Out of stockBack in stockHailing from the coastal town Brest in the far north-western corner of France LITOVSK deliver a fulminant and outstanding debut album. Eleven songs of dark and gloomy Postpunk/Wave. You could say, you’ve heard it before and yes, you proabably have: Some of the songs were taken from their 2014 Demo Tape. Rumbling and driving basslines, straight drumming topped by partly wavey guitar riffs: simple, clean and honest while retaining a good portion of frenetic power and energy. Think of THE ESTRANGED, NEW FLESH or RED DONGS. A Band to reckon with: LITOVSK is defintely one of the best Postpunk coming from Europe these days. On this records they manage to give an extra vibe to the last wave and created eleven hymns to dance and sing along with (Contraszt Records)

Back in stockIn 1994 punk rock fanzine writer Welly Artcore jumped in the van with legendary British punk band CHAOS U.K. for a two month tour around the U.S. Four years later he did it all again with his own band, FOUR LETTER WORD, this time also travelling across Canada. From the impossible drives, to scrapes with the authorities, and the bands they shared stages and floors with along the way, often with nothing more than the name of a club on a scrap of paper that turned out to be a disused unit in an industrial estate, they somehow made most of the gigs. All the while, he did something so many others don’t, he wrote it all down. 'Directions to the outskirts of town' is a candid and humorous account of life on the road packed into a 6” x 9” paperback with over 300 pages, over 250 unpublished colour photos, flyers and illustrations, and a foreword by Kaos of CHAOS U.K. This great new punk rock tour diary, packed with anecdotes and photos, comes with a poster and bookmark. The first printing of the books are shipping out right now. “Initially I gave Chaos U.K. a five year shelf life. Twenty five years later and I am still screaming” -Kaos of Chaos UK. Format Paperback | 328 pages Dimensions 156 x 234 x 23mm | 617g Publication date 28 Jun 2021 Publisher Earth Island Books Language English While still in high school, after finding out what a fanzine was from the pages of Maximum Rock’n’Roll he began creating his own, Artcore, in late 1985, printing a few dozen copies of the first issue on the high school photocopier in January 1986. He continues to publish Artcore to this day with 40 issues and 16 vinyl fanzines released to date. From 1991 he was in numerous punk bands and has 20 releases and numerous tours under his belt. He also ran two D.I.Y. punk rock record shops/stalls, Damaged Records (2004-2008) and the aptly named Ghost Town Records (2012-2014) in Cardiff, Wales, and was involved in promoting and making flyers for gigs and all-day charity benefits in Cardiff and Newport from the 1980s onwards. After the tours he visited the U.S. numerous times with his family before relocating to Arizona in 2018.

Portland peace punk/deathrock hybrid Arctic Flowers have amassed an impressive roster of underground and punk musicians to compile their Remix LP, out now on Deranged Records. The 12? vinyl contains the band’s first 3-song EP followed by four remixes. The digital download of the album supplies an extra five remix tracks that could not fit onto the vinyl (a vinyl purchase comes with a code to download the extra five songs). The Remix LP furthers expands Arctic Flowers’ crossover appeal into postpunk, goth, and even industrial dance club territory. The assemblage of remixes here from folks in Soft Kill, Toxic Holocaust, Rubella Ballet, Cadaver em Transe, and others range from ultra-dancey (the Sid Truelove of Rubella Ballet remix of "Technicolor Haze”), to uber-gothy (the Soft Kill remix), to 80s dance (the Alex Cuervo of Espectrostatic/Hex Dispensers mix) – even to dub (the Cadaver em Transe remix by Pato). A few of the takes on "Technicolor Haze” – especially the Sid Truelove/”Dayglo” and Alex Cuervo remixes – seem ready made for the club floor. The Gold Zippers’ "Purple Clouds” remix is a deeply atmospheric gothic meditation. The Soft Kill remix at the end is a really doomy, almost Killing Joke-ish dirge that not unsurprisingly sounds a bit like an Arctic Flowers/Blessure Grave collaboration! A fun and interesting experiment the Flowers have here, an LP featuring punk, industrial, and gothic versions of their songs. (Deranged Records)

A No.1 Indie chart topper when originally released in 1981, this was a 10 track mini LP first issued by collectable Clay Records. We’ve added 14 bonus including the Indie Chart hit singles ‘Realities Of War’ (No.5, 44 weeks), ‘Fight Back’ (No.4, 46 weeks) and ‘Decontrol’ (No.2, 44 weeks) to what has already been generally acclaimed as THE UK Hardcore Punk record. The influence this album and Discharge have had on the world-wide Punk movement is impossible to measure – they started a whole genre of “Discore” bands and have been covered by so many Punk and Metal bands (Metallica, Sepultura, Machine Head, Soulfly and Anthrax to name a few) – Punk Rock does not get rawer then this! What is One Step Closer? In 1854, Thoreau asserted that most of us lead lives of quiet desperation, shielding our common sorrows in favor of a brittle veneer of stability, a lie that shatters us all in the shadows of a self-made shade of fearing what the world may find when we finally step closer into the light. From Walden to Wilkes-Barre, that 19th century sense of desperation to be seen just as one truly is, carries into our 21st century, - but unquiet and in the sound of a fury that is literally One Step Closer, - closer to obliterating the shackles of our shadows, closer to the light shining on our souls - showcasing our universal and human nature to love, loathe, and long for something more. In 2016, and in the midst of the winding wilderness that is adolescence, the hearts and minds that world would know as One Step Closer (Ryan Savitski, Tommy Norton, Ross Thompson, Brian Talipan and Grady Allen) took to the task of telling the world of the universal truths that could be found in the dim, dank depths of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania with the same liberated love for living a full and examined life which Thoreau wrote of before the dramatic wilderness of Walden, yet to the sonics of a revived and reimagined Turning Point that left listeners with a sense of refreshing originality. From PA to CA, One Step Closer scrawled in the halls of America’s hardcore their questions of truth, love, morality, evolution and human freedom, setting the darkness surrounding the togetherness of our species right to fire. And yet, out of five years of reaching for the relationship from the impossibly-distant, yet infinitely-close proverbial me and you comes assertions. Assertions stemming from the dullness of Wilkes-Barre, from the philosophizing of our fears, from our desperation to dare and not dream, from this place you know that sits at the core of our being and commands: no matter the sorrow or shame, we are all called to step into the light of truth, so move closer and quiet no more. In short, One Step Closer is a source and force of seeking the freedom to be as you are and dream to be. • Pat Flynn | 6.5.21 (Run For You Cover Records)

Q: Do you really want to read an umpteenth generic blurb about yet another random d-beat punk band? A: No you don't. So let's hear it from the, er, fans?: "I don't have a clue what d-beat is, but those guys seem alright?" – Charles, local bartender "Fucking thieves stealing riffs and getting away with it." – Asocial "…wait, they stole riffs too?" – Bambi, Stoke-on-Trent, UK "OK boomers" – Emma, 16 As the sky is once again studded with bombs the history repeats itself endlessly. “A giant game of chess they play with you and I as the disposable pieces” isn’t it ? There will always be atrocities to document and to denounce. This record fits perfectly to the current context. The lyrics have never been so meaningful in the sense that they depict a world where the dark side of the human race has the upper hand, where scorn and hatred know no end. Do we need to tell you that this new offering from BOMBARDEMENT is their best record ever and that you will never get enough of this raging punk deluge ? Yes, the guitars are like sharp incisors starving for revenge. Yes, the vocals resonate like bomb alerts. The future is here and it’s no fairy tale. (Destructure Records)

Out of stockLiving legend Sonny Vincent (Testors/The Limit) celebrates Raw incendiary Rock, leaving pretenders in the shade with new album “Snake Pit Therapy” Unleashed via Finland’s Svart Records on the 17th of September 2021, Vincent’s “Snake Pit Therapy” is a whirlwind of soulful punk with a badass backbone. Born in New York City and raised on its streets and in its clubs, Sonny Vincent is infamous from NYC Punk early fire-starters Testors, who from ‘75 to ’79 were attitude-laden fixtures on the CBGB and Max’s Kansas City scenes. Vincent’s new album “Snake Pit Therapy” is raw, real-deal blazing Protopunk with lashings of Psychedelia and Hard Rock, all taken to the edge with Sonny’s Vincent’s secret weapons, the naked aggression in his passionate voice and his trademark caustic guitar. If there is an honesty which runs through the bones in “Snake Pit Therapy” it’s because Sonny Vincent’s life and antics are more than legend, they are real, as documented in his recent book bearing the same title as this very album. In and out of homes for bad kids, committed to the Psych Ward for observation and forcibly conscripted into a tour of duty in Vietnam courtesy of the U.S. Marine Corp, Sonny Vincent’s experience of wild and tough living has awarded his songs hardness with humanity. Sincerity without mawkishness, “Snake Pit Therapy” is a glorious testament to real Rock ‘n’ Roll. 15 tracks of electrifying shock-treatment, with catchy, primal screams and searing melody, “Snake Pit Therapy” is just what the doctor ordered. Songs like “The End of Light” and “Never Tired” with their heart-ripped open choruses are visceral, vital and urgent. Sonny Vincent has venom in his fangs, and his song-writing is razor sharp. Burning with underground spirit, never standing still, Sonny Vincent is the ultimate undestroyable outsider, most recently exploding the airwaves with his new heavy Punk Metal band The Limit, featuring Bobby Liebling of Pentagram, and garnering glowing reviews worldwide. While playing with some of the genre’s most influential names during a career which has spanned over 3 decades and 28 albums without compromise, Vincent’s music remains die hard, high octane, high voltage and high class. “Snake Pit Therapy” rocks with a heart-heavy passion, savage smarts, and tunes that can reunite you with your own bastard youth. Are you ready to get your head rearranged by a man whose music mixes irresistible melody with a powerful and raw sound that’s more potent than a cornered king cobra? If so, you’re in urgent need of “Snake Pit Therapy”! Black vinyl, 8 page booklet (Svart Records)

Out of stockIn 1985, VERBAL ABUSE recorded this seminal album after moving from Texas to San Francisco a few years prior much like their peers in D.R.I., living on a diet supplied by soup kitchens and whatever else they could get their hands on, epitomizing the term hardcore. "just an american band" is hardcore at its most raw and primal, a testament to a time when to be hardcore, you had to live hardcore. The band were a soundtrack to a scene still in it’s infancy, a scene that rallied and stood firm against the outside world. Also contains large booklet with lyrics, photos, and commentary from the band. Includes a 12-page booklet, with lyrics, band pictures, and liner notes. (Beer City Records)

EATTIE (vocals), CONNELL (drums/cymbals) and WOOD ("FOUR STEEL GIRDERS"/ vocals) teamed up with sinister BASTARD NOISE lead vocalist ARTZ and the astounding voice of AMBER ASYLUM, KRIS FORCE to create this long, long awaited album of sound and cinematic vision. Carefully orchestrated basses layered to massive perfection, the most progressively brutal and tasteful drumming coupled with ornate four part vocal arrangements and drilling, esoteric TROGOTRONIC custom "skull electronics" make The Lost M.I.T.B. Sessions one for the record books. (Deep Six Records)

Out of stockAfter 2008's "Hands Off Our Music" 7" (Shortfuse Records) with its furious, brutal delivery, Vienna's COLD WORLD are back with this first full new recording since reuniting + 4 years ago. The focus on COLD WORLD's side of the split 12" with Australia's powerhouse EXTORTION lies on their 80's-Highspeed-Hardcore roots (the 3 core members having played in Austria's premier Hardcore Punk band EXTREM) and early Powerviolence sound which they helped initiate on the European side of the Atlantic with releases on labels such as B-Core and Sound Pollution. However the band is proudly still breaking every rule of the Punk Police, even if this means another 25 years in blastbeat obscurity away from any D-Beat, Noise-Punk, Post-Punk or whatever-hype that just happens to be the retro flavor of the moment. COLD WORLD never fit in anywhere and couldn't care less about changing this situation in 2012. EXTORTION with 11 new Hardcore attacks, you know what you have to expect!!! (Regurgitated Semen Records)

Out of stockOriginally released in 1986, Brian Baker (Minor Threat) and Dave Smalley (DYS, ALL, DOWN BY LAW) pretty much laid the blueprint for all "melodic hardcore" for decades to come with this LP. Arguably the best DAG NASTY record, a must have in anyones collection. Remastered 01/02 at Silver Sonya 1-12 recorded in March of 1986 at Inner Ear Studios. 11-12 recorded during "Can I Say", previously released by Selfless Records. 13-16 recorded live on February 6th, 1986 at the Electric Banana, Pittsburgh, PA. First show with Dave as singer. Previously unreleased. (Dischord Records)

2020’s A Hero’s Death saw Fontaines D.C. land a #2 album in the UK, receive nominations at the GRAMMYs, BRITs and Ivor Novello Awards, and sell out London’s iconic Alexandra Palace. Now the band return with their third record in as many years: Skinty Fia. Used colloquially as an expletive, the title roughly translates from the Irish language into English as “the damnation of the deer”; the spelling crassly anglicized, and its meaning diluted through generations. Part bittersweet romance, part darkly political triumph - the songs ultimately form a long-distance love letter, one that laments an increasingly privatized culture in danger of going the way of the extinct Irish giant deer. Back in stockKohti Tuhoa’s debut was considered by many as the most exciting hardcore punk record out of Scandinavia in ages. Their sophomore album Pelon neljäs valtakunta is constructed from similar building blocks but with the band’s sound taking a step further towards genre classicists such as Discharge and Disorder, not to mention classic Finnish hardcore punk acts such as Terveet Kädet, Varaus, Riistetyt. Back in stockA long forgotten classic LP, finally back in print, in an edition of 500 copies on 180-gram vinyl. Formed in the late '70s at the same high school that spawned L.A. legends T.S.O.L., Rhino 39 had an unfortunate fate. After releasing a legendary single on Dangerhouse in 1979, one of the earliest examples of L.A. hc, lead singer Dave Dacron died in a car accident in 1980. His younger brother took over lead singing duties and though it took another six years for the self-titled debut-LP to be released, it still sounds like classic early 80s L.A. punk. A legendary band with a long forgotten classic LP finally back in print on Radiation Deluxe. 180 gram vinyl. Edition of 500. (Radiation Records)

Back in stockHere's another classic from the early 80's. 'The Violators' was formed in 1981 in New Mills, England and it was a mixture of punks and skins in their line up. In their beiginnings the band sounded very similar to 'Vice Squad' and 'The Expelled'. The band made their debut on the 'A Country Fit For Heroes' 12" in 1981 by 'No Future Records'. The following year they released their first EP titled 'Gangland' followed by 'Summer of 81' in 1982 again by No Future. Few weeks after the release of their second EP, vocalist Helen and guitarrist Coley splited from the band to form their own band call Taboo, but never issued any singles. Meanwhile The Violators have recruited a new vocalist called Louise and guitarist Andy who was formally with "Skin Graft". The second generation of The Violators changed their sound. This time with heavier vocals and songs. The band always kept their clockwork sound, which they are known for. Violators released a few more singles, but never a full length. The band split up in the mid 80's, and marked history with their clockwork images and noises in the punk culture. Mad Butcher Records managed to get the tracks from all of their singles and compilations they appeared and relesead this fantastic LP. (Mad Butcher Records)
