From its ominous, xeroxed album cover, to the barely legible lyric sheet to the sheer chaos invoked by the music, Rancid 2000 (as the second self-titled LP has come to be known) is "paint-peeling punk rock of the highest order." Produced by long-time friend and producer Brett Gurewitz, most of the 22 songs clock in at well under two minutes, and there are absolutely no ballads. Guitars are driven to within inches of meltdown, the bass burns with the signature maniacal virtuosity of Matt Freeman, and the vocals are delivered with raging conviction. Rancid's hardest, fastest record to date! (Hellcat Records)

New York's RASPBERRY BULBS (featuring members of BONE AWL and RORSCHACH,) make their Relapse Records debut with their highly anticipated new album, "Before the Age of Mirrors". Forever defying the conventions of underground music, RASPBERRY BULBS continue to push the envelope via their subversive take on occult Punk and Black Metal. Through maniacal lyricism, raw guitar snarls channeled through gritty, 4 track recordings, and a wall of distortion, RASPBERRY BULBS suffocate the listener every step of the way. RASPBERRY BULBS emphasize the volatile, confrontational attitudes of Punk with the discordant sounds of Lo-Fi Black Metal and inspirational fever dreams found only in weird fiction. In the band's own words, "parts paranoia, anger, and insane humor to satisfy the most cynical minds, "Before the Age of Mirrors" was crafted for the times where we desperately look for a way forward and we seem, at this dazzling stage, almost prepared to step through the mirror." (Relapse Records/2020)
  • Like a steel girder to the forehead, incomes SCREAMS FROM THE CAGE. 19 minutes of brutally up front and relentlessly rowdy hardcore punk, that slams a firm British stamp on the classic Swedish Hardcore blueprint. This wrecking ball sits somewhere between the 80’s Hudiksvall sounds of MISSBRUKARNA, the damaged NO FUTURE confessions of THE PARTISANS and the sheer rock and roll audacity of the SKITKIDS. Back to back riffs that’ll stick to your brain like the glue at the bottom of your bag and steaming drums blasts that’ll plough through your skull like a juggernaut driven by a maniac high on amphetamine. Mylo Oxlo provides the artwork once again, perfectly capturing the claustrophobic animosity of the Rat’s latest 12 song romp and rampage. Fittingly dropping on the year of the Rat while the Tory’s take a strangle hold of the U.K for another 4 years. Hold onto your seat, feel the burn and don’t you dare turn this fucker down. • Less than a year and a half after their debut Rata Negra from Madrid release their sophomore album. Made up of members from Juanita Y Los Feos and La URSS this trio have a strong work ethic and deal in super catchy and upbeat punk. On Justicia Cósmica, Rata Negra have upped the pop element in the songs and the production is stronger and chunky, without losing any of the raw elements. Again the whole sound is immersed in the darker and morbid side of post punk but mixed with the uptempo nature and tunes and of La's X and Gorilla Angreb. Like on their debut, it's love at first listen. Justicia Cósmica was recorded and produced by the legendary Paco Loco and as in previous releases the sleeve was designed by the band’s guitarist Fa Feo who also took care of the lyric insert. • One year after their “Justicia Cósmica” LP RATA NEGRA are back with a two song single of dark pop perfection. On the A side the Madrid power trio puts music to a poem of José María Gabriel y Galán (1870-1905) turning its melancholic prose into a mid tempo punk beauty with surf guitars and deep bass tones bringing to mind the almighty GOLPES BAJOS on speed. A chance meeting of Spanish Costumbrism and kitsch as seen on the song’s video. The flip side “Problemas, No” brings back to life VIDEO’s minor hit from 1983 updating the Synth Pop of the original to a sharp upbeat punk jam which will have you dancing your shoes off. Recorded in Madrid at Metropol and mastered at London’s Finyl Tweek La Hija Del Sepulturero comes housed in a sleeve designed by the band’s Guitarrist Fa with help from Vocalist Violeta and includes a lyric insert. • One of the greatest albums by these iconic Brazilian Thrash/Punk champions back on vinyl after more than 20 years from its original pressing... Brutal, aggressive Hardcore/Crossover from South America's finest, kicking asses since 1981! Produced by Billy Anderson (Neurosis, Sleep, Brutal Truth, Melvins, Fantomas etc) in 1997 now specially remastered for vinyl to ensure the best dynamic impact and enriched with 1 exclusive bonus track that was previously appearing only on the CD version. Restyled sleeve + insert with lyrics and never seen before photos of that time. If you got the previous RxDxPx releases on FOAD ("Periferia", "Descanse em paz", "Feijoada acidente", "No money no English") you know you can't go wrong with this! (FOAD Records)
  • Ratos De Porão's Crucificados Pelo Sistema (1984) contains all the fury, the frustration, the rage and the pain of four young ones against the system in a country that was in the midst of a change from Third World to trying to fitting into a new social order. The projected image of Brazil with its beautiful mulatas, exotic beaches and tropical fruit drinks filled them with disgust, living there in one of the most dangerous cities in Latin America. Their reality was brutal and they wanted to scream it at the entire world. Sixteen songs were formed on the same base as what would later be called "D-beat." The Finnish bands from the '80s were really important in the Brazilian punk scene, just as Discharge was. Simple, fast and straight to the point. Two classic songs have been added for this special occasion, recorded for the classic Ataque Sonoro compilation (which also contains Brazilian pioneers such as Virus 27, Colera, Armagedom or Lobotomia, amongst others). 180 gram vinyl. Housed in a gatefold with pics and musings by Gordo. (Beat Generation Records)

  • RATTUS | turta | CD

    5.00 incl. tax
Ever since the 1980 privately pressed EP “Khomeini Rock”, Rattus have been a driving force in the Finnish punk scene and largely responsible – along with Kaaos and Terveet Kädet – for bringing some international renown to their particular sub-genre. After spending the nineties in oblivion the band reformed in 2003 and released a self-titled album in 2005, which, even though the band had released a notable amount of material on 12 and 7 inch wax in their heyday, was actually their first proper album. The year 2013 sees the band back in full swing, with new vocalist Jopo Rantanen injecting some fresh blood into the hardcore power trio. The band have recently completed long tours in North and South America and spent the summer recording their new LP. The album is called “Turta” (Numb). Svart Records, who recently reissued the band’s classic 12 inch EPs “WC räjähtää” and “Uskonto on vaara”, continue working with the band and bring the new 14-track platter to the world on December 5th. The LP’s striking cover art was created by Irish artist Sean Fitzgerald. (Svart Records)
  • F.O.A.D. Records keeps up the unbreakable legacy with Italy’s absolute Hardcore heroes RAW POWER giving to their most classic album “Screams from the gutter” a proper deluxe edition to consecrate its 35th anniversary, a total quality-care version that makes justice to this timeless Hardcore milestone! Many of you will agree that this is the finest Italian HC offering ever made and easily one of the 10 world’s best Hardcore records of the 80’s… over 40.000 copies sold and still sounding fresh and up-to-date even when compared to modern HC standards. F.O.A.D.‘s treatment for this all time colossus consists of a thick glossy gatefold sleeve featuring lyrics and rare/unreleased photos and flyers, a square A2 replica of their cult gig-poster with Cro-Mags and Motörhead + a scrupolous mastering that respects in detail the original reels sound leaving full breathe and dynamics to its original impact and (raw) power! 17 gems of intense, no-frills HC with a bombastic drummer, fantastic guitar riffs and angry vocals. It’s a difficult comparison with their other early output – “You Are The Victim” and the excellent material released by BCT – but after all “Screams From The Gutter” marks RAW POWER‘s peak due to its superior production. The band’s simple yet instantly memorable riffs bring to mind Black Flag, Circle Jerks but also earlier groups like the Who, AC/DC, and of course, the Stooges. Throw in some cool harmonics, rockin’ solos, a cowbell, and a guitar player with hell-shriek vocals, a fucking huge afro and pointy shoes, and you have this flawless Hardcore classic!! (F.O.A.D. Records)
  • Fantastic debut album by Raxola, a Belgian punk band which formed 1977 by Yves Kengen, who previously played in Bastard with Brian James. They are, with The Kids and Hubble Bubble, one of the three Belgian bands to have had the opportunity to record an album from the beginning of the punk era. They split up in 1979 after their record company fired them for becoming too progressive. This is reissue of this Belgian punk classic, originally released in 1978 on the Philips label. Following the success of THE KIDS' first LP, Philips was on the lookout for new punk talent. What they found was RAXOLA, and they took Belgium by storm with an amazing sound. Comes on pink vinyl. (Veals & Geeks Records)
  • Available for the first time on vinyl, early raw versions of classic tracks from legendary NYC Anarcho punk band Reagan Youth. One of New York City's earliest Hardcore bands, forming in early 1980, hailing from Queens NYC where they attended Forest Hills High School the same HS as the Ramones. They shared the stage with many of the other 80s legends such as Bad Brains, MDC, Dead Kennedys and the Misfits. In 1984 they released their now classic album 'Youth Anthems For The New Order' on SF label R Radical Records home of Anarcho Hardcore Punks MDC. This album predates that LP, the recordings on this album have an amazing primitive raw in your face energy and feel. A true artifact of blistering punk from the early NYCHC scene. You also get them tearing through a cover of the motorhead classic 'Ace of Spades' along with all the deluxe packaging you've come to expect from Puke n Vomit Records. (Puke n Vomit Records)
  • A continuation of "vol 1" - alittle heavier but just as amazing. "volume 2" is the 2nd album by punk band REAGAN YOUTH. The group began working on the record after its decision to disband, and its songs represent material written throughout the band's ten-year initial career. As bassist Victor Dominicis left the band early in the album's recording sessions with an unsatisfactory performance, guitarist Paul Bakija plays both guitar and bass on the record. Limited edition, blue vinyl. (New Red Archives)
  • The special 40th anniversary edition of the Red Cross EP, which includes the band’s six-song eponymous debut and adds five contemporaneous extra tracks, is the most comprehensive document to date of the extraordinary birth of Redd Kross. The demo session was recorded at Media Art in Hermosa Beach, the same studio where Black Flag made their Nervous Breakdown EP. Engineered by Spot and produced by power-pop godfather Joe Nolte of the Last, these four tracks mark the first time the band had ever stepped foot in a recording studio. Notably, the demo session was paid for with 12-year-old bassist Steven’s paper route money. A couple of months later, in October 1979, the band recorded the “Posh Boy” sessions at the Shelter, a studio in Hollywood owned by Shelter Records. This session produced the proto power pop-punk classics “Annette’s Got the Hits” and “I Hate My School,” both of which would appear on their 1980 self-titled debut EP on Posh Boy Records. The entire birth story of Redd Kross is being celebrated on this 40th anniversary edition of Red Cross (known to many as “the Posh Boy EP”), and these tracks sound as fresh and vital to our ears now as they did when they were originally released four decades ago. Black vinyl in a dustsleeve with printed lyrics and photos. Includes digital download card. (Merge Records)
  • REVILLOS | rev up | LP

    17.50 incl. tax
Beat Generation present a vinyl reissue of Rev Up, the 1980 debut of the legendary The Revillos. Following the break-up of The Rezillos, The Revillos were born and would soon release this fun packed whirlwind of frantic new wave, punk rock, '60s pop, classic rock & roll, and much more, laced with science-fiction and B-movie awesomeness. Clocking barely over 30 minutes, the album mixes über catchy original tracks like "Yeah Yeah", "Motor Bike Beat", "Rock-A-Boom", or "Rev Up" with classic covers like "Cool Jerk" or "Hippy Hippy Sheik", making it an absolutely essential party album. Get ready to rev up! Includes fold out poster. (Beat Generation)
  • Another Finnish HC-classic released on ROR in 1984 and never reissued before that shows impressively why so many punx love Finnish HC worldwide! Comes with the poster-inlay which contains additional photos from Puntala-rock 1983 and lyrics! On the studio-side RIISTETYT sing in English which works surprisingly fine! ATTENTION: The B-side - recorded live - contains 3 bonus-tracks compared to the original LP (but "Mieletöntä Väkivaltaa" is missing!) and most songs are different versions because RIISTETYT played two shows at Puntala in 1983! On this LP the B-side is much better than on the original LP cause RIISTETYT play here much tighter, especially Piise's basslines are incredible! Probably they have been already too drunk and wasted the other day! The sound-quality is also good! This is another Finnish HC-classic from 80ies! Licensed from Propaganda Records! (Hohnie Records)
  • RIKK AGNEW put together a 12-song album, "learn", with a permanent group known simply as the RIKK AGNEW BAND. The new tracks are easily as good as anything he wrote for THE ADOLESCENTS and his solo album "all by myself". After all these years, RIKK has not slowed down or waned in impact and vitality. Thick 180gr vinyl includes a digital download card. (Frontier Records) https://frontierrecords-rikkagnew.bandcamp.com/album/learn
  • RIKK AGNEW wrote, sang and played every ferocious note on his first solo LP, All By Myself, first released in October 1982. The vinyl has been out-of-print since the mid-'80s, then reappeared as bonus tracks on the ADOLESCENTS self-titled CD up until 2000. Frontier has always felt that this album contained some of his best songs ("O.C. Life," "Falling Out"), so here it is, finally released all by itself on vinyl. • In the reactionary wake of 1970s punk rock came postpunk, a more complex, fragmented brand of music characterized by stark recordings, synthesizers and often cold, affected vocals. Postpunk stands as "a fair match for the Sixties," argues Reynolds, both in terms of the amount of great music created as well as the music's connection to the "social and political turbulence" of its era (the early 1980s). Seeking to address a gap in music and pop culture history, Reynolds (Generation Ecstasy) has penned an ambitious, cerebral effort to establish a high place in rock history for bands such as Joy Division, Devo, Talking Heads, Mission of Burma and, of course, Public Image Limited (PiL), fronted by former Sex Pistols singer John Lydon (Johnny Rotten). Reynolds, an energetic writer, especially captures the postpunk ethic in telling the story of PiL's short journey from record company darlings to utter oblivion. Unfortunately, by the time he gets to bands like Human League and Frankie Goes to Hollywood, his passion is undermined by his subject. Reynolds succeeds in depicting the icons and the richness of an era that clearly manifests itself as a primary influence among a new generation of musicians. Rip It Up and Start Again is the first book-length exploration of the wildly adventurous music created in the years after punk. Renowned music journalist Simon Reynolds celebrates the futurist spirit of such bands as Joy Division, Gang of Four, Talking Heads, and Devo, which resulted in endless innovations in music, lyrics, performance, and style and continued into the early eighties with the video-savvy synth-pop of groups such as Human League, Depeche Mode, and Soft Cell, whose success coincided with the rise of MTV. Full of insight and anecdotes and populated by charismatic characters, Rip It Up and Start Again re-creates the idealism, urgency, and excitement of one of the most important and challenging periods in the history of popular music. Format Paperback | 608 pages Dimensions 129 x 198 x 36mm | 496g Language English
  • To put it simply, Ritual is a hardcore punk band: a group of four young, passionate musicians who combine their individuality to form a statement against the mental and emotional downfalls of society and the hardcore punk scene. "Beneath Aging Flesh And Bone" is their most reflective and darkest material to date. Gatefold LP. Comes with printed inner sleeve including lyrics and pictures. White vinyl. RIXE | collection | LP

    17.00 incl. tax
Collection neatly compiles RIXE's first 3 Eps on one album. All 12 cuts have been remastered for maximum volume. Rixe appeared from nowhere and went from strength to strength over the two years since the Debut EP Coup Et Blessures was released in February 2015. The EP was their calling card and harked back to the glory years of Bologna's finest Nabat mixed with the classic 80's French Oi! sound. It was instant and loved by all and went on to have six pressings. A year later came Les Nerf A Vif - another four tracker with extra bite and bile. Every track was perfectly recorded and produced. Lean with snarl and each track a nugget of anthemic Oi!. On third EP Bapteme Du Feu there was no let up in quality...  more. (La Vida Es Un Mus Records)
• *LIMITED EDITION OF 500 COPIES ONLY! The story of northern English band Blitz follows something of an unusual trajectory. Formed in the small industrial town of New Mills in Derbyshire (once known for coal mines, cotton mills and calico bleaching), Blitz began as a hardcore concern, their first two albums considered classics of the ‘street punk’ and Oi subgenres of the early 1980s, but third album Second Empire Justice shifted their sound in a totally unexpected post-punk/new wave direction, with intricate arrangements, greater musical complexity and a generally softer style. Unfortunately for the group, the album was a commercial failure that spelled their ultimate demise, yet just as the band bit the dust, bassist Neil McLennan and guitarist Nidge Miller formed Rose of Victory with drummer Gary Bowler and engineer Nigel Beverley on vocals, cutting a one-off version of Bowie’s “Suffragette City,” coupled with an equally intriguing Miller instrumental on the flip. Rose of Victory never lasted beyond this initial offering, however, leaving the single a unique memento of their faltering creativity. (Radiation Records)
