in early 2019 during a break in the Legacy tour so we could maximise our touring yet still have a long set-up period before release to prepare great album art and something special as a video. Of course the pandemic delayed things more — so much for the best laid plans — or should that be ‘strategies'? The songs are very varied, and some of them are quite long. There's also one or two songs which sound pretty different to our usual style, and I think Maiden fans will be surprised — in a good way, I hope!" Packed in a wide spine triple gatefold cover with printed inner sleeves. Hype sticker with text: "Exclusive to Amazon 180g Silver & Black Triple Marble Vinyl Includes The Writing on the Wall and Stratego" (Parlophone – 0190295015916, Parlophone – 0190296718649)

  • White cassette shell. Distributed with a J-Card. "Parlophone Records (BMG in the US) will mark the 40th anniversary of Iron Maiden’s chart-topping third album, The Number Of The Beast with a commemorative cassette release on 18th March 2022 (25th March in the US). The cassette is comprised of the 2015 remastered recordings of the original eight songs on the album [...], with front cover colour art based on the 1982 C-60 cassette release plus a re-designed & updated inlay. " 'The Number of The Beast' is the first of Iron Maiden's 4 consecutive classic releases, and an absolutely essential piece in any metal fan's collection. For those not familiar with the metal genre, this is an excellent place to start, especially if they are familiar with the heavier bands of 70s rock, such as Led Zeppelin, Rush, and the Who. This album marks long-time singer Bruce Dickinson's debut with the band, and he makes his mark quickly as Maiden pulls away from the punk influence of former vocalist Paul Di'Anno (who was kicked out of the band for his descent into alcoholism), and adopts the style that will make them pioneers in the genre. Steve Harris really steps into his own as a songwriter on this album, as both the lyrics and music become increasingly complex and showcase the instrumental talent of the band on a level that Maiden's two previous albums, while strong in their own right, just never reached. • An infamous collection of very early C.B. recordings (with the two piece line-up consisting of Alberto The Crippler on guitar/vocals and Giulio The Bastard on drums/vocals)..: 336 SONGS – ASTI NOISE-GRIND PUNK at its roughest stage. Official reissue of CB’s most circulated tape, originally released in 1992, finally consecrated on vinyl… an unbelievable bloodbath of lo-fi rawness going from the embryonic thrashing punk/grind days to the radical nihilism of the band’s noisecore phase. This tape was the roots of Italian grindcore and the link between the end of an era (the unforgettable furious years of Italy’s hardcore punk pioneers) and the beginning of a new one more based on noise and manic speed. Ripped from pristine 1st generation sources and painstakingly remastered song by song at Toxic Basement Studio in 2022 to celebrate the 30th year anniversary since its first edition, this is hands down the best sounding version to date. Includes A2 insert/poster with scans of the original tape, photos, liner notes and a massive reproduction of the 1992 flyer. (F.O.A.D. Records)
  • One could argue this is not the first time the seasoned doom/black metal band Agnes Vein from Thessaloniki, GR has come up against a tough situation. Ever since the “…Of Chaos And Law” EP in 2004 and the long line of liveshows and releases started to unravel, the road hasn’t been favourable. They took the time necessary to prepare and release their debut album, utilizing the experience from sharing the stage with Manilla Road and Brocas Helm among others. In 2010 the relationship with Venerate Industries would form. “Duality” made an impression in the underground metal scene manifesting the influences of Bathory, Candlemass, Neurosis and Celtic Frost and came to be a landmark. The process that is the preparation for an Agnes Vein album took another 3 years, without any shortcuts and by the spring of 2013, “Soulship” came to define the status of the band, driven by a darker and experimental mood. The slow, heavy and bleak sentiment of the record wore off on the whole band’s existence and in the years that followed the struggles would mount up. A line-up change, endless friction influences and a deep consideration marked the new era, which was also highlighted by a number of headline shows as well as joined appearances with Neurosis and Mantar. By the end of 2021, the new Agnes Vein album will be completed, commencing a new, dark era. Limited Edition Cassete. Only 100 copies available! (Venerate Industries)
  • Ο συνδυασμός επιρροών είναι κάτι συνηθισμένο, αλλά η επιλογή των κατάλληλων και η εφαρμογή του είναι μια άλλη ιστορία. • The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars (often shortened to Ziggy Stardust) is the fifth studio album by English musician David Bowie, released on 16 June 1972 in the United Kingdom by RCA Records. It was produced by Bowie and Ken Scott and features Bowie's backing band the Spiders from Mars — Mick Ronson, Trevor Bolder and Mick Woodmansey. Most of the songs were written around the same time as its predecessor Hunky Dory. After that album was completed, recording for Ziggy Stardust commenced in November 1971 at Trident Studios in London, with further sessions in early February 1972. Described as a rock opera and a loose concept album, Ziggy Stardust concerns Bowie's titular alter ego Ziggy Stardust, a fictional androgynous, bisexual rock star who is sent to Earth as a savior before an impending apocalyptic disaster. The character was inspired by numerous musicians, including English singer Vince Taylor. Most of the album's concept was developed after the songs were recorded. The character was retained for the subsequent Ziggy Stardust Tour. A concert film of the same name, directed by D. A. Pennebaker, was filmed in July 1973 and released in 1979, and a live album from the same show followed in 1983. The music on Ziggy Stardust has been characterised as glam rock and proto-punk. Unlike its predecessor Hunky Dory, which was generally piano-led, the songs on Ziggy Stardust are primarily guitar-based, mostly due to the departure of keyboardist Rick Wakeman. The songs were influenced by Iggy Pop of the Stooges, Lou Reed of the Velvet Underground, and Marc Bolan of T. Rex. The album's lyrics discuss the artificiality of rock music, political issues, drug use, sexual orientation and stardom. The album cover, photographed by Brian Ward in monochrome and recoloured by Terry Pastor, was taken in London, outside the home of furriers "K. West". Preceded by the single "Starman", Ziggy Stardust peaked at number 5 on the UK Albums Chart and number 75 on the US Billboard 200. The album received widespread critical acclaim and, following his performance of "Starman" on the English television programme Top of the Pops, propelled Bowie to stardom. Not wanting Ziggy to define him, Bowie created a new character, Aladdin Sane, for his next album, which Bowie described as "Ziggy goes to America". It has since been called one of the most important albums in the glam rock genre and one of the greatest albums of all time. The album has been reissued several times and was remastered in 2012 for its 40th anniversary. In 2017, it was selected for preservation in the National Recording Registry, being deemed "culturally, historically, or artistically significant" by the Library of Congress. (Parlophone/2020)

The first of Bowie's legendary Berlin trilogy and the one that broke the most ground. It also caused so much consternation in the NME offices that they ran two reviews, one praising it to the skies, the other bewildered by Bowie's move towards the chilly electronic sounds that bore the influence of krautrock, particularly that of Kraftwerk and Neu! Collaborating with Brian Eno and produced by the genius Tony Digitally remastered edition. Heroes is the twelfth studio album by the iconic singer/songwriter, originally released on RCA Records in October 1977. The second installment of his Berlin Trilogy recorded with Brian Eno and Tony Visconti, Heroes continued the ambient experiments of Bowie's previous album Low (released earlier that year) and featured the contributions of King Crimson guitarist Robert Fripp. Of the three albums, it was the only one wholly recorded in Berlin. Recorded at Hansa Tonstudio in what was then West Berlin, Heroes reflected the zeitgeist of the Cold War, symbolized by the divided city. Co-producer Tony Visconti considered it "one of my last great adventures in making albums. (Parlophone ‎– DB 77822, Parlophone ‎– 0190295842840 )

New softcover edition with 16 added pages from previous hardcover edition of 2020. The first two editions of this English-language documentation (published under the title "Dead Moon - The Book") are now being traded at horrific prices - Ventil Verlag is now making the pure book version accessible to the European public at a cheaper price. Dead Moon were a lo-fi Garage/Rock’n’Roll band from Portland, Oregon, active for almost 20 years between 1987 and 2006, during which time the band gained a mythic and legendary iconic status. 'Off the Grid' is a 'dizzying oral history’ about this most stubborn, idealistic and arguably wildest band in the world – a saga about love itself and the love of rock and roll, about DIY and about an improbable career. The biography of singer & guitarist Fred Cole (formerly of The Weeds, Lollipop Shoppe and The Rats before Dead Moon) is like a rollercoaster ride through countless bands and musical styles beginning in the Teenbeat era of the 60s driven by an invisible force and one big love. Dead Moon cultivated their DIY code built around Fred's superstitions and avoidance of conventional music industry pitfalls. They toured around the world, played in live clubs between Oregon, Europe and New Zealand. They cut their own records and ran their own music store and label – Tombstone Music. Their story is completely unique in the pantheon of rock music: a group who never sold out, never gave in and built a legacy of art and community in a sustainable way almost unheard of. The book is a tribute to their unique aesthetic, unbelievable twisted path of a story and role as pioneers of the Portland music scene. ‘Off The Grid' is a declaration of love to Dead Moon, to music in general and to rock’n’roll in particular. The first two sold out US-editions of this book – first published in 2018 (Dead Moon – The Book, incl. 2 LPs) – meanwhile gained the status of collector items selling at an eye watering high price. The following third (and first) European hardcover edition published by Ventil in 2020 is sold out as well. We are now making it accessible again as an affordable softcover book (without the vinyl) for the worldwide market. The documentation tells the entire Dead Moon saga in the words of the band itself. Close friend, author and editor szim spent three summers (2013–2016) in Fred and Toody Coles's attic sifting through photos, flyers and tour diaries, collecting posters and T-shirts and conducting extensive interviews. This fourth revised and updated edition contains 16 more pages than the third and 36 more pages than the first one. The already extensive photo section now holds even more historical material, posters, flyers as well as an extended and completed discography and gig list. Exclusive to this edition is an interview with Edwin Heath, Dead Moon’s longtime tour manager and a detailed view on their musical equipment. 336 pages, full color Dimensions: 25.00 x 32.00 x 2.70 Item Weigh: 1.700

London 1977: Daniel Treacy drops out of school, bored to death. Thanks to a few pounds sterling, lent to him by his parents, he records a few songs with friends and sends the finished single to the legendary radio DJ John Peel, who is immediately thrilled - the Television Personalities are born .. In the turbulent life of Daniel Treacy we meet Jimmy Page, Bob Marley, Alan McGee, David Gilmour, Wham!, Nico and Kurt Cobain. Dreamworld is the very real, very crazy story of a genius in music history whose importance is not infrequently compared to that of Mark E. Smith of The Fall. Enriched with plenty of scene and period colour from British pop from the 1960s to the present, "Dreamworld" tells of all the ups and downs of a legend who once ironically (but quite rightly) described himself in an interview as the "Godfather of Indie Pop". The English translation by David Marshall is published with a completely revised colour picture section and numerous illustrations.
