WILD AS ALL FUCKING GET OUT! Debut album by Kohti Tuhoa, a wild Finnish hardcore group with members of Kylmä Sota among others. Naming Framtid and Rattus as principal influences, the quartet knocked many a punk fan out with their debut 7" EP last year. This full length album is taking things closer to the limit and pushing them over the edge. Vocalist Helenas' vocals are some of the most unhinged, maniacal evocations heard since early era Negazione! Label: Southern Lord

Two blinking new tracks by The Ex: direct, urgent, wilful and joyfully obstinate. Recorded in the rehearsal room in three hours and mixed in two: fat -free and no words wasted. “How Thick You Think” is inspired by the short film “Neighbours” (Norman McLaren, 1952). The story is a parable about two people who come to blows over the possession of a flower. The sentence "I think food with music means peace" comes from a painting by Lucebert. “That's Not A Virus” builds on a typical Ex beat: a melodic and unique rhythm, freshly pulled out of the Dutch clay, sounding as if it already exists for 2000 years. The lyrics work like a crack in the wall through which you look at the space between people; what people reveal of themselves, show to each other and the categorical insecurity that comes with it. Recorded at the Jottem! Studio in Wormerveer, November 27, 2013. (EX Records)

Out of stockThis new 7” single release is a musical cooperation between The Ex and the Ethiopian acoustic band Fendika. The Ex has a long history with Ethiopian music and has worked together with Fendika for 6 years on many European and American festivals and also in Ethiopia. Slowly they've grown closer and the result is stunnning: the typical Ex rhythms and riffs, combined with traditional instruments (one string masinko, kobero drums) and the great voice of singer Nardos. “Addis Hum” is based on “Gue”, a traditional Ethiopian Gurage song. “Lale Guma” is a song by Ayalew Mesfin and the Fetan Band. “Shellelle” is a traditional war cry. Both are chants which narrate the battles and account for the heroes, sung to boost confidence and inspiration. Recorded at the Next To Jaap Studio, Voorhout (NL) by Corno Zwetsloot and Gavin McDowall on June 16, 2014. (EX Records)

Cryptic Cross Words is the 5th album that Paranoid Visions have released since their 2006 reboot. Add to this the multitude of singles and a myriad of historical re-releases and compilations and it becomes clear that Paranoid Visions are a band who are not content to sit back and relax or attempt to trade on past glories. Indeed founder members Deko and P.A are of the opinion that there are no past glories with the recent releases being more reflective of what the band were about in the first place. Cryptic Cross Words, a culmination of a year’s recording and writing is an attempt to craft a specific album with a specific modus operandi. “With every release we have done, there has always been a compromise, and certain styles or genres we have wanted to explore have been almost achieved, but not executed the way we imagined them … until now”. Switching rhythm section and losing a backing vocalist in early 2014 gave the band the opportunity to form the perfect line-up and create what the band believe is best album they have ever made. It’s certainly a more focussed and strategic release that relies on soundscapes and moods that co-exist with the various musical genres the band continues to dip into. But it explores these cohesively with production that has been described by one early reviewer as being “crisp but avoids the sheen of the nu”. Certainly this album owes as much to UK Decay as it does to UK Subs, or is “more magazine than fanzine”. Lyrically the album is tackling different subjects ranging from the Catholic church’s abuse of children, invasion in the Ukraine, sexual harmony, working culture and the voice of the downtrodden public on the verge of snapping. In the case of Anagram Sam the lyrics consist entirely of anagrams (Anagram Sam, he’s one of those NAMELESS SALESMEN, his LIFE is a FILE of anagrams, he’s the SENATOR for TREASON etc etc….you get the picture!!) whilst the album’s closer, “baNAMA Republic” is a delicate slow building acoustic song spanning seven minutes and sung by Aoife Destruction detailing the fall of the Irish economy and the corruption that facilitated it. Out of stockThe wolves are back in town -- yeah! This is their best release to date. Better vocals, better songs, better sound than before. This record is a step up from their already amazing LP of last year. This ep brings four new songs that are somewhat influenced by japanese hardcore but BURIAL have found a style of their own that is just totally driving, extremely powerful hardcore punk. Simple as that. It would be great if japan these days had more bands as good as BURIAL. To top it off, japanese punk artist sugi did the front cover artwork. After their successful European tour in November 2014 HeartFirst Records is proud to release the new 7 EP by LIFE from Japan entitled “Proof of Survival”. LIFE hail from Tokyo and their name stands for “Liberty Independence Freedom Equality”. The band has been around since the early 90s and released their first demo in 1993. Their releases have been hard to find in Europe, but this changes now since at the same time as the new EP on HeartFirst, LA VIDA ES UN MUS from England is rereleasing their debut LP entitled “The World Lies Across Them“. LIFE’s “Proof of Survival” EP offers four songs of blown out yet rocking hardcore punk — three fast smashers on one side and and a long track on the flipside. After KRIEGSHÖG in 2008 this is finally a new release by a Japanese band on HeartFirst. Also Nori, who currently plays bass in LIFE, has been playing on the first release ever on HeartFirst, the debut EP by NUKEY PIKES. So he is one of the oldest members of the HeartFirst family. Out of stockKriegshög is a raw hardcore/d-beat punk band from Tokyo, Japan. This 7" EP was released in 2008 by Hardcore Survives. "Re-release of their debut EP with new artwork and one extra song. One of the most amazing bands in recent times and one of the hottest new bands from Japan at the moment. The original sold out instantly in February 2008. Here is what MRR hat to say about the original version: I am almost left speechless on how fucking good this record is. the ultra-hardcore brutal legion needs to maim and murder to get this record ‘cuz it fucking kills an I heard it is already long gone. ok, what does it sound like, you may ask? driving, fist-pumping hardcore with loads of distortion, ferocious drumming, and vocals that drive right through my skull. side one paints a picture for you by having some war-time sample – ya know, gunfire and commotion followed by a sic-year-old girl’s blood-curdling scream – then in comes the audio assault. killer!” – (Martin Sorrondeguy, Maximum Rocknroll No. 300). A lot has happened in the 3 years since the "futuro primitivo" 7" dropped in correlation with the band's 2016 Japanese tour, and now VAASKA returns to a world that's worse off with what could possibly be their final statement in the form of the "inocentes condenados" 7". Six tracks of smoldering, d-beat-based hardcore-punk which could arguably be the greatest recording session of their 10+ years as a band. Limited edition of 500 copies. (HeartFirst Records)

Tokyo, Japan's Forward formed in 1996 after the break up of legendary Tokyo Hardcore band DEATHSIDE, with Lead singer Ishiya and Bassist You to start a new band that would continue "Forward" with new Punk sounds. These guys have delivered supercharged, balls-to-the-wall hardcore punk since the late 90's and never show signs of fatigue. These dudes absolutely shred and are in your face with thrashing punk riffs, dirty bass tones, barbaric drums and insane vocal snarls from DEATHSIDE's Ishiya. (Farewell Records)

Out of stockThree years after their second album “Return Of The Empire”, the italian Vampire punx combo returns with their new full length „New Wave of Fear’’. The tunes got darker and less punk than their previous releases but, all in all, the formula hasn’t changed too much, and, hell yeah, this is a concept album about life and death. The A side has been named “This Side” and deals with things that belong to the world we’re living (immigration, the rise of the extreme right wing parties, terror, life in general etc.). The B side has been named “Other Side” and it’s all dedicated about death. It’s a more intense record and definitely better than their old ones, and you can also hear the crusty roots of some of the members in their last song where Amebix and Fields Of The Nephilim meet in a no men’s land to face the end of it all. Tracks A1 to B4 recorded and mixed at Ink Studio on 26/29 November 2017. Track B5 recorded on a 4 tracks deck at Maple Death cellar on 17 November 2016. Originally performed by Wretched, it appears on the "Die Schwartzen Keller Session" flexi single released by the band itself for the 2017 U.S. tour. Tracklist A1 Intro 1:09 A2 Grey Shadows 4:43 A3 New Wave Of Fear 3:55 A4 Forward 4:36 A5 We Are The Ones 4:19 B6 On The Other Side 4:46 B7 Behind 3:51 B8 Don't Dance With Me 2:10 B9 Upside Down 3:50 B10 Democrazia Recorded By – Jonathan Clancy, Nico Pasquini 2:04 Limited to 200 copies. One of the most extreme and poweful records ever on Havoc. Martyrdöd unleash intense raw Swedish hardcore with some Black Metal influences. Ultra powerful metallic käng that drags you into a world of darkness, anger and despair. This band released a crushing LP on Plague Bearer and a split 7" with Sunday Morning Einsteins. Guitarist Micke went on to play in Skitsystem. This band has a distinct style within the strong tradition of Swedish hardcore. The riffs are raw and powerful, with haunting melody over a storm of raw sonic shrapnel. Two guitars trade off sledgehammer riffs and driving melodic leads. The vocals are searing and raw shouts of rage against the horror of 21st century industrial terror and war. This LP is a titanic blast of raw käng power. (Plague Bear)
