• Originally released in 1995 this was their first album for three years and their first album of new TVPs material on Overground Records, who had previously issued two live albums, and reissued nine of their singles. Featuring eleven new tracks, the album was recorded by Liam Watson at Toe Rag Studios and was a marked change of direction from the highly polished ‘Closer To God’. “I wanted to get back to basics and recapture the spirit of the first two albums that were low budget and recorded quickly, that’s how all our best records were made” Dan Treacy 1995 Re-packaged with new artwork from the original artist Alison Wonderland and sleeve notes by Edward Ball (TVPs/The Times) the album will teach the kids of today everything they need to know about how to become a mod. What more could they want? “If you’re a Mod, you’re a Mod twenty four hours a day, even working with other people, you’re still a Mod. Some of them just can’t understand older men with homes and families, it’s just a different world, but I’m past it now, I’m too old You’ve got to be sixteen to be a Mod, to be able to wear high heeled boots and long hair and not care what anyone thinks” Dan Treacy 1995 This was the last TVPs album of original material. Albums since have been either compilations or consisted of cover versions, and as such ‘I Was A Mod Before You Was A Mod’ remains a remarkable testament to an extraordinary talent. • In 1981 three lads in Pavenham, Bedfordshire aged 14 to 17 decide to form a punk band. They soon discover Crass and the burgeoning anarchy-punk movement and this influences them both politically and musically. In 1982 they record seven tracks and release it as a cassette titled Another Disaster and later that year another five tracks are recorded with two of the tracks appearing on the highly successful 1983 Pax compilation Bollox to the Gonads Here's the Testicles alongside Flux of Pink Indians, Dead Kennedys etc. The same demo tape gets them two tracks on each of two American compilation albums: Compulsory Overtime (Diesen Records) and Empty Skulls Vol. 2 (Fartblossom Records) by now interest in the band is snowballing and they record six more songs that appear on Colin Jerwood’s (conflict / mortarhate) new label Fight Back as the undesirable guest 12”. The record was a huge success and Colin asked them to record a song for the compilation: We don’t want your fucking war. Their track sea of desecration became probably their best known song. In spring 1985 the band recorded an album. unfortunately they had no way of paying for it. After discussions with red rhino and the cartel who suggested the band set up their own label -- which they promised to bankroll -- prison of life was released on Trash records in Autumn 1985. This early part of their career is all chronicled on this compilation. 26 tracks from the early part of this 80s anarcho punk band’s career. Includes their ‘Prison of Life’ album, their first demo tape, compilation appearances and 7 unreleased studio recordings. (Overground Records)

  • Star Club, wow…most people slag this band as nothing but a 2-Bit, Japanese Sex Pistols knock-off. Their image & visual style is no argument against this opinion, but it is NOT AT ALL accurate for their musical style! Originally formed in the city of Nagoya sometime in 1977, they have the dubious distinction of being the FIRST Japanese punk band, ever. one could definately dispute this statement, but whatever…thats what the history books claim. • Cleveland power-pop punk trio Beatnik Termites was another group of Ramones fanatics that merged a heavy Ramones influence with a love of surf rock; their caustic pop melodies and ironic, stinging lyrics turning the soft underbelly of pop music on its head, yielding a sound that had tinges of innocence, beneath a knowing, thrash-rock wink. Front man Pat Kim (AKA Pat Termite) started the band back in 1987 with drummer Reggie Silvestri and bassist Brian McCafferty, the group was reputedly a favourite of Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain according to his diaries. This is a limited reissue of their hyper rare debut 6 tracks 12", whose original copies are impossibile to find for decent prices online. All Ramones maniacs now can fill that hole in their collection thanks to the Hey Suburbia label. LIMITED EDITION OF 300 COPIES, FULLY REMASTERED SOUND, COLOR VINYL. (Hey Suburbia Records)
  • Originally released in 1985, this is the sole album by Tony Cadenas' own The Abandoned, the band he formed after the Adolescents original break up in 1981. Sounding a lot like Tony's original band but with an heavier Germs influence, and a more metallic, darker, almost Motörhead-esque touch. As long as Adolescents got back on track, right before releasing their mid '80s comeback masterpiece 'Brats In Battalions' this obscure page of California punk rock history got completely forgotten and was never reopened until today. A band that really pushed the boundaries for the time while sticking to their roots, something most bands were not able to do. A must for all California punk rock maniacs out there!

  • The Black Keys’ long-awaited ninth studio album, "Let’s Rock," their first in five years, is a return to the straightforward rock of the singer / guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney’s early days as a band. Auerbach says, “When we’re together we are The Black Keys, that’s where that real magic is, and always has been since we were sixteen.” The album includes the hit single "Lo/Hi". Let’s Rock was written, tracked live, and produced by Auerbach and Carney at Easy Eye Sound studio in Nashville and features backing vocals from Leisa Hans and Ashley Wilcoxson. “The record is like a homage to electric guitar,” says Carney. “We took a simple approach and trimmed all the fat like we used to. Marquee Moon is a revolutionary album, but it's a subtle, understated revolution. Without question, it is a guitar rock album -- it's astonishing to hear the interplay between Tom Verlaine and Richard Lloyd -- but it is a guitar rock album unlike any other. Where their predecessors in the New York punk scene, most notably the Velvet Underground, had fused blues structures with avant-garde flourishes, Television completely strip away any sense of swing or groove, even when they are playing standard three-chord changes. Marquee Moon is comprised entirely of tense garage rockers that spiral into heady intellectual territory, which is achieved through the group's long, interweaving instrumental sections, not through Verlaine's words. That alone made Marquee Moon a trailblazing album -- it's impossible to imagine post-punk soundscapes without it. Of course, it wouldn't have had such an impact if Verlaine hadn't written an excellent set of songs that conveyed a fractured urban mythology unlike any of his contemporaries. From the nervy opener, "See No Evil," to the majestic title track, there is simply not a bad song on the entire record. And what has kept Marquee Moon fresh over the years is how Television flesh out Verlaine's poetry into sweeping sonic epics. It is impossible that 'post punk' would have happened without this album. (Eletra/Rhino Records)
  • Television were part of the late-'70s punk nucleus that put New York's CBGB club on the map. Driven by Tom Verlaine's raw-nerve songwriting and both his and Richard Lloyd's guitar playing - dual strands of slashing hooks and cathartic riffs - their music is spare yet structurally complex, artistic yet unpretentious. Among rock's true innovators, Television put a new face on punk and influenced everything from New Wave to jam-rock. Adventure is the band's second album and the follow-up to their critically acclaimed debut, Marquee Moon. Four of the songs, Foxhole, Ain't That Nothing, Careful and The Dream's Dream were older compositions from the band's live set. (Rhino Records)
  • In Through the Out Door is the eighth and final studio album by the English rock band Led Zeppelin. It was recorded over a three-week period in November and December 1978 at ABBA's Polar Studios in Stockholm, Sweden, and released by Swan Song Records on 15 August 1979. This is the final album released prior to the death of drummer John Bonham in 1980, shortly after which the group decided to disband. The original album had an outer sleeve which was made to look like a plain brown paper bag. Each cover showed an alternate angle of a man in a bar. The scenario has been photographed from 6 different viewpoints within the bar and then 6 different sleeve variations have been created (with the letters A - F at the top of the spine denoting each variation). The inner sleeve features a 'magic' ink in different colours which appear on the design when gently wetting. Comes in a brown paper bag. (Swan Song/2015)

  • Resistance Radio: The Man In The High Castle Album is a musical companion to the hit Amazon Prime Video Original Series "The Man in The High Castle," based on author Philip K. Dick's award-winning book. Set in 1962, the series explores an alternative history of what it would be like if the Allied Powers had actually lost WWII, and Japan and Germany ruled the United States. In the storyline, the Germans now have control the Eastern seaboard, the Japanese the west coast, and in between is a small strip of land controlled by neither. This neutral zone is the refuge of holdouts, revolutionaries and rebels trying to keep the American dream alive through both active and passive resistance, and from where Resistance Radio is broadcasting. Resistance Radio: The Man In The High Castle Album is produced and curated by Danger Mouse and Sam Cohen, and is the imagined soundtrack to the series, and features 18 songs from 1962 to coincide with theme of show. Bringing together the talents of today s most popular Indie and Alternative artists, the project features Beck, Kelis, Norah Jones, The Shins, Angel Olsen, Benjamin Booker, Karen O, and many more. The pilot episode "The Man In The High Castle" premiered in January of 2015, and was Amazon's 'most watched since the original series development program began.' The series was immediately picked up for a full 10 episode season that began airing in November of 2015. A second 10 episode season premiered in December of 2016, and in early 2017 Amazon announced it had renewed the series for a third season. (Columbia/2017)
  • The compilation album Heures sans Soleil was originally released in October 1985 in an edition of 1000 copies. It was the fourth vinyl release on LTM, the label I founded while still at school in Edinburgh, and followed on from singles by Minny Pops and A Primary Industry, as well a live album by Crispy Ambulance. . . . I can't claim the idea of an artsy cosmopolitan compilation album was terribly original. I was 19 years old at the time, and still deep in the thrall of earlier Crépuscule collections such as From Brussels With Love and The Fruit of the Original Sin." Includes extended liner notes by James Nice. Released in collaboration with LTM/James Nice. 180-gram vinyl. Includes tracks by Section 25, Anti-Group, Minny Pops, Tuxedomoon, Mazowsze, Eric Random, Dislocation Dance, The Happy Family, Section 25 , Crispy Ambulance, and A Primary Industry. • Bob Marley and The Wailers are the most legendary figures to emerge from Jamaican popular music, a trio of icons that brough reggae to the broader public consciousness and helped the Rastafari faith to spread outside of their native island. Robert Nesta Marley, Peter McIntosh and Neville O’Riley Livingston, AKA Bunny Wailer, are responsible for our understanding of reggae music itself, as well as the now-global movement of Rastafari consciousness and the general popular culture of Jamaica in a way unlike that of any of their peers. This retrospective on their 70's production, packed in a collectable double vinyl set, provide a tantalizing glimpse of the international stardom that would soon be achieved by the group, charting some particularly fertile and evolutionary phases of their formative years. Limited double LP on color vinyl, one green and one red vinyl, comes with extensive liner notes by David Katz, out for Record Store Day 2020. (Radiation Records)

Recorded at Tim Green's LOUDER STUDIOS during various sessions between 2004-2005, this record is the last chapter of Dystopia's existence writing bleak and heavy doom ridden punk. • MARTHE is the solo project of Marzia, worldwide known for being Horror Vacui's guitar player and for drumming in Kontatto, Tuono, Campus Sterminii, Death From Above, Doxie and countless other bands. Between one practice and another with the aforementioned bands, she found the time to sit down by herself and record the tunes that became the "Sisters Of Darkness" demo tape, self-released a year ago and then repressed on tape by Caligari Records (USA). I'm personally not too much into metal, but the four songs on this demo blew my minds and I think they deserve to be released on vinyl too. Fans of Bathory's second wave will love this one so much that Marzia will be crowned as the Queen of Valkyrian Metal. Everything on this record has been written, performed and mixed by Marzia. Mastered by Jack Control at Enormous Door . Limited to 300 hand numbered copies on Ivory White Colored Vinyl, the first 100 will come with a nice embroidered patch. (Agipunk Records)
  • The wait was long, but now it's ready! A dignified follow-up of their first album! An intense Dolp from this dark crust band from Gothenburg. I haven't really enough words to describe this brutal yet twisted attack on my eardrums. Eight songs in just over 72 minutes(!) of death and blackmetal gloom with a healthy dose of crust punk influences leaving me speechless. The Double Lp comes in a beautiful gatefold with a foldout insert. CD version is being released in the US by Profane Existence. (Skuld Records)
  • The entire discography of this shortlived but influential early nineties anarcho punk band from Glasgow, Scotland. This is fast-paced and shredding anarcho punk with little excursions into the crust-punk genre here and there. Dual fe/male vocals and alot of (sadly still) lyrical topics of todays society. DISAFFECT releases most their material via NABATE RECORDS from Belgium as well as FLAT EARTH RECORDS from the UK. Both labels were pioneering the nineties DIY punk wave alot with bands like ONE BY ONE, HIATUS, SEDITION, UNHINGED etc etc. DISAFFECT stopped playing in 1994 and members moved on to other projects such as SCATHA and QUARANTINE. In 2019 the band reformed with a new rhythm section to play occassionally the one or the other festival. The DISAFFECT discography includes the "An Injury To One..." 7" EP from 1992, the split 7" with SEDITION from 1993, the "Home Of The Brave" 7"EP from 1993 (reissued 3 times!) and their 1994 released debut LP "Chained To Morality" as well as the ultra rare split 7" with BIZARRE UPROAR also from 1994. As a bonus you will find the best tracks of the 1991 "Demotape" with the missing tracks available as download. Housed in a beatifully crafted Gatefold-sleeve with additional 16 pages booklet including lyrics and linernotes. THIS PRESSING IS LIMITED TO 550 COPIES (Ruin nation Records) https://ruinnationrecords.bandcamp.com/album/still-chained-discography

Tosh also established himself as a successful solo artist. In 1978 he was contracted by Rolling Stones Records and the album Bush Doctor was released in the same year, introducing Tosh to a larger audience. The single from the album, a cover version of The Temptations song “Don't Look Back”, performed as a duet with Mick Jagger, made Tosh one of the best-known reggae artists. Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards is also featured on the album, playing guitar on “Bush Doctor” and “Stand Firm”. • AVENGERS | avengers | LP

    25.00 incl. tax
In the late '70s, The Avengers established themselves as one of the US's preeminent punk bands. Fusing incisive guitar hooks, explosive rhythms and adolescent venom, the group forged some of the most in-your-face songs of the era. Their live shows were legendary, playing up and down the West Coast and even blowing Sex Pistols off the stage at the latter's final performance. As Byron Coley writes in the liner notes, "Of the best bands of San Francisco's first wave in 1977, The Avengers were by far the coolest and youngest sounding. They roared without irony, as though this were indeed Year Zero (and, for a moment, it was) with history being overwritten by the new. The honesty of their belief was carried by their sound. And it was convincing!" Originally released in 1983, four years after the band's dissolution, The Avengers' self-titled LP is often referred to as "The Pink Album" for its magenta-hued cover design. Frontwoman Penelope Houston's iconic voice and razor-sharp lyrics resonate on anthems "We Are The One" and "The American In Me," while penetrating ballads like "Corpus Christi" reveal a truly out-of-body euphony. The Pink Album remains The Avengers' definitive statement – collecting their classic Dangerhouse EP, sessions recorded with the Pistols' Steve Jones and a half-dozen revelatory demos. While much has been written about The Avengers in the past three decades, rock critic Greil Marcus puts it succinctly, "The word I always come back to is mystical, and that remains almost theirs alone." Everybody's heard about the bird - so say The Trashmen and a fitting opener for 14 of the most deranged tracks that you can find. One of the best selling Big Beat releases, this LP is a tribute to the sheer insanity of rock & roll. The Sonics "Psycho", The Novas - "The Crusher", Legendary Stardust Cowboy - "Paralysed" - the titles say it all. Link Wray chewing the blues and spitting out Willie Dixon's "Hidden Charms" (charms??????!!!) and our very own Milkshakes taking on the aforementioned Link Wray on "Run Chicken Run". Apart from that you still get The Cramps with Jimmy Dickinson ripping up Sonny Burgess's "Red Headed Woman", Britain's psychobilly kings The Meteors with a live "My Daddy Is A Vampire" and "Radioactive Kid" along with the late great Gun Club, Tav Falco's Panther Burns with their finest destructobilly and two other bands of this parish the Sting-Rays and The Guana Batz.
