    23.00 (24% tax incl.)
In 1983, a foursome of self-released seven inch ep’s came out of the Lower East Side of Manhattan that heralded a new breed of hardcore punk for New York. Agnostic Front’s ‘United Blood’, Antidote’s ‘Thou Shall Not Kill’, Cause For Alarm’s self-titled release and The Abused’s ‘Loud and Clear’ all defined the sound and aesthetic of New York Hardcore for years to come with their sonic brutality and fervent lyrics. Since then, all of these records have been re-issued barring the latterly mentioned ‘Loud and Clear’. That is, until now. Radio Raheem proudly presents the first fully authorized re-issue of the ‘Loud and Clear’ ep. Pressed in the LP format, this 21-track collection is rounded out by the band's 1982 demo and never before heard live material. Also included is a 24-page, full color booklet containing photos, lyrics and the band's infamous show flyers drawn by their vocalist Kevin Crowley, as well as a sticker sheet replicating original Abused sticker designs. Finally, the most arcane and collectible piece of the early 80’s NYHC puzzle is available for both the tight pursed nerd and curious onlooker alike! (Radio Raheem Records)

  • The new and 2nd album for this Swedish band formed by ex-Shades Of Gray, Future Ruins members. 13 new tracks of old school death metal spiked D-BEAT crust punk remembering the best moments of Disfear, Martyrdöd and Entombed! The lyrically content is by far outstanding but let the band explain here: “Our new album The Wrath Of Euphrates is named after the military operation launched by the Syrian Democratic Forces against the ISIS, with the goal of capturing the Islamic State’s capital city Raqqa, a goal that was accomplished in October 2017. This lyrical content on this album could be seen as a time document, since most of the lyrics deal with events that took place in the world during the process of writing these songs. As much as this album should be seen as a canalization of our anger and fear over the populist politicians, climate change deniers, the oppression, the wars, the racism and misogyny that plagues our time, this album is also a tribute to the resistance. A tribute to the freedom fighters of Rojava, who defeated the world’s worst terrorist group and built real democracy in a place where democracy never existed. A tribute to all the people worldwide fighting against climate change, racism and misogyny. A tribute to the international punk community and to all other people who dedicate their lives to making this world a better place. The Wrath Of Euphrates was recorded by Ulf Blomberg in Hoborec studio, while the mixing and mastering was done by Henrik Udd. On this album we had the pleasure of working with some of our favorite punk/HC vocalists. We recorded 2 songs together with Tomas Jonsson of Anti Cimex/Wolfpack, who manage to deliver killer vocals despite the fact that he hadn’t been in a studio for 20 years. The album also features collaborations with Brad Boatright of From Ashes Rise, and with Nastya Palamar of Exist M. We hope you’re gonna enjoy it” – Mattias, Martin, Aleksei, Jack (Deviance, Phobia Records, Loner Cult and Dark Elk Records) https://phobiarecords.bandcamp.com/album/adrestia-the-wrath-of-euphrates-lp

Radio Raheem proudly presents this collection of long lost material from New York's #1 hardcore band, available here for the first time on (fully authorized) vinyl. The LP includes 34 tracks across two different recording sessions, the first predating the United Blood 7" and the second recorded just before the Victim In Pain LP. In addition, we dug deep into the NYHC vaults and assembled a massive 48-page, full color booklet, containing over 150 archival images tracing the band's early history from their start in 1982 until the end of their first nationwide tour in 1985 „ some you may have seen before, but many have never seen the light of day until now „ as well as commentary from members of the early NYHC scene. ANNIHILATION TIME | II | LP

    20.00 (24% tax incl.)
There’s a part during “Too High to Die”, the third track on Annihilation Time’s classic album II, where Jimmy Rose screams, “I got blood pouring from my mouth and I like the taste of it”. Over massive guitar riffs and even a cowbell, it sounds like the perfect storm of greasy 70s rock, blazing thrash and urgent 80s hardcore. You can almost feel the crushed beer cans underfoot. II stands as an American power punk rock classic now repressed in limited PURPLE VINYL! on Tee Pee Records!! Recorded in 2004 at Motorwolf Studios in Holland while the band was on tour, the album brings together the riffs of Thin Lizzy and Motorhead with the snarl of Black Flag and Siege. Forming in Southern California in 2001, Annihilation Time were ferocious and constant touring (and partying) with bands like Municipal Waste and Caustic Christ earned them a cult like following across the US and Europe. Since the band split in 2009, members have gone on to play in numerous bands including Lecherous Gaze. (Tee Pee Records)

  • BLITZ | second empire justice | LP

    17.50 (24% tax incl.)
Released a year after their much hearled debut album 'Voice of a Generation' , 'Second Empire Justice' features half the members from the original line-up and with a new sound. While initially being an Oi!/Skinhead Punk band, on 'Second Empire Justice' they not only changed members and their look but also their sound and released a Post-Punk classic with a heavy dose of Joy Division worship, produced by Chris Nagle. While Nagle had also produced their debut album, he had also engineered the Joy Division and New Order albums under Martin Hannett and had also engineered various other post punk albums of the day from the likes of The Durutti Column, A Certain Ratio and Magazine. Together the band and Nagle created a masterpiece while not appreciated at the time, especially by their original skinhead/Oi! fanbase. The album would go onto influence tons of post-punk/darkwave bands that sprouted from the ashes of punk/hardcore bands decades later and become one of the most sought after albums of the golden age of post-punk.. So sit back and listen to these beautiful moody haunting guitars, dancing basslines and emotionally fragile vocals all the while retaining a punk ferocity. For Fans of : Joy Division, Magazine, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, Killing Joke, The Middle Class Limited repress on Restless Empire. (Restless Empire Records)

  • CHAIN CULT | shallow grave | LP

    17.0020.00 (24% tax incl.)

Athen’s CHAIN CULT return with their first full length following a great Demo and 7” from last year. Recorded at Ignite Music by George Christoforidis during May and July of 2019, Shallow Grave shows the progression of a band who have played non-stop for two years, covering pretty much all of Europe. CHAIN CULT’s post punk is anthemic, militant and idealistic, putting music to a very dark and bleak time and place. You can hear echoes of early THE CURE, THE SOUND, Second Empire Justice era BLITZ or WIPERS in their music but also the passion and conviction of locals METRO DECAY, STRESS or ANTI… Very much a perfect reflection of what springs to mind thinking about the current Athens scene.

Shallow Grave comes housed in a reverse board sleeve including a printed inner sleeve with lyrics, all  designed by CHAIN CULT’s collaborator Aris Panagopoulos of A.D. Visions. (La Vida Es Un Mus Records) https://lavidaesunmus.bandcamp.com/album/shallow-grave-lp

  • CHANNEL 3 | ch 3 | LP

    16.00 (24% tax incl.)
Originally released on venerable Posh Boy Records in 1981, and reissued on the legendary UK label No Future to support their ever-growing European fan base, the "CH3" EP started the long and twisted career of one of the longest running bands among the prime movers of California Punk Rock. Hailing from the thriving community of Cerritos, whose frantic rhythms provided a natural soundtrack for boredom and outrageous alcohol abuse, Channel 3 were was formed by friends-since-third-grade Mike Magrann and Kim Gardener in 1980. Even though after their 'CH3' 12" and the seminal "Fear Of Life" LP the band kept moving towards a more technical approach, experimenting with other forms of music, their early production remains an archetype of young, angry, desperate suburban California punk rock. This enhanced reissue on Radiation also features their "I'll Take My Chances" 7", tracks from compilations, as well as the group’s 'lost' anthem: "Indian Summer". File next to: Adolescents, Black Flag, TSOL and Social Distortion. (Radiation Records)
  • CHAOTIC YOUTH | sad society | LP

    16.00 (24% tax incl.)
Hailing from Beith, Scotland, Chaotic Youth are still one of the best kept secrets of 80’s uk punk. Their long out of print and extremely rare E.P. from 1982, “Sad Society”, is an abrasive gem of pure UK82 sound… raw, angry, mean and catchy in all the right proportions, the powerful testament of a band that broke up too soon, disappearing not long after its release. It finally gets a well-deserved first vinyl reissue here, gathered with the tracks the band released in two compilations, ‘A Country Fit For Heroes’ and ‘Total Anarchy’ and making it the definitive collection of a great band that could stand proud next to the big names. 7 tracks of pure and glorious Uk82 mayhem! Long awaited vinyl reissue for one of the hidden gems of California punk rock. Sick Pleasure formed in 1980 when guitarist Michael Fox, future co-owner of San Francisco's legendary punk and industrial label Subterranean, teamed up with skaters Sal Paradise and Dave Chavez, and the infamous Nikki Sicki. The band lasted until 1982 when it just "wasn't fun anymore". At this point, Sick Pleasure had no material on wax and it seemed as if they would have gone down in history as another forgotten band of the hardcore era. The three members aside from Nikki went on to form Code Of Honor and Nikki went on to form Verbal Abuse in Houston. This was in late 1981, when Michael Fox's new roommate Jonhitin Christ, also the singer in the SF punk band Society Dog, stepped in on vocals and formed Code Of Honor. In later 1982, after Code Of Honor had established themselves, they released a split record featuring songs by both bands. Fully authorized by the original label and by founding member for both bands, Sal Paradise, finally you get an affordable alternative to fill in that void in your California punk record collection. (Radiation Records)
  • COKE BUST | confined | LP

    12.50 (24% tax incl.)
Washington DC's COKE BUST deliver nine more raging blasts of full on hardcore in its rawest and most primal form. "Confined," the band's latest release on Grave Mistake since 2011's "Degradation" EP, is their most intense work to date; which says a lot considering the sheer ferocity of the band's previous output. This is no surprise however, considering Coke Bust have spent the past seven years of their existence refusing to rest on their laurels; constantly refining their style and successfully outdoing themselves with each release. For the unacquainted, Coke Bust deliver their own brand of no frills fast hardcore, taking cues from bands like SIEGE, INFEST, and YOUTH OF TODAY. Fully embracing the "less is more" philosophy, the fat has been completely trimmed on "Confined," leaving nothing but prime cut at 45 revolutions per minute. During the 1980s, a time of conflict among alternative and increasingly tribal musical subcultures, an interesting compromise began to take form in the hardcore, punk and metal worlds. Blending the musical and visual elements of all three, this scene within several scenes came to be known as Crossover. Pulling together bands from diverse subcultural backgrounds (including the Skinhead, Oi and Anarcho scenes) to create a unique fusion whose appeal reached out to a large proportion of each of their fans, the movement was nevertheless overlooked by purists from each side. But inarguably, Crossover (or "Speedcore" as some came to call it), lent a fresh air to a metal scene at risk of stagnation, and brought a welcome atmosphere of experimentation to punk rock. Crossover The Edge contains in-depth features on over 100 key bands from the scene's 1980s heyday, including Agnostic Front, Cro Mags, Crumbsuckers, Leeway, Gang Green, Nuclear Assault, Lethal Aggression, D.R.I., Corrosion of Conformity, Impulse Manslaughter, Verbal Abuse, Attitude Adjustment, Suicidal Tendencies, Excel, Beowulf, Dr. Know, Septic Death, Cryptic Slaughter, Accused, Dayglo Abortions, Discharge, Broken Bones, English Dogs, Sacrilege, Warfare, Raw Power, Rumble Militia, Lobotomia, Overkill L.A., Mentors, Void and Amebix. Another 500 bands are also featured briefly. Format Paperback | 600 pages Publisher Cherry Red Records.

    18.00 (24% tax incl.)
This is the long out of print (on vinyl) LP that was made from the Dirty Rotten EP. It’s the orginal mix, master and song order. The band realized once they saw the prices on things that to do their 22 song 7″ as a 12″ would only cost a little more. So with that they did it and the ‘Dirty Rotten EP’ became the ‘Dirty Rotten LP. With more space between the grooves the songs became even louder and more intense then before. (Beer City Records)

Classic record available once again on vinyl. Originally released in 1986, Brian Baker (Minor Threat) and Dave Smalley (DYS, ALL, DOWN BY LAW) pretty much laid the blueprint for all "melodic hardcore" for decades to come with this LP. • Recorded in 1986, this is DEAD KENNEDYS' final studio album and these 21 tracks saw the band take a more "thrashy" edge to their sound, resulting in some of their most fast and intense tracks. The tracks have been digitally-remastered from the original studio tapes. (Let Them Eat Vinyl)

  • The remastered, release of 1981's "in god we trust", inclusive an all time hardcore classic 7" of furious anthems, including "nazi punks fuck off". (Let Them Eat Vinyl)
  • "plastic surgery disasters", The DEAD KENNEDYS' 2nd full-length (released in 1982), is probably their best album ever. This release established the band as one of the world's most controversial underground acts. Coupled with this is the much coveted, lightning-speed 1981 "in god we trust" release. An absolute must-have reissue. (Let Them Eat Vinyl)
  • US Import. Death were a black power trio from Detroit who released a single in 1975 and pretty much disappeared after that. Inspired by the raw Rock 'N' Roll of the Stooges and MC5, the three brothers moved away from their Funk/R&B roots into a new realm.... for the Whole World to See features the two songs from the single ('Keep on Knocking' and 'Politicians in My Eyes') and five other tracks. MOS DEF SAYS: "These dudes were pre-Sex Pistols, pre-Bad Brains, pre-all that shit, and nobody knows about them. I don't understand how the world could forget them. You really should read up on the history of this Rock n' Roll artifact. A google search will help; something like "death band punk 1974"... The album reminds me of these bands: MC5, The Jam, Zero Boys, Early Police, RadioBirdMan - to name a few. If any of those bands are at your top 10, then this is a must have piece in your collection. NOTE: They are also selling it on vinyl on here!!! The story to this piece of work is very interesting not to mention inspiring to say the least. The songs? All are hits in my mind. I just wish there were more!" (Drag City Records)

Their first tape last year was unbelievably gnarly, and on "Inhabit The Corpse", these ghouls have truly broken loose from the restraints of mortal frailty and are unleashing a thrashing, chorus drenched wickedness unheard by the likes of any puny human. Thine ears cannot possibly be prepared for their unholy onslaught, yet it is here and there is nothing you or anyone else on earth can do to stop it. Is there really a good reason to not surrender your soul over to absolute turpitude made manifest through what can best be described as the amalgam of Japanese black metal/punk rippers SEX MESSIAH and the (secretly Finnish) hardcore punk steamroller of a project SYUDAN JISATSU, or in other words: absolute shredding annihilation from beyond the veil? Many bands may try to unleash the darkness and have their invocations met with silence - or maybe a whisper if they’re lucky - as they fizzle out; but when DEVIL MASTER calls, death comes fucking ripping (and we should expect nothing less from villains who also have given us horrific creations as members of CAPE OV BATS, BLANK SPELL, INTEGRITY, and THE DRIP to name a few). In just four tracks, Devil Master shatters your nerves, breaks your will, and drags your limp and drained vessel back into the world, leaving you all alone with nothing but reflection of what has come to pass as you sputter and sob, waiting for the end. This is an experience which is not to be missed. (Erste Theke Tontraeger) https://erstetheketontraeger.bandcamp.com/album/ett-055-devil-master-s-t-ep

The Band you've been looking for for a long time, with sounds of dissimilar genres that don't usually cross combined, is out when you least expect it to be. Devil Master with their four tracks of devilish hardcore punk in the vein of GAI or LSD packed in a deathrock vibe. The Japanese hardcore influence is prevalent but there is so much more! That is punk, metal and goth inspired hardcore punk with demonic vocals and hard as nail beats which is extremely hard to shake once you hear it. The torturous maelstrom sounds of bone breaks and thuggish isolationism. Howling feedback underscores the massive swirling riffs and relentless battery of drums. Foul, tumultuous vocals made entirely of the final exhalations of humanity really send this opus to the apex. A perfect band. The four distorted tracks on this EP mix perfectly the low end reverb soaked deathrock influences with the best of the International Hardcore Punk of the early 80's. Making it a masterpiece of timeless punk. This EP is a perfectly wild and superbly crafted sheet of brutal noise with a pounding goth backbone all jacked up on blackened metal freakout space jams. And you know that Satan smiled when he heard this! (Erste Theke Tontraeger) https://erstetheketontraeger.bandcamp.com/album/ett-055-devil-master-s-t-ep
  • “Beer City Skateboards and Records is proud to reissue the classic, phenomenal first 7” of the early 80’s hardcore band : DIE KREUZEN — Cows and Beer ! After having been out of print for nearly 30 years the original master tapes from this ground breaking release had finally been restored, remastered and given a proper reissue! “We are doing this because we want to squash the bootleggers,” DIE KREUZEN singer Dan Kubinski explains. “For years they have been putting out inferior-quality bullshit and ripping off our fans. We want to give our fans a very clean, crisp, loud-and-heavy version of Cows and Beer. Billy Cicerelli from WMSE did the initial remastering and then Dave Eik of Lucky Lacquers did further remastering and cut the lacquers -and man, did they do an awesome job! This new version blows the doors and windows off of any other, including the original Version Sound release” Recorded in a few hours on Sept 11 1982 at a recording studio deep in Milwaukee’s south side. The result would be 6 songs that would help redefine the intensity and standard of this newly forming off shot of punk known as hardcore. Some even say this record is the paving way for another offshoot of punk that would rear its head some years latter and become known as thrash! When this record originally came out it was limited to a few short-run pressings. This time it will be released as a special RSD release for 2014 and will come on five different colors of vinyl for a grand total of 5000! (1000 each of red, gold, blue, green & clear vinyl). To make things even more spectacular, this record will feature brand new liner notes by the band as well as the original lyric sheet and then the one from the second pressing!” (Beer City Records)

Originally released in 1991 War Cry was one of the first purely DISCHARGE influenced bands to span what later become popularly known as D-Beat. Hailing from Halifax, they were part of a new wave of raging UK bands with worshiped "Why" as the finest piece on non-music ever recorded. DISASTER faded into obscurity shortly after releasing their MLP and War Cry became a cult record among raw hardcore fans worldwide counting visionaries as Kawakami from DISCLOSE as one of their biggest fans. Finally reissued on CD in Japan in 2006 with extra live sets and unreleased songs LVEUM decide to bring this record back to life on its original format. This reissue comes with an extra Flexi Disc including two Discharge cover songs ( "Mania from Conquest" off the V/A Discharged CD and the unreleased "Fight Back" from the War Cry MLP session) as well as "Death Race" from the "A nightmare on Albion Street" compilation LP. DISCARD | death from above | 7′

    6.50 (24% tax incl.)
Reissued again. Here's some classic d-beat tunes from a pioneering band for the d-beat swedish punk (or Käng). Discard was formed in early/mid 80's and members were involved with bands such as Mob 47 & Protest Bengt (Åke, Chrille) and Agoni (Per). They were one of the first bands that gave breath to the Discharge worship in the Swedish scene the latter years. Death from Above EP was released by Jesus Kudd records in 1990 and was much later re-released by Rodel Records and it consists of six dis-tracks coming straight outta the Discharge recordings of the "Hear nothing..." era, nothing more or less than that. Discard had also a demo tape from 1985 (where all the tracks coming from), the Four Minutes past Midnight full length and contributed tracks in Really Fast Vol 3 compilation. (7inchcrust.blogspot.cz). This 2015 reissue comes in a nice screen printed folder out sleeve. (Insane Society Records) https://insanesocietyrecords.bandcamp.com/album/discard-death-from-above-ep
  • DELUXE VINYL EDITION!!! CLEAR VINYL Official Discharge reissue of this legendary live release from the band’s golden days, originally released on Clay Records in 1989. A slab of pure rawness that captures these UK Punk icons in an intense, ultra-powerful performance during their legendary 2nd US tour in autumn 1983. These recordings were taped on the sound desk on the night of the concert and although they may lack the technology of full studio recordings they nevertheless capture the live excitement of a Discharge gig. Discharge's fourth EP. You know that you can rely on Havoc Records to take the utmost care and love in reissuing these singles, and Felix has done a great job reproducing the original artwork and getting a solid, powerful mastering job. Musically, what needs to be said? This is f***ing DISCHARGE and all of these early singles should be in everyone's collection in some form or another. (Havoc Records)

  • 20 years ago DISCLOSE released their response to the greatest hardcore 12” ever released: DISCHARGE’s Why. At the time the band was at the peak of their DISCHARGE era and had perfectly crafted a trademark sound, which shows through on the recording. The chainsaw-sounding double-toned guitar, Kawakami’s unmistakable vocals, and a rhythm section firmly based on the Stoke-On-Trent’s beat melded together to create a repetitive mantra-like noise chant. Recorded at Grove Cargo and mastered at Studio D-Takt by Jan Jutila, the production is a perfect example of noise not music pressed into vinyl, with both high and low frequencies cutting through the mix without losing any power. Lyrically Nightmare Or Reality focuses on the tragic sights of bullshit fucking war while aurally the record is a full-blown attack on all senses. D-Beat Raw Punk at its best. 20 years on and many times imitated but never duplicated. Originally released by MCR Company, this 20 year anniversary official reissue comes in a printed inner sleeve and heavy board outer sleeve. (La Vida Es Un Mus Records)
  • DISCLOSE | tragedy | LP

    19.00 (24% tax incl.)
180 Gram record housed in a paste on board sleeve. Indiscriminate cruelty to common people: the slogan could be about war or it could be about your eardrums while listening to 'Tragedy.' Disclose's first LP is a landmark of cacophonous, guitar-forward noisy hardcore. Heavily influenced by classic 80s Swedish raw punk, these fifteen songs perfect the unrelenting formula as only Kawakami could. Originally released in Japan on the cult label Overthrow in 1994, this reissue restores the fierce original mix two decades later. It differs from the mix on later represses hailing from Uppsala, where Swedish bombshelter-dwellers keep the flame alive. This authorized reissue reproduces the original artwork, with insert. Crack your brain up! (La Vida Es Un Mus)
  • DOOM | total doom | 2xLP

    23.00 (24% tax incl.)
Doom is an English crust punk band from Birmingham, England, formed in 1987. Despite its short existence (though Doom is active on the live scene as of late), the band is considered pivotal in the rise of crust punk movement. They recorded for Peaceville Records and are cited as an early precursor to the grindcore style of heavy metal music, & are often compared with seminal act Discharge. Doom were also a favorite of BBC Radio DJ John Peel. In its formative years, Peaceville had heard about Doom through word of mouth and asked if they were interested in contributing songs to the first compilation, "A Vile Peace". Doom went into the studio to record their first demo on 28 August 1987. Three songs were recorded, two of which appeared on "A Vile Peace". On the strength of this first recording Peaceville asked Doom if they would record a full LP for them, which they agreed to do. In Feburary 1988, Doom went into the "Rich Bitch" studios and recorded 21 songs for the album, "War Crimes". "Total Doom" was the band's second album, originally released in 1989, & was a collection of the "Police Bastard" EP, "War Crimes" LP, plus the "Bury the Debt - not the Dead" split release tracks. This edition of Total Doom is presented on double 180gm heavyweight black vinyl with gatefold sleeve. Tracks 1-21 previously available as "War Crimes - Inhuman Beings" (Peaceville Records LP; VILE 4) Tracks 22-31 previously available as "Bury The Debt - Not The Dead" (Peaceville Records LP; Vile II) Tracks 32-36 previously available as "Police Bastard"-7" Track 37 to be used as a compilation LP track in benefit of the "1 in 12" Club. • Reissue of this 1994 album from the Crust/Doom Metal band. HUMAN GARBAGE was the first full length (1994) released on the bands' own Life is Abuse and Misanthropic Records. From '91 to '93 Dystopia existed as a four piece. Included with this release are the tracks from splits with GRIEF and EMBITTERED, both from 1993 and another only previously released on the first CD format of this collection. Out of print for years these songs find a new home at Tankcrimes. The pure anger and misery that is constantly present on this record make it undoubtedly one of the most disturbing, depressing and misanthropic records ever. An essential part of any sludge punk, crust metal or doom fan's collection. (Tankcrimes Records) https://downloads.tankcrimes.com/album/human-garbage
  • This is the 2007 re-issue of the 1st two EARTH CRISIS 7"s that brought the vegan-straight-edge movement to the forefront of the hardcore scene in the '90s on one LP. It combines both the "all out war" (1992) and "firestorm" 7"s (1993) in their entirety for a total of 8 songs. Vinyl includes a digital download card. (Victory Records)

This is it! The best EXTORTION record! Their first full length, finally available again on vinyl. This is a masterpiece of modern powerviolence and in my opinion one of the best Australian hardcore LPs of all time. Don’t miss out on it this time round! Absolutely Essential! Extortion is a Hardcore Punk band from Perth, Western Australia. I absolutely love the vocals. if you like bands like Siege, Infest, Crossed Out, Negative fx, Poison Idea, Nailed Down, Dwarves, No Comment, then this band is for you. • EXTORTION | loose screws | 10″

    11.00 (24% tax incl.)
Arguably the most potent musical force Australian music has seen in the last couple years, Perth's EXTORTION are set to launch a fresh attack on the senses with their latest balls-out thrash incursion, "loose screws". A 12 track effort pushes EXTORTION's well-established power-violence sound to face-ripping new extremes. Recorded across 3 continents, the basic tracks were laid down in California by producer Dan Rathbun (Tragedy, His Hero is Gone, Talk Is Poison), then completed vocals in Perth. As one final flourish, UK-based celebrity EXTORTION fan, Barney of NAPALM DEATH, added his unmistakable roar to the aptly titled "grind to a halt". (Deep Six Records / Draw Blank Records)
  • Formed in 1985 as one of the leading figures of the burgeoning UK grindcore scene (along with such acts as Carcass or Napalm Death), Extreme Noise Terror's popularity immediately went over the roof as they became one of the personal faves of no less than John Peel, who went on to give them three session (the first and the last of which were soon released on Strange Fruit). This legendary perfomance at the Fulham Greyhound, recorded when the band was on top of their game, shows one of most influential names in the metal and punk scene at their rawest and most ferocious. 'Bullshit Propaganda', 'Show Us You Care', Another Nail In The Coffin', are just a few of the hits captured that night on this recently exhumed recording, on vinyl for the first time in this fully-legit, remastered and beatifully packaged version. (Radiation Records)
  • "The fall of 1981 found the Washington, DC punk scene in one of the first of many fallow periods when a number of active bands broke up at the same time. SOA, Minor Threat, Red C and The Untouchables had all split up, and this resulted in a number of the musicians reorganizing. Mike and Ivor from SOA formed a new band with Alec of The Untouchables singing and another Wilson High School kid, Chris Bald, on bass. They called themselves 'The Faith' and played their first show at H.B. Woodlawn High School in November '81. At the end of 1982, Eddie (also a former member of The Untouchables) joined Faith as a second guitarist and six months later they recorded the Subject to Change 12" EP. Though clocking in at less than 14 minutes, this record was hugely important to the people here in D.C. and to others around the country and the world that were interested in the music here. On Subject to Change Faith introduced a layered melodic approach that would blossom fully in later Faith-related bands like Rites of Spring and Embrace. Unfortunately, by the time anybody heard Subject to Change, the band was no more. The interpersonal strife proved too much and Faith played their last show in August 1983. The record was released posthumously four months later. While Minor Threat is often held up as the preeminent DC band of the early years, for many of the people living here it was with the Faith that they felt the strongest connection to, and it was a sad day when they played their last show. For this reissued edition of Subject to Change we have expanded the release from its original EP format into a full-length with the addition of 11 tracks from the band's first demo recorded in 1981 at Inner Ear Studios. Most of these songs were later re-recorded and included on the band's 1982 split LP with Void (DIS 008LP)." (Dischord Records) https://faith.bandcamp.com/album/subject-to-change-plus-first-demo

  • FURY | failed entertaiment | LP

    26.00 (24% tax incl.)
Forming in 2014, Fury established themselves quickly, releasing both a demo on Washington, D.C.’s Mosher Delight Records and the “Kingdom Come” EP on Boston’s Triple B Records in the same calendar year. They built on the melodic legacy of Orange County by way of heavy, rhythmic, start-stop guitars and Stith’s wordy and referential lyrics. Then, in 2016, came their debut LP on Triple B Records, “Paramount,” which was met with respect from the hardcore community and praise from outsider critics.
Now, two New Year’s Eves later, Fury releases “Failed Entertainment,” their sophomore LP and debut with Boston-based Run For Cover Records. As with their previous records, “Failed Entertainment” was recorded by Colin Knight and their own guitarist Madison Woodward at Paradise Records, in Anaheim. This time, though, the band also sought new surroundings and outside expertise, collaborating with engineer Andrew Oswald at Secret Bathroom Studios, as well as mixing engineer Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden, Seaweed). The new batch of songs shows growth in all directions: the slow parts more brooding, the melodies catchier, the lyrics out even further on the limb. From the hammer-ons at the beginning of “Angels Over Berlin” to the tambourine on “Crazy Horses Run Free"
“Failed Entertainment” documents the work, both personal and creative, undertaken since the release of “Paramount,” a period of time marked by as many difficulties as successes. Stith said, “I’ve asked myself ‘Why have I done this?’ and ‘Why do I continue to do this?’ more times in the last two years than the rest of my life combined.” Those eternal, existential questions form the thematic foundation of the new songs, which look past the superficial concerns about status and popularity that preoccupy so many musicians, focusing instead on life’s inevitable, inescapable problems and the ways in which they can be compounded by the banal realities of art-making — the isolation of being on tour, the pressure of being expected to somehow transform that universal angst into nice, catchy songs that provide simple lessons.
What finally emerges is nothing less than Fury’s take on the human experience, an attempt to describe every person’s life and how it interacts with others through unmatched highs, desperate lows, and mundane middles. Though the idea that the human experience is something that can be understood and labeled is either right on the nose or too grandiose. But to Stith, the goal was to fit every last drop of humanity in between the grooves of the record, and that’s where the success and failure of this entertainment lies. “I’ll never be able to communicate every single thought and feeling,” says Stith “, a Failed Entertainment.” (Run For The Cover Records) https://furyhc.bandcamp.com/album/failed-entertainment
  • FURY | paramount | LP

    22.00 (24% tax incl.)
At the apex of FURY's short and startling rise from a providential birth in late 2013. The Orange County five-piece has delivered "paramount", a debut full-length album of grace, erudition and effortless virtuosity that guarantees FURY's induction into the tiny fraternity of epochal hardcore bands. "paramount" is impossible to characterize in the usual terms of a-meets-b direct influence: maybe you hear BURN, maybe you hear OUTBURST or BEYOND or SUPERTOUCH, but no combination of such references conveys the subtlety of the songwriting. (Triple B Records)

    16.00 (24% tax incl.)
This cool split collects the recorded works of two very feral and raucous Japanese hardcore bands from the '80s, Gasmask and Coward. Both bands hailed from Osaka, and originally released EPs on the Skeleton label. The Gasmask portion of this record contains their amazing 7" EP, two live songs, an unreleased track and two collaborations with Coward called Cowmask. On the Coward portion you get their 7" EP (sometimes called Voice), which was posted here way back when the Hearse first rolled out of the garage. You also get two tracks from the Ninngenn Omnibus compilation, some live stuff, and three collaborations with Gasmask called Gasward. Both bands are absolutely crazy great! (Fan Club)
