Past and present members of Portland hardcore mainstays such as Remains Of The Day, Hellshock, Warcry, Lebenden Toten, Deathmachine etc pull a 180 and dish out nine new tracks of icy, ominous postpunk. • 'Type Foundry Session I' is an LP collection of The Estranged's first recording sessions at Type Foundry Studios in Portland, OR, totalling eight songs, all released as 7" tracks, most of which are now out of print. This record showcases the band's distinct style of omnimous, dark punk at their most raw and urgent, mixing The Cure, Wire, Joy Division and Christian Death and giving the end result a modern feel. • All genres peak early, followed by uninspiring copy-cats. As for hardcore, the golden years were 1980 – 1985. Execute hailed from Tokyo Japan and made according to eye witness notorious shows. Execute formed already back in 1982 and the most known member is the guitarist Lemmy, who is also to some extent responsible for the bands later transformation into a more Goth-sound. Execute "Blunt Sleazy" 12" is one of the best Japanese bands ever without a doubt. Includes a small double sided info sheet & sticker.  Limited to 200 copies. Import from Mexico. This Lp collects songs from the following releases: - Great Punk Hits comp tracks - Criminal Flowers 7" (1984) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQOG28heBsI - Blunt Sleazy 12" (1985) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWnnTyS-5CQ (Unofficial Release)
  • Fuck the System is the eighth album by the hardcore punk band The Exploited, released in 2002. (Dream Catcher Records)
  • The Fix was one of the earliest hardcore bands in the Midwest and one of the first to release a record for Touch And Go. Blazing away with the Necros and the Meatmen, The Fix is part of the foundation of what would become Touch And Go. This collection of recordings will be released on both CD and vinyl and includes both early Touch And Go singles, the track from the "Process Of Elimination" track, a few demo tracks from the "Jans Room" sessions and live tracks from a 1981 tour. • THE GERMS | gi | LP

    16.00 incl. tax
(GI) is the debut and only studio album by American punk rock band the Germs recorded in 1978 and released in 1979. Often considered the first hardcore punk album. One of the leading bands of the ’70s Los Angeles punk scene, the Germs (Darby Crash, Pat Smear, Lorna Doom, and Don Bolles) only released one studio album before the untimely death of lead singer Crash at the age of 22. Equal parts Sex Pistols and Iggy Pop, the band’s legendary live shows bordered on chaos, with Crash having a tendency to cover himself with whatever food was located nearby while diving into the crowd whenever possible. The lone album the band did manage to record, (GI), was produced by Joan Jett and features 16 tracks of unbridled garage-punk bliss. (Fan Club/Unofficial)
  • Originally released a mere eight months after their groundbreaking 1978 self-titled debut LP (RAD 8002LP), The Kids' second album is a pure masterpiece of straightforward punk rock. A little less raw than their previous material, but still far from the new wave sounds the band started experimenting with on their following records, Naughty Kids remains one of the best examples of non-UK '70s punk and definitely a mandatory addition to the collection of any Killed by Death fanatic! This reissue also includes five bonus tracks recorded live in 1978 (RED VINYL LIMITED TO 150) (Radiation Records) https://thekids.bandcamp.com/album/the-kids

THE KIDS | same title | LP

    15.00 incl. tax
Hailing from Antwerp, Belgium, The Kids formed in 1976 to prove to the world that punk was more than just a London vs New York fashion contest. Originally released on the Philips label in 1978, and highly acclaimed as one of the best punk records EVER, The Kids' debut album is now reissued on vinyl, with two bonus tracks recorded in 1977. This is pure and quintessential punk rock. The second release on Radiation Deluxe Series, this classic punk LP is reissued on 180-gram vinyl in a deluxe 350-gram cardboard sleeve. (WHITE VINYL / LIMITED 150) (Radiation Records) https://thekids.bandcamp.com/album/the-kids
  • While Montego Bay natives Jackie Bernard, his brother Footy Bernard and cousin Lloyd Kerr recorded under various guises in the early '60s, their collective arrival as The Kingstonians in 1967 marked a sea change not only in the vocal trio's productivity and popularity, but also in the emerging Reggae sound. The Kingstonians made several chart-topping singles between 1968 and 1970, including the massive hit "Singer Man" whose success ultimately led to the release of their sole LP, Sufferer. Originally issued on Trojan, Sufferer collects a dozen of The Kingstonians' best-known songs. Produced by Derrick Harriott, these truly boss sounds would pack dancehalls on the island as well as become the soundtrack for working-class youth across '70s Britain. The title track remains a classic of the early Reggae era with impeccable arrangements, stuttering organ and soul-steeped lyrics. The Kingstonians' shift away from Rocksteady modes is perhaps most apparent on the aforementioned "Singer Man" – an irresistible forward groove, prompting a deeper danceability that is rightly centered on real feeling. Antarctica Starts Here presents the first-time domestic release of Sufferer. Reproducing the original sleeve design, this reissue is part of an archival series that focuses on Trojan's essential '60s and '70s catalogue. Liner notes by Laurence Cane-Honeysett. (Antarctica Starts Here Records)
  • Black leather, spikes and chains, The Lewd is, as Dirk Dirksen put it, "One of them kind of acts." Their 1982 album, "American Wino," is violent, ugly, perverse and frightening. The songs betray a bleak and ominous vision of American life seen through the eyes of youth without hope of a future. This is not the San Francisco sound of the '60s, but rather the belligerent sounds of these Seattle transplants' fight for survival on the gritty streets where the dejection of last generation's Utopian failures meets the stark realities of economic deprivation. This is fast, jarring and furious punk rock at its finest. Long languishing in obscurity due to its rarity, the reissue of this seminal LP makes it a compulsory component of any punk rock record collection. (Fan Club)

  • I became a fan of The Mojomatics when their last album, Don't Pretend That You Know Me, was released on Alien Snatch records. Their newest release is on a new label, but the hodge podge of sounds that I loved on their last album are present on this record as well. The Mojomatics is a hard band to pin down. They have some straight up pop songs, some harmonica tinged country ramblers and some swamp stomping garage-y blasts. Definitely a band not content writing the same song over and over and it gives the album a fresh & dynamic feel. Rave Up records is proud to announce an LP of one of the greatest US punk bands of early days… THE MOLLS, from Boston!
Led by an electric bassoonist who looked like a cigar-smoking Fidel Castro and spouted lyrics like modern poetry, the Molls were a free-minded group from Boston, playing everything from jazzed rock and punk to space junk. Scream Baby Scream, an anthology, features Molls’ recordings from 1976-1979. The vinyl collection surveys the band’s stylistic battles and includes tracks from their unreleased album for Rat Records, live dates, basement studio, and their still-sought-after, punk-blitz of a single, “Black Sheets, White Stains” – the Molls only previous release. • Nipple Erectors (and their more politely named abbreviation, the Nips) their first ever legitimate LP vinyl. To be fair, we've been asked many times to do reissue the Nips on vinyl down the years. So, what you get on this new Nipathon LP are both sides of each of the group's three Soho singles, each one a perfect example of Great British Punk. Plus you have two tracks - again from the first sessions - that saw light of day for the first time on the vinyl BBB+B. You also get the young Shane MacGowan in fine growling form, a young and renowned punk about town and still very much the "King Of The Bop" rather than the "King Of The (alcoholic) Pop" that he later became in his years as a Professional Irishman and frontsperson of Pogue Mahone/The Pogues. (Now there's a good bit of trivia for you - Shane might well be the only person in the world to have fronted two bands that have had to shorten their name to avoid public outrage, and to get their records played on the radio!). You also get Shane's then best gal Shanne Bradley, fresh from being preserved for posterity (allegedly) as the subject of the Sex Pistols' mighty Satellite and learning to become the pretty good bass player that she eventually did become as a member of the Pogues' 80s contemporaries the Men They Couldn't Hang. You get 20-odd minutes of uproarious music that has stood the test of time rather better than has a lot of 1978's 'new wave' outpourings - including at least two undisputed genre classics in the anthemic (Gab-gab-gab) Gabrielle and the wild garage riffola of All The Time In The World. And, most of all, you get the musical answer to Mr MacGowan's time-honoured question that's been baffling music historians for a quarter of a century, "Why do - theycallmethekingofthabop?" No need to bother with the answers on a postcard. They're all here. Still want bovver? Then you're in the right place for it. Come and have a go if you think you're hard enough... (Ace Records)

  • THE OFFSPRING | smash | LP

The Offspring's metal-inflected punk became a popular sensation in 1994, selling over four million albums on an independent record label. While the group's credentials and approach follow the indie rock tradition of the '80s, sonically they sound more like an edgy, hard-driving heavy metal band, with their precise, pulsing power chords and Dexter Holland's flat vocals. Featuring Holland, guitarist Kevin "Noodles" Wasserman, bassist Greg Kriesel, and drummer Ron Welty, the Offspring released their self-titled debut album in 1989. Four years later, their second album, Ignition, became an underground hit, setting the stage for the across-the-board success of 1994's Smash, which still holds the record as the biggest selling indie release of all time. • Formed in 1977 in Belfast on the Punk Wave scene rapidly emerging from Northern Ireland. Building a strong local following they signed for the Good Vibrations record label. 'Self Conscious Over You' (Good Vibrations, 1979) was recorded over 5 days at Wizard Studios in Belfast in April 1979 and released 3 months later. Official reissue, remastered with lyrics sheet and photos. (Papagájův Hlasatel Records)
  • Finally reissued on vinyl! For their second album, first wave U.K. punks the Outsiders decided to move on from the home-recorded D.I.Y. sound of their first LP and ventured into a proper recording studio for the first time. However, they didn't use the occasion to slather gloss on their music, and while 1978's Close Up does sound cleaner, richer, and more precise than 1977's Calling on Youth, the production is admirably lean and straightforward, and if anything, the arrangements are less tricked up than on the group's debut, with fewer acoustic guitar overdubs and a sleek, speedier approach that makes room for Adrian Borland's guitar heroics. By this point in the Outsiders' career, Borland was reportedly growing tired of the confines of the punk template (he'd break up the band to form the Sound before the year was out), and in many respects, Close Up sounds as much post-punk as punk; there are a few straightforward pogo rockers like "Vital Hours," "Count for Something," and "Out of Place," but the phase-shifted atmospherics and anti-racist lyrics of "White Dept." point to a more musically ambitious vision, while the slower, blues-infused "Keep the Pain Inside" snubs its nose at punk orthodoxy, and the nervous social commentary of "Semi-Detached Life" and "Conspiracy of War" are short on sloganeering and long on thoughtful observations of an off-kilter world. While Borland was clearly feeling his oats as a soloist, his melodies here are smart, strong, and to the point, while his vocals are effective and free of pretense, and bassist Bob Lawrence and drummer Adrian James are a splendid rhythm section, adding just the right amount of texture and color while driving the songs with authority and no-frills style. Close Up hardly sounds like the work of a band on its last legs; this is powerful, efficient rock & roll that has aged far more gracefully than most of the bands in the U.K. punk class of 1978. • Long time unavailable debut album of The Restarts is now again on vinyl! Fast and energetic punk + excellent lyrics, that is The Restarts. (Papagájův Hlasatel Records) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hf6SyjnHxMg
  • The sixth album from UK based politically charged punk band The Restarts. Their time, toil and devotion to empowering and improving the lives of people, locally and globally - both as a band, and as individuals in the work they do outside of the band is something not to be ignored. Their usual brand remains solid relentless thrash punk, ska anthems and back to basics old school punk. (Pirates Press Records) https://therestarts.bandcamp.com/album/uprising
  • Drawn up by some of the most unsavory souls in the Boston, MA underground hardcore scene and reinforced by members who have done time in infamous area bands like Mind Eraser, Righteous Jams, Mental, XfilesX and many others, The Rival Mob have become the darlings of the current hardcore scene, inspiring shameless violence and playing high on the bill at the most important hardcore festivals in America: This Is Hardcore in Philadelphia, Sound And Fury in California, and Chaos in Tejas in Austin, TX. In between serving time with their current other projects World War 4, Give, No Tolerance, and Boston Strangler, the band will be playing on both coasts highlighted once again by the big summer festivals as well as their first-ever trip across the Atlantic to Europe. The band's Revelation Records debut picks up right where their previous EP, "Hardcore For Hardcore," left off, with vocalist Brendan Radigan spewing venom at the ills that plague both the outside world and the scene itself, all delivered over fast, stage dive-inspiring hardcore that brings to mind the best of mid-to-late '80s New York hardcore bands like Youth Of Today, Warzone, and Breakdown. Vinyl version includes digital download. (Revelation Records)

IN THE SUMMER is a collection of eight songs recorded on four track reel to reel during 1977, and then four more during 1978. They were a band that came together in the early Toronto punk/new wave scene, fronted by dual excellent singer-songwriters, and became a great band that was even more underground than the others there at that time. This legendary anthology includes fan-favorites “Do The Wait,” “O Boy,” “Wild Trout,” “I Killed Marx” and the title track. (Rave Up Records) https://thescenics.bandcamp.com/album/in-the-summer
