Translated into "The Homage to the Fanatics of the March" - The legend of the Polish underground scene of the 1980s and their earliest dive into the cold-wave. The 1984 was one of the most creative and unlucky bands of the 80s. After 30 years, it’s time to remind their earliest, cold wave incarnation. As these pieces generally have never been realised in a studio, the LP contains two shows from 1985 and 1986 recorded at the JAROCIN FESTIVAL. Still magical and powerful, this sound is good enough to be considered as studio recordings. - A large, 24-page booklet with lirics and photos from the past is coming with the vinyl. (Pasazer Records)

  • Record Store Day 2021 release on White Vinyl and Poster Limited to 500 Copies. Hailing from London's working class East End, The 4-Skins formed in 1979 at the very onset of Oi! music. By the time this, their 2nd full length, was released in 1983 by the Syndicate Records label, the group had gone through numerous line-up changes and were now sporting a heavier, more melodic,  hard rock-based sound fronted by ex-Last Resort vocalist, Roi Pearce. One of the hardest hitting punk albums of the '80s A Fistful Of 4-Skins is reissued here on LP with 2 tracks ("On The Streets" from the 'Son Of Oi!' compilation and a demo version of 'Saturday') added as bonus! (Radiation Records)
  • The CHORUS formed out of frustration to the hectic and undisciplined punk scene. Taking cues from the more extreme East Coast hardcore bands mixed with their own groove and style, the CHORUS would arguably be the blueprint for the burgeoning, West Coast, militant straight-edge scene. Originally released 30 years ago on the formative Nemesis Records, Truth Gives Wings To Strength became an instant classic that has gone on to influence countless bands. Thirtieth anniversary re-press available on silver vinyl, limited to 250 copies. (Organized Crime Records)

The original release was the result of international DIY efforts avoiding the narrow-mindedness of the Iron Curtain. It also brought together two of the strongest scenes of the Eastern Bloc - Polish and Yugoslavian. All of the recordings were done in Borut Cine Studio, in Ljubljana, during Abaddon's tour of Yugoslavia. Invited by Peter Barbaric, they also played a couple of shows with bands like Pankrti or U.B.R. The "Wet za wet" LP was then released by New Wave Records from France. Because of this, and also thanks to worldwide tape-traders and the band's appearances on comp. tapes like "Noise Behind the Iron Dustbin" or "Cultural Compost Pit", as well as a bootleg split-tape with Rejestracja, they were quite well-known beyond their home country. In Poland, their regular performances at the Jarocin Festival and appearances on legendary compilations like "Fala" and "Jak punk to punk" established the band as one of the classics of the genre. The LP contains 8 fast, direct, and tight Hardcore Punk ragers and a great roots/dub song called "Ljubljana night." Coming from their Polish/Eastern European perspective, the album's lyrics and artwork expressed a protest against any form of authoritarian power - from the brutality of fascism during WWII and the 1981 revolts in Poland, to more current world problems of the time, like Apartheid in South Africa and the global arms race. In the context of Poland's political climate in the 80s, their lyrics and music were seriously impressive. Mastering for the reissue was done from the original sources by Jarek Smok at Studio As One (Warsaw). The LP features a gatefold cover, an additional booklet with an exclusive interview with Tomasz Dorn, drummer of Abaddon and words from Patrice (New Wave Records) and plenty of rare photos (including the work of Michał Wasążnik - one of the best documenters of 80s punk in Poland). All of the lyrics and the interview come with English translations. One of the most classic releases of Polish Hardcore Punk available again on vinyl! (Warsaw Pact Records)
  • Originally released in 1985, this is the sole album by Tony Cadenas' own The Abandoned, the band he formed after the Adolescents original break up in 1981. Sounding a lot like Tony's original band but with an heavier Germs influence, and a more metallic, darker, almost Motörhead-esque touch. As long as Adolescents got back on track, right before releasing their mid '80s comeback masterpiece 'Brats In Battalions' this obscure page of California punk rock history got completely forgotten and was never reopened until today. A band that really pushed the boundaries for the time while sticking to their roots, something most bands were not able to do. A must for all California punk rock maniacs out there!

  • When the punks go marching in" is the 1982 debut album by punk legends Abrasive Wheels. Hailing from Leeds, the band were seldom out of the Independent charts between 1980 and 1984 when the band split. It's a very youthful-sounding album, littered with barely concealed influences (the "Holidays in the Sun" guitar on "First Rule [No Rule]" is a dead giveaway), but there's no denying either the quality or the fervency of the music and, by the time you hit the title track, a partial take on the old "When the Saints Go Marching In," exhaustion is the least of your emotions. For fans of CHRON GEN, THE PARTISANS and CHAOS UK. (Puke n Vomit Records)
  • Originally released in 1983 on Fallout Records. Their debut album gets its first ever worldwide reissue thanks to Puke n Vomit Records. Amazing catchy blistering Punk with great Post-Punk elements makes this one of the coolest 80s UK Punk albums ever. Originating from Essex, the band formed in 1980 and quickly grew in popularity in part from their energetic performances and catchy songs and the presence of exuberant vocalist Alison ‘George Cheex’ Roberts, Their debut single a split with Dead Mans Shadow was released in 1981, that lead to them getting some seriously heavy BBC airplay courtesy of DJ John Peel. This was followed by their 'Suicide Bag' 7' on Fallout in 1982 and that single quickly climbed the UK Indie charts. When the LP 'Mercury Theatre - On The Air!' was released in 1983 it climbed all the way to #5 on the indie charts. (Puke n Vomit Records)

Adventurous southern California punk trio Agent Orange was the first band to mix surf rock with punk. The group was formed in1l979 in Placentia, a small town close to Fullerton and Anaheim, by frontman Mike Palm on guitar and lead vocals, Steve Soto on bass and Scott Miller on drums. That early line up recorded the classic version of "Bloodstains" in 1979 as a demo produced by Daniel R. van Patten (of the group Berlin). A year later it was included on the seminal Rodney On The Roq compilation album released by Posh Boy Records. Meanwhile James Levesque had replaced Steve Soto (Adolescents) and the new line up released their own self produced and self released 7" ep in 1980. A year later, the group signed with Robbie Fields' Posh Boy Records for their debut LP Living In Darkness, co-produced by Fields and former Simpletones guitarist Jay Lansford. The album was recorded at Brian Elliott’s store front studio in North Hollywood (a few years before Elliott struck gold writing Madonna’s “Papa Don’t Preach”). • The wait was long, but now it's ready! A dignified follow-up of their first album! An intense Dolp from this dark crust band from Gothenburg. I haven't really enough words to describe this brutal yet twisted attack on my eardrums. Eight songs in just over 72 minutes(!) of death and blackmetal gloom with a healthy dose of crust punk influences leaving me speechless. The Double Lp comes in a beautiful gatefold with a foldout insert. CD version is being released in the US by Profane Existence. (Skuld Records)

  • This is the band’s 9th studio release and their first new music in 5 years. Produced and mixed by Cameron Webb, Is This Thing Cursed? is the first Alkaline Trio album written almost entirely in the studio. It’s when the songs began to come together that the band noticed the new material forming parallels with Maybe I’ll Catch Fire. According to the band, Is This Thing Cursed? is a cousin or sibling to Fire. Co-lead vocalist and bassist Dan Andriano explains, “the songwriting process is almost like what it was back in the day. We would just kind of write a song, be excited about it, then move on. We wrote in that spirit in the studio. I really feel like we made a record that the old school fans are going to dig.” European version on 180 gram vinyl. (Epitaph / Heart And Skull Records)
  • For over 25 years, All Out War proves that age has only honed the band's capabilities on "Dying Gods" and drove the band to look toward to the next chapter in "Give Us Extinction." "Give Us Extinction" continues in the assault, but strives to unleash even more pummeling brutality. "Give Us Extinction," like the timelessly brutal albums "For Those Who Were Crucified" and "Dying Gods," was engineered and produced by Steve Evetts (Hatebreed, Turmoil, Buried Alive, Suicide Silence) and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Studios in New York. (Organized Crime Records)
  • All Pigs Must Die is a new band that is rapidly and viciously taking the world by storm! Right off the bat, their pedigree gives them an advantage. Kevin Baker (The Hope Conspiracy) is the throat and Ben Koller (Converge) is the battery. Although the band s members hail from these known modern hardcore/metal acts, they turn their more crust punk/d-beat-driven aggression outward with this band. God Is War is the first full-length studio album by the American metalcore band All Pigs Must Die. It was produced by Kurt Ballou and released on August 16, 2011 through Southern Lord Records. The cover artwork was designed by German illustrator Florian Bertmer. (Southern Lord Records)

Writing about punk, especially hardcore seems to be a topic that has been passed over by most music writers. You see tons of books about the early days of punk and bands like the Ramones, Clash, Sex Pistols etc..(if you believed what those books said or VH1, punk ended they day Sid Vicous died), but very rarely do groups like Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, Minor Threat, and the hundreds others that followed in their wake get any coverage from a mainstream media. American Hardcore sets out to fill the missing piece of history that was the hardcore scene. This is an oral history of the scene as told by the author, who was a D.C. promoter and played in a band called No Trend, and interviews done by the author with the people created hardcore. He talks with some of the biggest names in the scene including: Milo Aukermen, Brian Baker, Jello Biafra, Dez Cadena, Glenn Danzig, Greg Ginn, Greg Graffin, Jack Grisham, Brett Gurewitz, Ian Mackaye, Mike Ness, Henry Rollins, Mike Watt, and many more both of larger and smaller bands spread throughout country. This personal accounts and the telling of many private and unknown stories gives the book a very intimate feel and by the end, I felt as if I understood some of the frequent contributors better and was better able to understand some of their more personal lyrics and songs. The book is divided into four parts, each with its own chapters. The first part takes a look at why hardcore happened, what were the major influences within and around the scene that prompted it to react the way it did. It discusses topics such as violence at shows, the (rightful) hatred and distrust of the police, racism and sexism in scene or more specifically why it was predominately white and male. It also talks about some of the homosexual people that helped create hardcore. The book also talks about things like straight edge, anti-fashion, people coming from middle class suburbs and stuff like that. The second part is definetly the best part. This part was about the bands and the scenes from all over the country. The best thing is that this book isn't all about the west coast or the east coast, the author attempted and made a really good effort to cover every scene from every area around the country. Some scenes and bands get more attention than others; Black Flag, Misfits, and Bad Brains each got their own chapters, and California was divided into 3 chapters, while others barely get a paragraph. When he does do the chapters on the scenes, the author starts with the bigger bands from that scene and then moves down to the smaller groups. Which is cool that he names the smaller groups along with larger ones, it does get tedious after awhile when you have never heard of some of these bands and just want to skip to the next chapter. Also this is my pet peeve through out the book, when he talks about scenes in different towns he always mentions shows his band played, especially if they were with big bands. While that's cool and I would give my left nut to see the Dead Kennedys play in their prime, let alone open for them, it got really annoying after awhile. The third part tends to drag on bit as it talks about the formation of labels, artwork, the d.i.y ethic, and media portray in movies and TV. I did learn some interesting things in this section though. For instance Belushi was the person responsible for getting FEAR to play on SNL, one more reason he is a god, and if you look during the second performance at the end Ian Mackaye grabs the mic and yells "New York Sucks!" The fourth and final section is about the demise of hardcore and why after 86 or so it became irrelevant, at least in this author's eyes, as most of the good bands quit or started new projects that were labeled "post hardcore" or "emo". A really interesting part at the end has many of the big names from the scene discussing punk/hardcore and its relevance today, and how today's scene differs from then. While some comments sounded elitist, I will give them credit that being punk during the time period 80-86 was a lot more dangerous than it is now, I have never been beaten down for the way I looked, or had cops shut down a show with tear gas and billy clubs, in some ways I feel lucky for that. He also includes a discography at the end for almost every band that recorded something, but he limits it to stuff that was only recorded in-between those magic years, or stuff that was done after 86 that the author feels was relevant. Which to me is really heavy-handed, take Bad Religion for instance, under their discography it stops after the "Back To the Known" EP, I would have included "Suffer" which was done in 87 (I think). Same with Social Distortion, with them it seems like they must have quit after "Mommy's Little Monster". Overall this book offers a very intimate and personal account of hardcore punk between the years 1980-1986. Although at times the author and contributors sound heavy handed as we started this so we are more hardcore and what not, it still is a really enjoyable read, I couldn't put it down and finished it in about a week. If for nothing else the some of the pictures are worth the price of the book alone. Some great live shots and just pictures of people hanging out and being part of the scene are cool, along with the, at times, arty pictures at the beginning of each chapter. (My favorite is called "America" and is a picture of an old worn out chair sitting in front of a busted TV set in a vacant lot). I think that anyone who is a fan of older punk bands should check this out, it gives some great background on your favorite bands and introduces you to some that time has passed over. I know I have been trying to track down some of these bands after reading about them to listen to them.

Amyl and the Sniffers are a punk band possessed by the spirit of seventies Australian rock. Amy Taylor (vocals), Bryce Wilson (drums), Dec Martens (guitar) are former housemates who formed the band, wrote a handful of tunes and released their debut EP, Giddy Up, all in a span of twelve hours. Completing their line up with Gus Romer on bass, the band take their cues from a diverse bunch of legends including AC/DC, Cosmic Psychos, Dolly Parton and Die Antwoord, setting out to have as much fun as possible. Their 2nd EP, Big Attraction, was released in February 2017, kicking off a stellar year for these young punks. Growing buzz around their blistering live show made the band a hot tip at Bigsound in Brisbane, while the band was added to festival line-ups including Meredith and CherryRock17. The band and were invited to join the Cosmic Psychos on their forthcoming November/December tour and capped off the year with a sellout NYE show at the legendary Tote in their home town of Melbourne. 2018 sees Amyl And The Sniffers ratchet up another couple of gears with their first national headline tour in April followed by UK shows in May, and their first North American tour in June with fellow Melbournians King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard. • Formed in Derbyshire, in early 1978 by vocalist Martin Roper and guitarist Dugi Bell, Anti-Pasti were one of the big names of the 1980-1982 wave of UK punk, lagging only slightly behind The Exploited, GBH, and Discharge in terms of sales and leather-jacketed endorsements. Their debut album, which reached #31 on the UK charts, was originally released on the Rondelet label in 1981. That classic LP is faithfully reproduced here on vinyl with the addition of four bonus tracks from their first single, 1980s 'Four Sore Points'. A milestone in UK political punk!

  • The seventh full-length ANTI-FLAG album "The People or the Gun" is the first Anti-Flag release on SideOneDummy and starts off fast and furious as Chris #2 takes aim at those who use the Bible to control the masses. If the album's second track, "The Economy is Suffering. Let It Die," isn't nearly as reckless, it's just as impassioned, as Justin Sane weighs in on the government bailouts of 2008, asking "Where are all the bailouts for the homeless and the poor?" It's just the sort of question bands like Anti-Flag were born to ask. And there are plenty of those moments on "The People or the Gun." After fulfilling their two-record contract with a major, RCA Records, the band built a studio in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, their hometown, to cut their first release for SideOneDummy. By having their own studio and not having to work on any schedule but their own, they feel they're able to create statements and music that is relevant and timely - on their own terms. As much as Pittsburgh has defined them, though, they've always done their best to take their message to the world at large. Drummer Pat Thetic says "It's become a main priority to put the emphasis of our band and every show we play on community, whether it be canned food drives for local food banks, raising money to build wells in Africa, which we did on our U.S. tour, or clothing drives for the homeless on our Canadian tour." In addition to raising funds for those who need it most, they've created the non-profit organizations Military Free Zone (combating a provision in the No Child Left Behind act that invades students' privacy for Military Recruitment purposes) and Underground Action Alliance (a networking site for social justice). As Chris #2 says, "This is an extension of what our vision of punk rock is, was, and will always be." (SideOneDummy Records)

If you're a ravenous consumer of New York hardcore obscurities like us, then you probably pored over tape trading lists late at night and wondered if Antidote's "Nazi Youth" demo actually existed, or was just a figment of tape traders' imaginations, or was (more realistically) just a bad dub of the 7". Well lo and behold, when we were tasked with re-releasing Antidote's classic "Thou Shalt Not Kill" 7" EP, we asked the band to dig into the vaults for a little something extra to pad things out into a 12", and they came up in spades! In addition to the legendary 8-song EP, you get the band's first 7-song demo recorded in 1982 at Jerry Williams' infamous 171A Studios, plus two songs recorded shortly thereafter for the lost Bad Brains Records compilation, and a previously uncirculated 12-song live set from 1983. The early demos feature original Antidote singer Jeff White (plus future Prong/Danzig axeman Tommy Victor on bass) and show the natural evolution from the band's punky roots to the well-oiled hardcore machine they became on their vinyl debut. The live set features "Thou Shalt Not Kill" howler Louie Rivera and contains several lost tracks that never made it to the studio. That's 29 tracks total of classic New York hardcore, 21 of which have never been heard anywhere before! The LP also includes a 16-page, 12"x12" booklet containing photos, flyers and extensive liner notes by guitarist/founding member Robb "Nunzio" Ortiz, plus a reproduction of the band's original sticker design. • In 1991, APATIA is already a well-recognized band in Poland, regularly playing shows and often appearing in fanzines. Ready to take the next step, they work hard new and phenomenal material that is already presented at their shows. Before the band enters the studio for the first time, new songs appear on the "Live" cassette (also known as "Literature and art in the fight against fascism") and record a demo of 11 songs, which will then be used as promo material only and send to potential publishers - Pietia from QQRYQ and Uszaty from NNNW. This never published and unknown demo of the band is now being released on vinyl exactly 30 years after its recordings. Documents the band just before recording the first album for Nikt Nic Nie Wie. APATIA of the beginning of the 90s it was an absolutely new quality in the local hardcore scene with its own characteristic style and great lyrics. For the next 20 years, we were able to enjoy the work of these guys who created one of the strongest pillars in the history of Hardcore Punk in Poland. Demo 1991 LP comes out with the anthology of the fanzine "Greencore", published in Poznan by members of Apatia - Bulwa and Matol, in the years 1989-1990 (all in Polish!). During this period, four issues were published, which - as the name suggests, combined the subject of HC (interviews, reviews, reports) with ecology and also strongly promoted vegetarianism and took up current socio-political and anti-Nazi topics. The zine published columns and comics. "Greencore" has published interviews with the bands ORANGE WORLD, S.K.T.C., KANADA, STRAWBERRY, A.P.S.F., BLOCKADE, AGENT 86, INDIREKT, AHIMSA, DER PANIK TREIBRIEGEL and ASSASSINS OF GOD. This anthology reflects the spirit of the young DIY scene of that period - enthusiasm and activism on many levels. Graphic design of the album cover and anthology: Jaroslaw Skladanek. Mastering Smok (Studio As One). One-time pressing of 309 copies. (Refuse Records)

  • Sweden’s Hardcore pioneers blast back after 23 years! “Död åt kapitalismen” is their first recording since 1994 and as expected it takes no prisoners… 10 songs of raw and brutal HC combing the traditional Scandinavian approach with a solid d-beat structure. It takes all the best features of their previous works to push them to a new devastating stage… speed, anger, vitriolic vocals and a solid production makes this a total scandicore headsmasher for fans of Anti Cimex, Crude SS, Totallitär, Avskum and so on. Comes in a gatefold sleeve. (F.O.A.D. Records)

In the late '70s, The Avengers established themselves as one of the US's preeminent punk bands. Fusing incisive guitar hooks, explosive rhythms and adolescent venom, the group forged some of the most in-your-face songs of the era. Their live shows were legendary, playing up and down the West Coast and even blowing Sex Pistols off the stage at the latter's final performance. As Byron Coley writes in the liner notes, "Of the best bands of San Francisco's first wave in 1977, The Avengers were by far the coolest and youngest sounding. They roared without irony, as though this were indeed Year Zero (and, for a moment, it was) with history being overwritten by the new. The honesty of their belief was carried by their sound. And it was convincing!" Originally released in 1983, four years after the band's dissolution, The Avengers' self-titled LP is often referred to as "The Pink Album" for its magenta-hued cover design. Frontwoman Penelope Houston's iconic voice and razor-sharp lyrics resonate on anthems "We Are The One" and "The American In Me," while penetrating ballads like "Corpus Christi" reveal a truly out-of-body euphony. The Pink Album remains The Avengers' definitive statement – collecting their classic Dangerhouse EP, sessions recorded with the Pistols' Steve Jones and a half-dozen revelatory demos. While much has been written about The Avengers in the past three decades, rock critic Greil Marcus puts it succinctly, "The word I always come back to is mystical, and that remains almost theirs alone." • AXEGRINDER | satori | LP

    22.00 incl. tax
You can feel it as much as hear it: the sound of crust-punk, scabrous and bleak – a soundtrack for the slow, painful disintegration of society and perhaps even humanity itself. A jolting, icy blast of reality through the world’s shattered windows. The sound of despair turning to defiance. Formed in London in 1986, Axegrinder arrived as the ongoing post-punk melting pot began to conjure ever-heavier new hybrid strains of the hardcore punk and underground metal scenes that were still only a few years old. Following in the groundbreaking footsteps of peers like Amebix and Sacrilege, the band swiftly established themselves as one of the most musically adventurous and hair-raisingly intense bands the UK had to offer. Renowned as an explosive live band, whether playing in a rot-infested squat or venturing into bigger, shinier venues, Axegrinder cemented their burgeoning reputation with their monstrous debut album The Rise Of The Serpent Men. The follow-up to a trio of widely hailed demos, it was released in 1989 via legendary British metal imprint Peaceville Records and was heralded as an underground classic. A brave, belligerent album that aggressively filtered Killing Joke’s pulsing nihilism through a prism of post-thrash grinding power, it was years ahead of its time. Unfortunately, the first chapter of the Axegrinder story came to an abrupt halt not long after the release of ...Serpent Men. After years of hard slog around the squats and pubs of the UK, both guitarist Steve Alton and vocalist Trev found themselves becoming increasingly disillusioned with the scene that they had helped to forge. Newly signed to Rise Above Records, Axegrinder will release Satori into a world that seems every bit as fucked up and bleak as the one they angrily assailed first time round. In reality, the anti-authoritarian message that burned at the heart of the crust-punk scene three decades ago has never lost its relevance or its power. From the crushing, slow-burn assault of Halo (Snakes For The Breeding) to the warped, nihilistic balladry of epic closer Too Far From Home, this is music that screams its righteous fury and creative clout from the rooftops. (Rise Above Records)

  • Axegrinder’s influential Crust Thrash Metal release from 1988 available on vinyl with its original artwork. Rise of the Serpent Men was recorded at Lion Studios in Leeds in 1988 and released the same year. Axegrinder’s strong AMEBIX-like grind sensibility appealed to Punks and Metal-Heads alike, and the band's first and only album Rise of the Serpent Men featured artwork contributions created by Jeff Walker (of UK Metal masters Carcass). The band has gained a strong cult following in countries such as Japan over the years and has lately seen a new period of activity, with a studio album in the offing, along with plans for extensive live work. This 2017 vinyl edition of ‘Rise of the Serpent Men’ marks 30 years of Peaceville and is released as part of the early classics selection to commemorate the occasion. (Peaceville Records)

The beyond legendary, totally immortal, Washington D.C. via NYC Rastafarian hardcore and reggae group Bad Brains released their self-titled debut album in January of 1982 on ROIR and performed some of their very first West Coast gigs later that year. The Old Waldorf, at that point owned by Bill Graham, originally opened in 1976 and was host to some of the Bay's most legendary early punk shows featuring The Avengers, The Dead Boys, The Dead Kennedys, and others. Bad Brains played their patented blend of hardcore punk and dub/roots reggae to a packed and frenzied crowd at The Old Waldorf on October 20th, 1982, a now historical live radio broadcast presented here in stunning sound quality on HQ 140 gram vinyl. Bad Brains is the self-titled debut studio album recorded by American hardcore punk/reggae band Bad Brains. Recorded in 1981 and released on (then) cassette-only label ROIR on February 5, 1982, many fans refer to it as "The Yellow Tape" because of its yellow packaging. Though Bad Brains had recorded the 16 song Black Dots album in 1979 and the 5-song Omega Sessions EP in 1980, the ROIR cassette was the band's first release of anything longer than a single. This reissue marks the second release in the remaster campaign, re-launching the Bad Brains Records label imprint. In coordination with the band, Org Music has overseen the restoration and remastering of the iconic Bad Brains’ recordings. The audio was mastered by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering and pressed at Furnace Record Pressing. (Bad Brains Records ‎/ ORG Music)
  • Bad Religion began in the sprawling suburbs surrounding Los Angeles, with the teenage punks offering an impassioned counterpoint to a culture of consumerism and anti-intellectualism. Founding members Greg Graffin, Brett Gurewitz, and Jay Bentley were eventually joined by guitarists Brian Baker of Minor Threat, Mike Dimkich of The Cult, and drummer Jamie Miller of …And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead. Bad Religion have been highly influential force in modern punk, producing beloved international hits like Infected, 21st Century (Digital Boy), and Sorrow, and building a devoted worldwide following. Bad Religion are set to release their new album Age of Unreason, which can be described as “a musical manifesto on the current political landscape.” In a world still brimming with rampant anti-intellectualism, inequality and oppression, the band’s signature brand of sonically charged humanist dissent seems as relevant as ever. With printed inner sleeve with band info + pics, and large fold-out insert with lyrics. 180gr vinyl. (Epitaph Records)
  • "No Control" is one of the albums that helped bridge Bad Religion's more reckless, earlier direction with their more focused (but just as pissed-off) '90s-era with the strength of such cuts as "Big Bang," "Automatic Man," the title track and "I Want To Conquer The World." "No Control" is one of the band's best all-time albums and an archetypal blueprint for the genre. Bad Religion has been setting the standard for years; this album is yet another stone in the band's long road to identity and style. (Epitaph Records/2004)

  • Bad Religion has become synonymous with intelligent and provocative West Coast punk rock and are considered one of the most influential and important bands in the genre. Over the past three decades the band has continually pushed social boundaries and questioned authority and beliefs armed only with propulsive guitars, charging drumbeats, thoughtful lyrics and an undying will to inspire and provoke anyone who will listen. The Gray Race is the ninth full-length album by Bad Religion, which was originally released in 1996. It was the follow-up to the band's highly successful 1994 album Stranger Than Fiction. (Epitaph Records)
  • Punk rock Pioneers Bad Religion have released their sixteenth studio album on Epitaph Records. The new album, already a favorite among fans, has been greeted with worldwide critical acclaim and praise. Produced by the band and Joe Barresi, True North celebrates the power of cogent punk in the face of personal pain and adversity. On the new album, the storied band deliberately revisits and refines the powerful and melodic Southern California sound they helped to define. “We went back to our original mission statement of short concise bursts of melody and message,” co-songwriter and guitarist Brett Gurewitz explains. “The intent was to record stripped down punk songs without sacrificing any conceptual density. • Sometimes being a Washington DC insider means access to political movers and shakers--sometimes, as in the case of photographer Cynthia Connolly, it means access to a great collection of photographs from the glory days of DC hardcore punk. Taken both by Connolly and an assortment of punk enthusiasts, BANNED IN DC is a set of vibrant shots that portray the anarchic spirit, pure energy, and camaraderie of the DC scene in a series of 450 black and white photographs. Major figures in the hardcore movement, like Dischord Records co-owner and then-Minor Threat member Ian MacKaye and Bad Brains vocalist HR, share space with naked musicians, ubiquitous scenesters, shaven-headed audience members, and riotous punks, in a freewheeling combination of pictures and quotes. Vividly capturing the scene's idealistic intensity, BANNED IN DC is an invaluable document of Washington hardcore's exuberance and aspirations.

    BANNLYST | diskografi | LP

    16.00 incl. tax
After various horrible bootlegs, here is the official version: The “Diskografi” LP has their songs from the split tape with ANGOR WAT (Knall Tapes, 1984), their 7″ songs (1985), “Terrorstyre” (from the “Nå Eller Aldri” 7″ compilation) and “Louie Louie” from an early demo tape recording. A total of 24 songs in 44 minutes with some of the best 1980s hardcore punk that ever came out of Europe. Some folks say that their EP from the heyday of the mighty X-PORT PLATER label is the best Norwegian punk record ever. Everything on this LP has been carefully remastered from the original cassette tapes and vinyl as all master tapes were lost back in the 80s. (Norwegian Leather Records)
  • Un Último Ultrasonido Nació Y Murió En Barcelona is Barcelona’s sophomore 12” of pure sonic nihilism. A band of highs and lows. High concept as performance and low brow as execution. In my eyes Barcelona is simply a genius project, capable of create their own universe and vomit all over it. Their formula of distortion to the max, total free-ness and improvisation with regurgitated bass lines and repetitive primitive beats topped with the sharpest and nastiest lyrics as observation of our own futility and misery. In their own universe you can find Hermann Nitsch, or the entire catalogue of ESP Disks hanging out with Manolo Kabezabolo and Eskorbuto. Probably without them being aware of it. All of the above is what you’ll find in the 13 songs on this disturbing record wrapped around again in artwork but the last artist on earth Oriol Roca. (La Vida Es Un Mus Records)
  • The split kicks off with the very strange yet incredibly interesting Bastard Noise side of things, whose music is basically a mishmash of powerviolence, noisecore, ambient and electronic music. It’s definitely unique as far as most bands go and this split incorporates all of the above in 4 tracks of brutal noise. It’s mid paced and has a lot of tempo changes and different music elements and it’s not what you’d expect, which is never a bad thing. I full enjoyed this side of the split. Moving on to the B-side of the split, Lack of Interest has always tickled my fancy with their fast, filthy and crushing music with a classic feel. It’s all or nothing with these guys and it blasts you to fuck from the word go. It’s most definitely powerviolence done right and it fucking rips into you without any remorse. The songs have a strong misanthropic theme, which tie into drugs and inner-city issues, much like Despise You. It rips to shit and has that old school hardcore sound to it, which definitely reminds me of years past. I would highly recommend this split to fans of Despise You, Man is the Bastard, Infest, Neanderthal, Siege and Spazz. (Deep Six Records)

  • Cleveland power-pop punk trio Beatnik Termites was another group of Ramones fanatics that merged a heavy Ramones influence with a love of surf rock; their caustic pop melodies and ironic, stinging lyrics turning the soft underbelly of pop music on its head, yielding a sound that had tinges of innocence, beneath a knowing, thrash-rock wink. Front man Pat Kim (AKA Pat Termite) started the band back in 1987 with drummer Reggie Silvestri and bassist Brian McCafferty, the group was reputedly a favourite of Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain according to his diaries. Includes coupon for an MP3 download of the album. Big Black was started by Steve Albini in 1982 while he was attending Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Lungs, the first Big Black release was recorded by Steve on a borrowed 4-track. He played everything on the EP himself - except the sax bleating courtesy of pal John Bohnen and the drums courtesy of Roland. Soon after, Steve recruited Jeff Pezzati (Naked Raygun) on bass, and Santiago Durango (also Naked Raygun) joined them on guitar. In 1983, together with live drummer Pat Byrne, they recorded the Bulldozer EP. By 1984, the band had done some touring and recorded the Racer X EP and the start of the Il Duce 7”. After that, Jeff returned to Naked Raygun and was replaced by Dave Riley. In 1985, Big Black recorded their first full-length, Atomizer, as well as finishing the Il Duce 7”. Atomizer was released in 1986 along with the release of the Hammer Party compilation CD. In 1987, the Headache EP and Heartbeat 7” were released. That same year, the band recorded and released the 7” of The Model/He’s A Whore as well as their second full-length album, Songs About Fucking. They toured extensively (for Big Black). And they broke up. (Touch And Go Records)

  • Biohazard released their third studio album State of the World Address in 1994. Their breakout from the underground into mainstream culture yielded an album where their musical style hasn't changed that much from the predecessors. Right from the streets of Brooklyn it contains some heavy stuff, but melodies also playing an important role in the music. The high class production and the anger the band members expressing in the songs shows the versatility of the group. Billy and Evan seamlessly trade lines, resulting in some sweet call/release choruses. The lyrics, the riffs, the changes, the dimensions are flawless and showing a band at the top of their possibilities. 180 gram audiophile vinyl Including insert (Music On Vinyl)

A pure shot of abrasive punk/rock 'n' roll with a hint of working class Oi!, Blitz were among the most influential punk bands ever. It was Gary Bushell (who wrote for "Sounds" and was later dubbed the God Father of Oi!) who brought the band to the attention of his friend Chris Berry, who had just set up No Future records with a bank loan and high hopes. No Future 001 catalog (and Blitz's debut release) was a 4 track EP titled "All Out Attack", a 20,000 copy bestseller that made the label's fortune, later to become the most representative of the whole UK82 movement. Its follow-up, "Never Surrender", reached number 2 in the Indie charts, while their 3rd EP, "Warriors", showed their slight move towards the singalong-style of classic OI!. Before shifting to a more new wave-influenced vein right by the end of 1983, they managed to reach number 2 in the charts with a fourth and last 'punk' single, "New Age". This 1980-1983 complete retrospective features all four aforementioned singles along with their very first recording session from 1980, the legendary 'Timebomb' demos, and 4 cuts from the "Voice Of A Generation" demos!  (Radiation Records)
  • Reissue for John Joseph’s own all-star group 2017 debut album FEATURING: John Joseph (Cro-Mags) Todd Youth (ex Danzig/Murphy’s Law) Nick Oliveri (ex-Queens Of The Stone Age/The Dwarves) Joey Castillo (ex-Queens Of The Stone Age/Danzig) WHITE VINYL EDITION - LIMITED TO 500 COPIES ONLY WITH DOUBLE SIDED INSERT At it's purest, there is little that can match the visceral thrill and empowering spirit of hardcore. As frontman of New York City hardcore kings Cro-Mags, this is something John Joseph knows very well, and with Up In Arms, he and his Bloodclot compatriots deliver a furious collection that hits hard on every level. "In this band we're doing what each of us have always done: give it our all," he states plainly. The results reflect the roots and passions of the individual members. Danzig/Murphy's Law guitarist Todd Youth was the first piece of the puzzle. Having been friends with Queens Of The Stone Age and Danzig powerhouse drummer Joey Castillo for three decades, he and Joseph had long admired each other's work, and their collaboration has been a long time coming. Following Castillo's suggestion of bringing in Nick Oliveri (Queens Of The Stone Age, The Dwarves) to handle bass duties, the lineup was complete. Every track on Up In Arms lives up to the rallying cry of the album's title - the bursts of high energy hardcore act as the perfect accompaniment to Joseph setting his sights on injustice and the seemingly endless flaws of the contemporary world. The breakneck thrashing of "Slow Kill Genocide" is an anthem for everyone sickened by those responsible for "killing the planet and all it's inhabitants through industry and war. They're f***ing maniacs and must be stopped." The suitably titled "Manic" attacks with bared fangs, Joseph making it clear that you can only push someone so far before they will react with violence - a call to arms for the disenfranchised who want tomorrow's world to be better than today's. Tracked at NRG in Los Angeles, the raw, old-school production that leaps out from the speaker comes courtesy of producer Zeuss (Hatebreed, Revocation), and the record was mixed by Kyle McAulay at NRG. From the moment the opening title track explodes to life, it's clear that everyone involved is having a blast and playing from the heart, and that this is no frills / no bullshit music at it's most passionate - every song evoking mental images of utter chaos in a heaving mosh pit. For anyone approaching the album for the first time, Joseph has only this to say: "Turn the volume way the fuck up!" And with plans to tour everywhere, Bloodclot will be getting in a lot of faces in 2017 and beyond. "We are already writing material and the next album is in the works. But, for now, all we want is to hit the stage to support 'Up in Arms', and every single night leave every ounce of ourselves up there." (Radiation Records)
