Apparently influenced by the pulse of their generation, Toxic Rabbits comment on the political and social reality. Through their melodies and lyrics, they compose “urban poems” about Athens and every other city in the world strangled by violence and oppression. Their sound combines rhythm and melody, characterized by Danae’s dynamic vocals and sharp -and sometimes ethereal- guitars, over a stronghold rhythm section… Their first album “City of Dead Lights” seeks to stand by each individual and every social movement that reacts and creates beyond current social norms. Toxic Rabbits converse with the unconscious and the brain process of the person who does not conform. The sound of “City of Dead Lights” sinks into the whirl of the dark side of the psyche, which generates torrential bursts and seeks the meaning of existence. Toxic Rabbits started playing in the summer of 2016 under the initiative of founding members, lead singer Danae Kassimi and guitarist Apostolos Lagarias (Strange C). After over a decade of working through darkness, the band?s gorgeously gruff fifth album, Lament, finds the light at the end of the tunnel. Through 11 songs, Touché Amoré looks back at its past and uses hard-won optimism to point its fans toward light, and love. For the follow up to the their critically acclaimed 2016 release, Stage Four, Touché Amoré have opted to get out of their comfort zone and work with a new producer, the famously demanding Ross Robinson (Slipknot, Korn, At the Drive-In). Both Robinson and Touché Amoré are known for their trademark intensity. "I believe there was an unspoken learning curve between Ross?s methods and the understanding that I?ve poured myself into the words and mean every one of them," vocalist Jeremy Bolm says. Robinson agreed to a rare one-song "test recording" last summer, which resulted in the song "Deflector", released last fall. In the end, "Deflector" proved the producer/band combo was undoubtedly the right fit. Robinson made Bolm read out all of his confessional lyrics to his bandmates to make sure they understood their emotional content. Making Bolm read those lyrics turned out to be what helped make their emotions palpable in the final recording. With its ruminations on the draining human connection ("I?ll test the water/I won?t dive right in/That?s too personal/I?m too delicate"), Lament?s first helping is a sharp intro to the album?s themes. Lament is their masterstroke. Its longer, structured songs soar with a ferocious but delicate musicality and powerful, gut-wrenching storytelling that smashes previous heights. Yet as much as the band has grown and matured via everything they?ve endured, it?s perhaps equally impressive how they?ve managed to stay true to their core? (Epitaph Records)

Classic Second LP "Ni Måste Bort!" translates loosely to "You've gotta go!" , Totalitar mark racist, sexist and capitalist modes of thought, dysfunctional politicians and useless media, cynicism and the dull mechanical wearing on people's lives on the "To go" list! A Frenzied wall of guitar driven thrash with gutteral shouts and pulverizing drums, Totalitar's sound was cut from the influence of classic D-beat and Swedish hardcore, but with time has become one of the genre's cornerstones. Ni Måste Bort! was originally released on Sweden's FINN records label in the mid 1990's, and reissued originally by Prank in the early 2000's. This is is it's first re-release in almost two decades, from the original mother plates but brightened with new plating and pressing art RTI. Finally, a new deep cut from Melbourne’s visceral post-punk band Total Control. Typical System, their second LP, was written, recorded, created over the past two years and is set for US/Worldwide release via Iron Lung Records on June 24th and self-release in Australia/New Zealand on June 20th. Total Control emerged from Australia’s dynamic punk scene in ’08, releasing a succession of 7”s that developed from an aggressive post-punk band sound to studio forays into electronic forms from minimal wave to house. Their debut LP, Henge Beat, was commended as one of the few records released in 2011 that evaded the ease of classification and competent tribute act status of most modern bands. Subsequently, they have released three very different records: a split 12” with Thee Oh Sees, a 7” single on Sub Pop and a house remix 12”.
