• The longest output and the heaviest best material by Canada's NAPALM RAID. Originally hailing from Halifax, Nova Scotia, the band is now spread out across the country. Balancing more influences than ever before, Rust and Machine is proud to have been working with this band since their beginning, and I am happy to say this is their strongest release, showing progression in style. Over time Napalm Raid has become the premier crust band of Canada, with multiple tours over the years taking them all over the world including Europe, Canada, USA, Mexico, Colombia and Brazil. Ending track is a revisit to their live hit "Dead Cities" which originally appeared on their debut 7" "Corruption of their little minds" (Phobia Records)
  • This is pure old school Grindcore and you can’t get closer to TERRORIZER‘s legendary album “World downfall“, in fact a third of the songs of Terrorizer’s “World downfall” were actually NAUSEA material, the previous band of vocalist Oscar Garcia. Born from the ashes of MAJESTY, they were not a side project of Terrorizer (as many think incorrectly), but a definite band, even surviving the latter’s break up in 1988. Oscar Garcia even used some Nausea songs to complete the posthumous Terrorizer record (‘Corporation Pull-in’, ‘Need to Live’, ‘Condemned System’ and the title track ‘World Downfall’ that was in origin a Majesty song)! On this new CD edition you will find the songs featured on the LP one, so the band’s classic “Psychological conflict” EP (1990), the obscure and under-rated “Tumor” Demo (1992) and the entire split Demo with TERRORIZER (1988) bootlegged on vinyl by Headache Rec in the early 90s, plus six raw yet powerful sounding tunes from three different rehearsal recordings straight from 1987. These bonus tracks are exclusive for this digipack CD repress and will square the circle of the story of a band the helped to define a full genre! This is raw, doomy and corrosive death metal tinged GRIND with whirlwind blast beats and those incredible moshing riffs that became so influential when World Downfall gained its deserved success! (F.O.A.D. Records)
  • This LP compiles the first two 7"s from Bay Area, CA hardcore punk juggernaut Needles, fronted by Martin of Limp Wrist and Los Crudos and with bass duties covered by Brian Stern of Dead And Gone, Look Back And Laugh, and Talk Is Poison among other area luminaries. Now remastered by John Golden, the legendary 7" is once again available for past, present and future hardcore fans. (Touch & Go Records)

Official reissue this Canadian hardcore classic, originally released in 1986. Negative Gain was founded in Toronto, Ontario by Peter Warner who wrote all of the lyrics and provided rehearsal space in his basement. Filling out the lineup was Grant C. Slavin on guitar, Steve Currie on bass, and Andrew Mosely on drums. All members were in their mid-teens at the time. Their influences included Minor Threat, Millions of Dead Cops, the Misfits, and the Dead Kennedys, as well as local TO bands Direct Action and Sudden Impact. Negative Gain got their first break in '83 when we were asked by local Toronto promoter Jill Heath to open for Jodie Fosters Army at the city's legendary punk club The Turning Point. After the show Pete and Grant went skateboarding with JFA. The evening was documented in a subsequent issue of Thrasher as JFA's guitarist Don Pendelton was writing a column for the rag documenting their tour. Other memorable Negative Gain gigs around this time include warming up for bands like the Circle Jerks, Gang Green, the Descendents and 7 Seconds. The young thrash band soon went from listening to their favorite bands' records on a daily basis to hanging out with them backstage and stealing their beer rider! More help from Jill Heath came when the promoter sent Negative Gain's 1985 demo tape, Attack of the Killer Bears, to Pushead for review. Pushead evidently like the tape so much that he offered to release a full-length LP for the band. Negative Gain recorded their album in Oakville, Ontario in about five hours on a Saturday afternoon, as studio time was limited to what the young band could afford to spend on the recording. The session was produced by Brian Taylor of the Toronto band Youth Youth Youth. Sadly, Pete Warner committed suicide not too long after the recording was completed, and never lived to see its release. His last gig with the band was with Toronto's Bunchofuckingoofs. Negative Gain continued on as a three-piece for about two more years, before splitting in the late 1980s. The record comes with fold out inlay with photos and lyric sheet and extra poster of first and last side of the record. (Rest In Punk Records)

(Italy), and now by Contempo. Rightly considered one of the absolute masterpieces of European hc/punk, 'Lo Spirito Continua...' is now completely remastered from the original tapes by famous sound engineer Ale Sportelli, longtime collaborator of the band in the early days. An essential hc masterpiece! (Contempo Records)

  • *LIMITED EDITION INCLUDES 60 X 40CM POSTER AND HYPE STICKER! As suggested by the name of the group, Newtown Neurotics was a product of suburban Britain. Formed in 1979 in the anonymous town of Harlow in Essex (which had been established as a planned city to house displaced families in the aftermath of World War II), lead singer, guitarist and songwriter Steve Drewett took an openly socialist stance within the band, steering their music in a bid for stimulating social change, much in the manner of Joe Strummer in The Clash or punk troubadour, Billy Bragg; The Ramones also provided early musical inspiration, along with the deep and heavy sounds of roots reggae from Jamaica. Along with bassist and backing vocalist Colin Dredd (AKA Colin Masters), demos and early singles featured drummer Tig Barber, who was replaced by Simon O’Brien (AKA Simon Lomond) in 1981. The cassette release Pissed As A Newt surfaced in small quantities, but their proper debut album arrived in 1983 in the form of Beggars Can Be Choosers, a masterwork of political punk with pop and reggae leanings; in addition to spurring their listeners to wake up and take direct action on the disc, the album also addresses teen angst, messy relationships and the caustic nature of boredom and apathy, as well as gender inequality and racial tensions. Closing number, “Living With Unemployment” was co-written by JM Carroll and Nicky Tesco of The Members. (Radiation Records)
  • Cassette Happy youth was released on September, 1984, for Ljubljana’s alternative publisher ŠKUC in number of 200 copies. Even for small Slovenia this was extremely modest number, but those were different times. It was possible to feel strong thaw in last decade of communism in Yugoslavia, but the leading state publishing houses still looked upon non-conformist, especially socially critical music, with big distrust. If I look back, they made us big favour with that. This scanty cassette, consisting all, by then recorded songs and some, directly from radio dubbed concert recordings, became most dubbed cassette in history of Slovenia. With it (by adding new recordings) cult status of Niet, which flared up in 90’s and is still going strong, was spreading… Igor Dernovšek (2015) Gatefold sleeve, printed inner and 24-page booklet "Izobčeni" (Outcasted) with interview, review, lyrics in Slovenian/English, lot of rare photos… All songs are remastered! • Nearly two years after the release of their debut LP The Other Side of Darkness, Grave Mistake Records (US) and Taken By Surprise Records (Europe) will deliver Night Birds' second full-length, Born to Die in Suburbia on July 9th! 14 tracks of scintillating hardcore punk - refashioning the dark overtones and surfy inflections of early '80s Cali punk for a modern world on the very verge of a nervous breakdown. Recorded over the better part of the Winter of 2013 with Mitch Rackin at Seaside Lounge (Ted Leo & The Pharmacists, The Obits) in Brooklyn, NY, Night Birds have created a record that is distinctly more "Night Birds" than ever. Featuring guest vocals from Eric Davidson (New Bomb Turks, The Livids) and Miranda Taylor (Hunchback, Black Wine), Born to Die in Suburbia is rife with the band's signature tales of dysfunction, despair and lamentations of a culture in rapid decline. • One of the all-time greats of the power-violence genre! Blasting through 11 lightening-fast tracks in no time at all, and building upon the rage and brutality unleashed by Neanderthal and Infest with an additional Califonian/D.R.I. velocity. • Being unavailable for over a year, No Turning Back's second album is finally available again. Completely remastered. No Turning Back have created a devastatingly crushing album with “Damage Done” and a production to do them justice, thanks to the skills of Tue Madsen (Born From Pain, Mnemic, Knuckledust) at the Antfarm Studios in Denmark. Unashamedly New York Hardcore in its delivery, “Damage Done” is going to be the album which catapults No Turning Back to a higher level with it’s bone crushing breakdowns, grooving fast parts and remorseless vocals!(Anger Management Records )
  • Starting in 1997, No Turning Back have been steadily building an impressive career – touring worldwide and becoming a household name in hardcore music. Now Nomeansno fans the world over finally have the chance to enjoy the album in its full gatefold glory. The tenth album from Nomeansno was, and still is, a groundbreaking exploration of social and political lyrical statements and post-punk musical workouts. Back in the day, confused people liked to call this “jazz-punk” or “jazzcore” because it involved more than three chords and shock! horror! time changes! and OMG! slow parts! Gatefold, 180gr vinyl. • Jubilation) is an EP from Vancouver punk rock band Nomeansno. Limited grey vinyl LP pressing of this EP from the Punk veterans including digital download. Featuring the unique combination of guitars, drums, bass and singing, this highly sought after prize flew off the merch table shelves in the years 2010 and 2011. • NoMeansNo are a bass-led 3-piece from Canada. Forming in 1979 with brothers Rob (bass and vocals) and John Wright (drums, keyboards and vocals) they made their first recordings in their parents' basement. Musically their influences originated from jazz and prog-rock as much as from punk - which their music is often labeled. Small Parts Isolated And Destroyed was their third full-length first released in 1988 compiled together with the EP The Day Everything Became Nothing, aptly titled The Day Everything Became Isolated And Destroyed. These recordings show NMN at the height of their creativity and their early obsession with social order in its many strands. Albums in heavy printed inner sleeves with lyrics and artwork. NUNS | cbs demos 1977 | LP

    16.00 incl. tax
Together with Crime, the Nuns predated and singlehandedly helped to shape the Punk scene in San Francisco in 1976. Their demos from 1977 seemed to be lost in the mists of time forever, but now here they are, all of them unreleased. An ESSENTIAL piece in the history of vintage American Punk!!! Lost demo recordings of a very underrated band. This is raw early US Punk Rock at its best with a huge Iggy/Stooges edge aided by the wild and abrasive piano that honky tonks all along the way. Sound quality is excellent, without any overdubs or studio gimmicks. A great example of San Francisco 1976 early 1977 Punk Rock, next to CRIME and Mary Monday. Too bad, the record industry was not interested. The 1980 Posh Boy album shares a lot of songs but sounds much tamer than this. (Mabuhay Records)

OBSESSIO | same title | LP

    17.00 incl. tax
OBSESSIÓ’s debut is a blast of crude hardcore. Formed during the extremely dark times of August of 2018 and based between Athens and Barcelona the band first statement is an 8 track 12” at 45 rpm which knocks you down with the first chord. Kindly indebted to the living legacy of TOTALITÄR, CRUDITY and other Nordic Beat greats while keeping an unmistakably modern swagger. Breakneck pace and musical manufacture care of three Greeks who have set the stage for Angela’s no doubt bleak summary of the world, whose distinctively intimidating and minimal powerhouse voice crashes across OBSESSIÓ’s music. No songs over 2 minutes, no frills or tricks, no contemplative pondering on delicate matters, and most of all no fucking melody. Recorded, mixed and mastered at Ignite Music Studios in Athens. Sleeve designed by the greatest Teodoro Hernández who effortlessly captures the bleakness and rage contained in this PUNK 45 RPM 12”. Includes digital pre-order of Obsessió MLP. You get 2 tracks now (streaming via the free Bandcamp app and also available as a high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more), plus the complete album the moment it’s released. https://lavidaesunmus.bandcamp.com/album/obsessi-mlp

OFF! | wasted years | LP

    22.00 incl. tax
Over the past four years, OFF! have proven to be more than just a band. They also raise a series of challenging questions. After four decades of heavy use, does punk rock still have any life left in it? Do Keith Morris and his gang of grown-ass punk heroes still have the goods?
They’ve answered their own questions with a resounding yes through a packed itinerary of shows and a handful of recordings that are among the rawest musical experiences of the new decade. Combining reckless improvisational energy with the combined skills of four deadly sharp musicians, OFF! have dug down through a decades’ worth of accumulated stylistic garbage, and rediscovered the stripped down core of noise, speed, and rock & roll that punk seemed to have lost forever.
Their third full-length studio recording, Wasted Years, is the most direct and in-your-face embodiment of OFF!’s mission yet. Recorded in their practice space, live to 8-track 1/2″ tape - with the barest minimum of rehearsal beforehand and enough mic bleed to make punching in over rough spots afterward an impossibility - the album captures the group (Morris, guitarist Dimitri Coats, bassist Steven McDonald, and drummer Mario Rubalcaba) in the spontaneous act of bringing its 16 songs to frenzied life.
Listening to it is like jumping into the middle of one of the most chaotic and electrifying creative musical environments on Earth, where Cuban rhythms and Sabbath riffs collide with the energy of a California circle pit. Searingly loud, frantically paced, and best taken in a single 23-minute dose, Wasted Years is a sonic cinder block, a clenched fist raised in the face of rock & roll refinement. If you had any questions about the state of punk in 2014, this is your answer. (Vice Records)
