  • In 1981 three lads in Pavenham, Bedfordshire aged 14 to 17 decide to form a punk band. They soon discover Crass and the burgeoning anarchy-punk movement and this influences them both politically and musically. In 1982 they record seven tracks and release it as a cassette titled Another Disaster and later that year another five tracks are recorded with two of the tracks appearing on the highly successful 1983 Pax compilation Bollox to the Gonads Here's the Testicles alongside Flux of Pink Indians, Dead Kennedys etc. The same demo tape gets them two tracks on each of two American compilation albums: Compulsory Overtime (Diesen Records) and Empty Skulls Vol. 2 (Fartblossom Records) by now interest in the band is snowballing and they record six more songs that appear on Colin Jerwood’s (conflict / mortarhate) new label Fight Back as the undesirable guest 12”. The record was a huge success and Colin asked them to record a song for the compilation: We don’t want your fucking war. Their track sea of desecration became probably their best known song. In spring 1985 the band recorded an album. unfortunately they had no way of paying for it. After discussions with red rhino and the cartel who suggested the band set up their own label -- which they promised to bankroll -- prison of life was released on Trash records in Autumn 1985. This early part of their career is all chronicled on this compilation. 26 tracks from the early part of this 80s anarcho punk band’s career. Includes their ‘Prison of Life’ album, their first demo tape, compilation appearances and 7 unreleased studio recordings. (Overground Records)
  • Having formed only about 2 years ago, LION'S LAW have quickly established themselves as one of the elite modern skinhead streetpunk bands alongside BOOZE & GLORY, EVIL CONDUCT, BISHOPS GREEN and THE TEMPLARS. From their debut show in a squat in Paris in the summer of 2012, LION’S LAW are now consistently playing to (and even headlining) full rooms all over Europe! Formed by members of the popular French band MARABOOTS, LION’S LAW took a direction equally as influenced by classic UK Oi! bands like LAST RESORT as much as classic French bands like WARRIOR KIDS and CAMERA SILENS. This fusion creates a unique sound that has met with success not only across Europe, but also here in the US and elsewhere.
  • If there is any album for any band that should be released on as many labels as possible, it’s this one. And this band. Lion's Law have for years made themselves part of the scene, in scenes across the globe. To say they are part of the fabric of punk rock would be putting truth to fact. This new album perfectly illustrates the powerhouse that they have become, and the way that they are reaching out beyond their traditional skinhead/Oi! comfort zone to include a much wider and diverse audience. What they’ve managed to do is opening eyes and ears across the world, and doing so without isolating the swarms of fans, labels and supporters who have elevated them to where they are now. The songs are nothing short of brilliant, and fitting for the momentum and pent up energy percolating in this camp! On the back of this record, these fearless Frenchmen will see the world in a new light, playing to bigger crowds and making new fans wherever they go! These guys are the life of the party, and on stage, truly a force to be reckoned with. Pick up “The Pain, The Blood, and The Sword” now and hear it for yourself - this is the real deal! (Pirate Press Records)

LP 1 Tracks 1-14 : Kill Ugly Pop LP LP 2 Tracks 1-4 : Lonely Rock Tracks 5-9 : Nightrider Tracks 10-11 : Hardcore Lawful Assembly Tracks 12-18 : Kill The IBM Tracks 19-20 : The Punx Tape Tracks 21-23 : Farewell To Arms Tracks 24-28 : Thrash Till Death (Back In Anger Records/Unofficial Release)
  • Lip Cream alongside Gauze stand out as one of the classic early Japanese punk bands that incorporated a lot of hardcore and thrash influence into their powerful music. Lip Cream later went on to release a number of highly successful albums and instead of sticking to the more boppy punk sound they originally produced headed towards flat out heavy thrash that too is worthy of merit. This LP contains all of Lip Creams recorded output from 1984 - 1985.
Tracks A1 to A4 were previously released as the "Lonely rock" 7" on Hold-Up Records in 1984. Tracks A5 to A9 were previously released as the "Nightrider More Than Fight" 7" on AA Records in 1984.
Tracks A10 and B1 were previously released on the "Hardcore Unlawful Assembly" Compilation LP on AA records in 1984.
Tracks B2 to B9 are from the "Kill The I.B.M." studio sessions from 1985.
Tracks B10 and B11 were previously released on "The Punx" Compilation in 1985.

  • Hailing from the coastal town Brest in the far north-western corner of France LITOVSK deliver a fulminant and outstanding 2nd album. Dark and gloomy Postpunk/Wave. Rumbling and driving basslines, straight drumming topped by partly wavey guitar riffs: simple, clean and honest while retaining a good portion of frenetic power and energy. Think of THE ESTRANGED, NEW FLESH or RED DONGS. A Band  to reckon with: LITOVSK is defintely one of the best Postpunk coming from Europe these days. On this records they manage to give an extra vibe to the last wave and created eleven hymns to dance and sing along with. (Symphony Of Destruction Records)

Finally a European version of the long overdue LOS CRUDOS Discography collection. LOS CRUDOS, formed in Chicago's Pilsen neighbourhood in the early 90's, are a Latino punk band with a strong socio-political message and an extremely militant DIY attitude. During their first incarnation, spanning the years 1991 to 1998 the band self-released their own records, printed their own merch, booked their own shows and toured relentlessly around the world. From South America to Japan including a 3 month European tour in the winter of 1996. They spoke to the freaks the outsiders and the minorities and were not afraid of confronting the white middle class punk who reigned supreme during the terrible 90's. A time which will not be remembered for their hardcore output except for a few exceptions, in which CRUDOS are surely included. Their sound, far from being a copycat of whatever flavour of the month was reigning at the time was heavy rooted in the golden years of European and Latino American ferocious hardcore punk. With bands as IMPACT, WRETCHED, OLHO SECO, TERVEET KADET or MASACRE 68 as obvious influences in a time when the simple mention of any of those bands (or any non English speaking bands really) was usually met with a laugh or a joke. They sang in Spanish, with aggression and conviction and that made their message spread out widely, reaching thousands of Spanish speaking punks both in Latino America and Spain as well as inside USA where third generation Latino kids surely were missing a voice within the punk scene. The band split up in 1998 after a really intense year of touring and reformed in 2008. The band will be undertaking their first ever Scandinavian tour in July/ Agust 2016. This collection, originally released as a benefit for MRR magazine last year, includes all the LOS CRUDOS output plus compilation tracks as well as a couple demo tracks and an unreleased song. The European version comes in a gatefold sleeve and brings a 40 page booklet with flyers and the lyrics of all songs. • The second album from 1985 by Argentina's LOS VIOLADORES is a classic of Clash styled big guitar rifts, melodic underpinnings and a hard rock edge. It's been out of print for 35 years and includes their near- mainstream crossover hit "Uno, Dos, Ultraviolento"! Limited edition, numbered and comes with a poster. It's faithful to the original Umbral press and it a classic of South American Punk! (Pinhead Records)
  • ‘Millions of Dead Cops’ is the first iconic , full length; classic must have record by M.D.C. This was first released in 1981 and quickly became an overnight sensation. Not only did M.D.C. deliver a record full of fast intense music , but this record would influence 1000’s of hardcore/punk and bands of political nature to this day. The corruption of cops! Greed of corporations! Racism! The fact that not all people were the same , but so what that’s OK! Are all addressed in this groundbreaking LP. Many of these issues were quit taboo at the time and had not been addressed to this degree in punk before. Round it all off with this being fully restored and re mastered with the original mix. You have a definite must have album! (Beer City Records)
  • Left in the can for more than 30 years, this punk-rock time capsule has been exhumed by the punk-eologists at Hostage Records. This is not some cheap ass 12th generation copy of a boombox recording from a garage, Hoping for a possible Posh Boy Records release in 1982, MAD PARADE recorded a cache of anthems in the summers of 82-83 only to see them go unreleased as the punk scene turned metal. This amazing collection was remastered and features pre-debut versions of some tracks - 12 songs of period-correct 1982 punk, limited to 550 copies. (Hostage Records)

  • Sophomore solo album from Manu Chao, the former leader of French Alt rockers Mano Negra. Though Mano Negra experienced some success while together, Manu Chao's solo career has earned him an international audience of music lovers and critics. Originally released in 2001, Chao extends his musical reach and adds a heavier Caribbean flavor than his debut album, Clandestino. 17 tracks including 'Merry Blues', 'Eldorado 1997', 'Me Gustas Tu' and more. Because (Because Music/Radio Bemba/2013)
  • 2018 repress. Originally released in 1998. Gatefold double LP with a CD copy of the album. "The first solo album released by the former frontman of Mano Negra, Clandestino is an enchanting trip through Latin-flavored worldbeat rock, reliant on a potpourri of musical styles from traditional Latin and salsa to dub to rock 'n' roll to French pop to experimental rock to techno... Just about every track has odd sampled bits from what sound like pirate radio-station broadcasts (a possible link to the title). There are so many great ideas on this record that it's difficult to digest in one listen, but multiple plays reveal the great depth of Manu Chao's artistry." (Because Music/Radio Bemba)
  • Marky Ramone and the Intruders was an American punk rock band formed by drummer Marky Ramone after the retirement of the Ramones. The band is similar in sound to the Ramones but with a more powerful bass. The band released only two albums in its short existence. Todd Youth of Murphy's Law was the front man for a short time. (Pinhead Records)
  • MARTHE is the solo project of Marzia, worldwide known for being Horror Vacui's guitar player and for drumming in Kontatto, Tuono, Campus Sterminii, Death From Above, Doxie and countless other bands. Between one practice and another with the aforementioned bands, she found the time to sit down by herself and record the tunes that became the "Sisters Of Darkness" demo tape, self-released a year ago and then repressed on tape by Caligari Records (USA). I'm personally not too much into metal, but the four songs on this demo blew my minds and I think they deserve to be released on vinyl too. Fans of Bathory's second wave will love this one so much that Marzia will be crowned as the Queen of Valkyrian Metal. Everything on this record has been written, performed and mixed by Marzia. Mastered by Jack Control at Enormous Door . Limited to 300 hand numbered copies on Ivory White Colored Vinyl, the first 100 will come with a nice embroidered patch. (Agipunk Records)

Impressively packed in an epic and monumental artwork by Elzo Durt, “Bellatrix Boadicea” is a tumult of impressions, sensations and acts. The name “Bellatrix Boadicea” itself brings its share of mystery and it may sounds unfamiliar to some of us. This MARY BELL new full length gets its title from Boudica, the queen of a celtic tribe who led an uprising against the conquering forces of the roman empire in AD 60. Another form of sedition comes from the fourteen songs of this album, proceeding from haunted and noisy claims to frenetic punk jolts, from frenzy to introspection. The band is back where they left with “Histrion”, their critically acclaimed previous effort. A record which has managed to convince fans of punk, hardcore and garage and we bet that “Bellatrix Boadicea” will seduce an even larger audience with richer songs and atmospheres. The incisive words of the lyrics deal with what the band describe as their favorite subjects : “revenge, hate, shitty relationships, the circle of life and cats”. The record will come in three color versions ; the one up to preorder is a nice “smokey bone” limited version. (Destructure Records)

One of the earliest MC5 singles. Side B is an earlier version of "Borderline," different than the version on Kick Out The Jams. Includes brand spankin' new liners by David Fricke of Rolling Stone, who says, "In a 1966 live recording, the MC5 played 'Looking at You' like Motown raga. At United Sound, the band hit the zigzag riff at light speed and stayed there, framed by searing lead guitar and explosive drumming. 'Borderline' was a frantic jigsaw of power-chord jolts and sheet-like harmonies detonated again, at the Grande, for the live recording of the MC5's first LP, Kick Out the Jams." (Modern Harmonic)

MELVINS | hold it in | LP

    18.50 incl. tax
Continuing their ongoing string of lineup experiments, Melvins stalwarts Dale Crover and King Buzzo team up with Butthole Surfers' Paul Leary and J.D. Pinkus on Hold It In. With such a distinct sound, the band's various personnel changes often feel somewhat superfluous, offering a variation on their usual sound without altering things too far from the kind of sludgy goodness listeners have come to know and love. With the addition of Pinkus and Leary, however, it feels as though a very fundamental shift has occurred, taking the band's sound in some very different, and interesting, new directions. Although the album's opener, "Bride of Crankenstein," feels like classic Melvins with its constant assault of crunchy riffs and grimy production, Hold It In enjoys a radical change in tone on "You Can Make Me Wait," a laid-back rocker with a groovy, slacker vibe that leaves it feeling more like Ween than the Melvins. Meanwhile, "Eyes on You" finds the band doing a freaked-out impression of a straight-ahead blues-rock number, pairing a rowdy, stomping beat (with handclaps and all) with oddly paranoid vocals. Those songs were penned by Leary, and the decision to hand the control to someone else is a bold one on Crover and Buzzo's part. Though the album contains plenty of odd twists and turns, there's enough of the old Melvins to keep things from straying too far from home, offering more than a few comforting oases for listeners to refresh themselves before they head out to explore some of Hold It In's weirder moments, making for a mix of the strange and the familiar that feels like classic Melvins without necessarily sounding like the bandmembers are borrowing ideas from themselves. (Ipecac Recordings)
  • Complete discography of these grim and aggressive Japanese Death Metal lunatics! Formed in Tokyo in 1987 on the ashes of Criminal Christ, MESSIAH DEATH stand among the earliest acts to raise the unholy flag of Death Metal in their country along with a handful of bands such as Crucifixion, Beleth, Vexation… considering that Necrophile and Transgressor started a bit later. Their style was originally inspired by classics like Possessed, Death, Slayer but gradually escalated to a much rawer and aggressive Death-thrashing onslaught with echoes of bands like Massacre (US), Morbid Angel, Nihilist combined to influences from the South American school of Mutilator, early Sepultura, Vulcano and so on. This double LP includes the band’s most complete discography to date, with even more tracks than the now hard to find CD collection released in 2013. Contents: – “Gore of the crucifix” Demo (1987) – “Immortal kingdom” Demo (1988) – “Invocated unholy souls” Demo (1989) – “Live at Explosion Rock House, Tokyo” (1988) – BONUS out takes and unreleased versions.
