  • OHYDA | koszmar | Tape

    5.00 (24% tax incl.)
Sophomore release by Lublin’s OHYDA. Picking up where their Self Titled LP left in 2016 their new 12” ups the feedback, aggression and psychedelic infused hardcore of their previous release to new levels. Sonically OHYDA are dark and anthemic, with a ferocious guitar tone and delay vocals backed up by a extremely solid rhythm section. Not afraid of riffs or creating atmospheric passages leading to explosions of noise full of nightmarish visions of the current world. Imagine ABADDON meeting HAWKWIND at Jarocin festival then using CRESS’s gear to write an album of distorted quasi industrial hardcore. I want to think that if the class of 1984 Polish hardcore had dreamed of what the future would sound it will be close to Koszmar. Recorded by Pawel Chyla at Backyard Studio and Mastered by Daniel Husayn at North London Bomb Factory. Koszmar comes in a heavy reverse board and insert designed by guitarist Mike. • Government Flu did tours in the United States of both the east and west coasts. For a band coming from Poland this was a big deal. Previously, there were only Polish bands started in the 80s - DEZERTER, ABADDON and ARMIA - who had been invited to the States and these tours had happened years before, between 1998-2003. In the case of Government Flu, their tours were the first longer proper tours for any Polish HC / Punk band in this country. In addition, what made these tours special is that they occurred without the financial backing of sponsors or official associations. During their west coast tour in 2016, Government Flu was invited to a recording session on KFJC radio in Los Altos Hills, California. In this studio, operating since the end of the 1950s, live sessions have seen the recording of many artists, including a number of HC / punk bands like Government Issue, Christ On Parade, The Ex, The Faction, Spazz, Dystopia, Asshole Parade and Corrupted. The Government Flu session was both recorded and also broadcast live on the airwaves. During this session they did seven songs in less than eight minutes. This resulted in the sound engineers asking, "That?s it?!" The whole session is now coming out on a limited edition of 250 copies on flexi EP. You might have a lot of records in your collection, but you do not yet have any release from a Polish HC / punk band recorded in the United States. G.L.O.S.S. | demo 2015 | 7′

    6.00 (24% tax incl.)
G.L.O.S.S. stands for Girls Living Outside Society's Shit. Reissue of their long-gone demotape, this time on vinyl. Pissed off, queer-as-fuck, ripping hardcore. Easily one of the best demos of 2015. (Sabotage Records) https://girlslivingoutsidesocietysshit.bandcamp.com/album/trans-day-of-revenge
  • Recorded at the same session that their debut EP on Static Shock Records and comprising one new track and two songs from their debut demo EFIALTIS second vinyl offering sees the band delivering a punch in the face of male musical normality. EFIALTIS, an all female London based trio with heavy Greek/ Cypriot/ Welsh roots, brings what feels like the most menacing, stomping feral punk recorded in the last few years. Their sound is militant and obviously punk based. Their songs are simple, anthemic and mechanical. Their beat is perfect marching punk and in my dreams I see a bill with CRISIS, STRESS(GR) and CONTROPOTERE where after the last note church, state and any form of oppression is overtaken. Recorded at NO Studios by the almighty John Hannon and with artwork by the band including a duotone lyric insert. (La Vida Es Un Mus) https://lavidaesunmus.bandcamp.com/album/7
  • After last year’s haunting demo, London’s EFIALTIS get the vinyl treatment with a fresh EP on Static Shock Records. Featuring three primitive stompers from their tape plus a riveting new one, EFIALTIS crash through the ruins of reality like an angry goddess in search of retribution. Four feral tracks of stripped down, high-energy, mid-tempo Punk, with despotic vocals and ominous Greek lyrics. The sharp guitar and buzzing bass wade through combative drumming, all tough as nails and perfectly enhancing the nightmarish unease underlying their sound. Ten minutes of ’80s-inspired, rudimentary jaggedness, complete with catchy songwriting, tight delivery and a production that’s appropriately massive and the right amount of shambolic. Featuring members of GOOD THROB, SARCASM, DREGS, BODY BUTTER and more. A skull-crashing must-have for the coming apocalypse. The “Provincial Wake” 7″ was recorded in 2017 by Felix Fung at Little Red Sounds Studios in Vancouver BC. The single is the first to feature Spectres’ new member Adam Mitchell on guitar and marks a further exploration of the melancholy pop dichotomy that Spectres have come to signify. • Release # 150 on Refuse Records is the second part of the Warsaw's Burning compilation. Ten years after the release of the first volume, which featured recordings from Warsaw’s best HC bands, the time has come to summarize the current state of hardcore here with this new selection of bands from the local scene. The number and quality of bands who have emerged over the last decade (some of them even surviving past this decade) was so inspiring that we had to get to work on the next chapter. These songs consist of eight tracks unreleased anywhere else (or in one case, unreleased in this version on vinyl), from eight bands who prove how capable, active and talented the scene in the capital of Poland is today. The bands appearing on this second volume are GOVERNMENT FLU, HEATSEEKER, NEGATIVE VIBES, MORUS, BRAINEATER, CAST IN IRON, JAD and GLAMOUR. One-time pressing of 400 copies. Cover art by Maciek Wolański from Heatseeker. (Refuse Records)

Five to-the-point tracks that explode with the intensity we've come to expect from their previous releases and raging live shows. Two years and several European tours after the "Executioner" EP on Refuse Records, Gothenburg, Sweden's own WASTE return with "Last One Standing". You say you like your hardcore punk served as something to believe in, but your mosh parts as ignorant as can be? Well, WASTE step up to challenge both your vices and your ability to establish some facts on the dancefloor. Five songs of straight edge hardcore that are equally pissed off and socially conscious. • MANIC RIDE | same title | 7″

    6.50 (24% tax incl.)
A new addition to the infamous hardcore punk roster of Malmö, Sweden, Refuse Records presents the debut EP by MANIC RIDE. Recorded at Studio Blakklodge with Jonas Sjölin (Skitkids, Infernöh), these five songs plunge deep into the sewers of 80s US hardcore, resurfacing the stink of classics like Poison Idea and Crucifix. • TIED DOWN | self titled | 7”

Nothing to prove, nothing to gain, exorcising our demons, baring our pain. UKHC veterans Tied Down hail from the North East of England and feature ex and current members of Voorhees and Break it Up. This is their debut release of 6 songs of old school hardcore that features aggression, rawness and melody all put into a musical blender and spat out into your face. FFO early NY and Boston hardcore punk with a distinct UKHC feel. Hardcore punks never die they just get angrier with age!! Co-release between Refuse Records and Sakari Empire. https://refuserecords.bandcamp.com/album/s-t-7ep-2
  • Finally back in stock! Power-violence rules, ok? Featuring former members of INFEST, NO COMMENT and LACK OF INTEREST. So, if those names mean nothing to you then check out all those bands. Why? because they rip and dip like few can. If you're familiar with those acts then you are already salivating and thinking that this is too good to be true. Honestly, it's a fucking great record - 10 tracks of straight forward hardcore. Recorded before 2001. (Deep Six Records / Draw Blank Records)
  • Reduced down to it's original two-piece core with Bob (LACK OF INTEREST) on drums and Matt (INFEST) on guitar/vox, LOW THREAT PROFILE deliver another 9 scoops of vanilla hardcore with a dollop of whip cream and a "fuck you" on top. (Deep Six Records / Draw Blank Records)
  • SWINEHOOD | payback time | 7″

    6.50 (24% tax incl.)
These are hand numbered out of 247 copies. Ugly and feral Scandanavian dirtbag-punk featuring members of Brainbombs, No Balls, Totalitär and The Teenage Graves. A-Side has three songs worth total slime, muscular and wildly careening minute-long blasts that are total punkfuck middle finger shits. "Wake Up And Piss" and "Payback Time (Last Day For My Boss)" are just upper-level neanderthal blasts of testosterone, but I think "In A World Full Of Crap" has a little something extra. A slight finesse to it and one of the only tunes with a time change in it, but it has that little something extra. B-Side has 3 more blast including the stomach churner "Slit My Throat On The Way Down”. The guy sounds like he means it, intoning the mantra over a repeated monster riff that might induce nausea after repeated spins and finally breaks into some gnarly feedback wailing. Overall this is the type of thing you might expect from Brainbombs/Totalitär members, although these guys sound a little bit more human. But not by much. Sick stuff for fans of Euro-filth. WARHEAD | cry of truth | 7″

    6.50 (24% tax incl.)
Black Vinyl! Split release with japanese label Break The Records! Officical re-release of the devastating debut EP from now-veteran Kyoto thrashers Warhead! Amazing Japanese hardcore from 1991. An absolutely jaw-dropping slab of intense, ravening thrash, blasting through five songs in less than eight minutes with an absurd amount of energy and power. I think this is one of the best Japanese hardcore EPs out there... a classic! Originally self-released by the band and then later reissued by Devour (Japan) and Amok Records (Germany). Highest recommendations! (Farewell Records/Break The Records)
  • Finally repressed. One of No Comment's earliest recordings, this 7" from 1989 features nine tracks of fast, tight hardcore that helped lay the foundation for the powerviolence scene in Southern California. It features one track that was omitted from the discography.. Classic. (Deep Six Records)
  • NO COMMENT | downsided | 7′

    6.50 (24% tax incl.)
One of the all-time greats of the power-violence genre! Blasting through 11 lightening-fast tracks in no time at all, and building upon the rage and brutality unleashed by Neanderthal and Infest with an additional Califonian/D.R.I. velocity. Downsided was No Comment’s second EP and it was originally released by Slap A Ham Records in 1992. (Deep Six Records)
