  • 'Type Foundry Session I' is an LP collection of The Estranged's first recording sessions at Type Foundry Studios in Portland, OR, totalling eight songs, all released as 7" tracks, most of which are now out of print. This record showcases the band's distinct style of omnimous, dark punk at their most raw and urgent, mixing The Cure, Wire, Joy Division and Christian Death and giving the end result a modern feel. While organizing the Dischord archive, they came across the 4-track of VOID's 1st recording session. This was done at Hit And Run Studios in 1981 and never officially released. The master tape was nowhere to be found so the tape was remixed by Ian MacKaye and Don Zientara at Inner Ear in 2011. This release features that entire session plus their 1st Inner Ear demo including the "flex your head" cuts and song that ended up on the "condensed flesh" 7", 2 outtakes from their 2nd Inner Ear session and a couple of live recordings. Vinyl includes a digital download card. (Dischord Records) https://voidofficial.bandcamp.com/album/sessions-1981-83

Subhumans are one of the most influential bands from the UK Anarcho-Punk scene of the 80's, filed right alongside Crass and Conflict, and just as relevant today as they were during the darkest days of Thatcher's Britain. Take your choice in how to label them – Punk, UK82, Crusty, etc. – therein lies the attraction and consequent reason for their popularity, the band epitomizes non-conformity and connects with people in many different scenes. This is their first new music in 12 years - all brand new songs about terror/pollution/mind control and similar reflections on a world in crisis! Subhumans don’t really need much in the way of introduction - since 1980, they’ve recorded and released a powerhouse of a back catalog that completely stands the test of time. ‘The Day the Country Died’ (1983) and ‘From the Cradle to the Grave’ (1984) are two classic albums in practically every punk’s collection. This album will undoubtedly be filed right alongside these records as another huge contribution to the world of punk they helped create. Pirates Press Records are thrilled to be releasing this new record, and Subhumans are embarking on a year of touring in both Europe and North America! The social and political commentary of bands like Subhumans forged a path, along with their contemporaries, for punk to change lives and opinions around the world. Sadly the things they sang about forty years ago are largely just as important now, sometimes more so in an age of Trump and Brexit. We can’t wait to hear more of what they have to say about the current political climate, the immense imbalance of wealth and power, and the causes they hold near and dear to their hearts. RIXE | collection | LP

    16.00 incl. tax
Collection neatly compiles RIXE's first 3 Eps on one album. All 12 cuts have been remastered for maximum volume. Rixe appeared from nowhere and went from strength to strength over the two years since the Debut EP Coup Et Blessures was released in February 2015. The EP was their calling card and harked back to the glory years of Bologna's finest Nabat mixed with the classic 80's French Oi! sound. It was instant and loved by all and went on to have six pressings. A year later came Les Nerf A Vif - another four tracker with extra bite and bile. Every track was perfectly recorded and produced. Lean with snarl and each track a nugget of anthemic Oi!. On third EP Bapteme Du Feu there was no let up in quality...  more. (La Vida Es Un Mus Records)

20 years ago DISCLOSE released their response to the greatest hardcore 12” ever released: DISCHARGE’s Why. At the time the band was at the peak of their DISCHARGE era and had perfectly crafted a trademark sound, which shows through on the recording. The chainsaw-sounding double-toned guitar, Kawakami’s unmistakable vocals, and a rhythm section firmly based on the Stoke-On-Trent’s beat melded together to create a repetitive mantra-like noise chant. Recorded at Grove Cargo and mastered at Studio D-Takt by Jan Jutila, the production is a perfect example of noise not music pressed into vinyl, with both high and low frequencies cutting through the mix without losing any power. Lyrically Nightmare Or Reality focuses on the tragic sights of bullshit fucking war while aurally the record is a full-blown attack on all senses. D-Beat Raw Punk at its best. 20 years on and many times imitated but never duplicated. Originally released by MCR Company, this 20 year anniversary official reissue comes in a printed inner sleeve and heavy board outer sleeve. (La Vida Es Un Mus Records)
  • THE COMES | no side | LP

    20.00 incl. tax
Official reissue of seminal Japanese Hardcore band THE COMES debut. Originally released in 1983 on Dogma Records, a newly created City Rocker’s side label to release Hardcore/ Hard punk) No Side remains a milestone of first wave Japanese Hardcore. A vital document to understand the days when the Tokyo Hardcore scene was small and unknown with G.I.S.M., EXECUTE, GAUZE and THE COMES as main runners. Bands who shared stages, record labels and who grew to be one of the most varied, influential and enigmatic punk scenes of the planet. THE COMES music is frantic and sharp punk, bass driven and manic sounding with vocalist Chitose aggressive vocals punctuating every syllable and dominating the tunes. Like most first wave Hardcore acts they own their own sound and albeit many times imitated it has never been matched. No Side reissue comes in a heavy paste on board textured sleeve and includes a replica lyric insert. Includes digital pre-order of No Side. You get 2 tracks now (streaming via the free Bandcamp app and also available as a high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more), plus the complete album the moment it’s released. https://lavidaesunmus.bandcamp.com/album/no-side
  • The first, best and only Stiff Little Fingers album that you need. Released originally in 1979 as the first album ever on Rough Trade, it is harsh, brutal, primitive punk rock with sadly still relevant lyrics about the troubles in Northern Ireland. This stands head and shoulders above all other albums of the time. Their punk rock aesthetic is authentic, with raw lyricism and harsh instrumentation. Containing the anthemic track Alternative Ulster, Stiff Little Fingers promote the ‘grab it and change it’ narrative. (Parlophone Records)
  • ID | twoja twarz | LP

    13.00 incl. tax
(Shipping: September) Established in 1983, ID is considered the first band from the Polish hardcore/punk scene to be inspired by the sound and energy of hardcore from the USA. Thanks to student exchanges in Krakow, tapes from the NYC and DC hardcore pioneers inspired members of the band. Over the years, they developed their own characteristic sound. Although throughout the 80s and 90s they were the one of the frontrunners of the independent hardcore/punk scene in Poland, they left behind only a vinyl EP and several cassettes. In 1991, the band entered the legendary Złota Skała (Gold Rock) studio and, under the supervision of Robert Brylewski, recorded excellent material for a full-length. They recorded 17 tracks which sounded fresh, dynamic, and with the specific sound of that studio were reminiscent a bit of the "Legenda” of Armia or the first material from Post Regiment recorded a bit later. Both bands were strongly associated with the band from Krakow. The enormous potential and talent of the team finally brought results and things were looking very optimistic for the future. Unfortunately, the band got involved with a record company, which actually inhibited their development, releasing their material only on cassette, and two years too late, in 1993. Twenty-five years have passed since this release, and it has been 35 years since the band formed. We decided it was time to finally release a vinyl record and CD with new mastering. • Νέος δίσκος απο τους Αντίδραση, 300 αντίτυπα σε κόκκινο βινύλιο. (Self Released)
  • (Shipping: September) Tokyo powerhouse KRIEGSHÖG returns with a two track 7” of distorted hardcore punk perfection. Facing a line up change the band sound was altered slightly after the previous guitarist quit. The new line up may have taken the guitar fuzziness a notch down in favour of a crunchier guitar tone but amped up the songwriting to the next level with a overdose of riffs, attacking each note with the same ferocious venom they have us accustomed to. These two tracks display both sides of KRIEGSHÖG perfectly, a mid tempo bass driven 4 minute banger backed up by a classic destructive sonic jam with the gnarliest punk vocals out there. Quoting the band “Play Loud and DIE!!!” The high contrast black and white of their aesthetic and sound takes a new turn making room for a conceptual record. Housed in a heavy duty PVC pocket sleeve with artwork silkscreened on it the clear vinyl record with pure black and white labels. • Although these songs were all originally recorded at the same time, they were released separately - either on various compilations or on the "Let The Boots Do The Talking" and "Carson?" 7' EPs. We're re-releasing them together here to inspire some more resistance to the sick and twisted system that is destroying our planet. Comes with 20 page booklet, reissue on Urinal Vinyl Records of the 2006 LP. (Urinal Vinyl Records)
  • CONFLICT | conclusion | LP

    13.00 incl. tax
Long-running U.K. anarcho punks Conflict hardly need an introduction. This is a reissue of their 1993 album which saw the band incorporating keyboards, synths, horns, and even some ska and death rock influences. While their previous albums It’s Time to See Who’s Who and Increase the Pressure were much more rooted in hardcore punk, Conclusion offers a more challenging listen with songs clocking in at over nine minutes, with spoken word and operatic song structures. It’s probably not what I would ever recommend as a go-to or classic (their previously mentioned first two records are where I’d start with) but twenty-four years later, this album still stands the test of time and holds up about as well as anything that came out that year. The unlisted final song is perhaps the band at its most ferocious and worth the price of admission alone. –Juan Espinosa (Papagájův Hlasatel Records)
