The beyond legendary, totally immortal, Washington D.C. via NYC Rastafarian hardcore and reggae group Bad Brains released their self-titled debut album in January of 1982 on ROIR and performed some of their very first West Coast gigs later that year. The Old Waldorf, at that point owned by Bill Graham, originally opened in 1976 and was host to some of the Bay's most legendary early punk shows featuring The Avengers, The Dead Boys, The Dead Kennedys, and others. Bad Brains played their patented blend of hardcore punk and dub/roots reggae to a packed and frenzied crowd at The Old Waldorf on October 20th, 1982, a now historical live radio broadcast presented here in stunning sound quality on HQ 140 gram vinyl. • Rock for Light is the second full-length album by Bad Brains, released in 1983. It was produced by Ric Ocasek of The Cars. We’re proud to present the original mix of the album, for the first time in decades, as the band originally intended. Most fans will be more familiar with the 1991 reissue, which was remixed by Ocasek and bass player Darryl Jenifer. In addition to new mixes, that version used an altered track order. This reissue marks the fourth release in the remaster campaign, re-launching the Bad Brains Records label imprint. In coordination with the band, Org Music has overseen the restoration and remastering of the iconic Bad Brains’ recordings. The audio was mastered by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering and pressed at Furnace Record Pressing. This is the classic album from 1982. Virtually everyone agrees that this group made up of 4 DC African American. They radically quickened punk's tempos, added virtuoso instrumentation, and topped it all off with the mystic squeals of frontman Paul "H.R." Hudson. This release gives voice to the band's scathing sociopolitical judgment as well as its ability to simply put the hammer down and rock. It also allows the rhythm section of Darryl Jenifer and Earl Hudson to flex their muscle on a smattering of dub-reggae interludes that help lull the unsuspecting into the right frame of mind for the next hardcore punch. Bad Brains is the self-titled debut studio album recorded by American hardcore punk/reggae band Bad Brains. Recorded in 1981 and released on (then) cassette-only label ROIR on February 5, 1982, many fans refer to it as "The Yellow Tape" because of its yellow packaging. Though Bad Brains had recorded the 16 song Black Dots album in 1979 and the 5-song Omega Sessions EP in 1980, the ROIR cassette was the band's first release of anything longer than a single. This reissue marks the second release in the remaster campaign, re-launching the Bad Brains Records label imprint. In coordination with the band, Org Music has overseen the restoration and remastering of the iconic Bad Brains’ recordings. The audio was mastered by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering and pressed at Furnace Record Pressing. (Bad Brains Records ‎/ ORG Music)
• Bad Religion began in the sprawling suburbs surrounding Los Angeles, with the teenage punks offering an impassioned counterpoint to a culture of consumerism and anti-intellectualism. Founding members Greg Graffin, Brett Gurewitz, and Jay Bentley were eventually joined by guitarists Brian Baker of Minor Threat, Mike Dimkich of The Cult, and drummer Jamie Miller of …And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead. Bad Religion have been highly influential force in modern punk, producing beloved international hits like Infected, 21st Century (Digital Boy), and Sorrow, and building a devoted worldwide following. Bad Religion are set to release their new album Age of Unreason, which can be described as “a musical manifesto on the current political landscape.” In a world still brimming with rampant anti-intellectualism, inequality and oppression, the band’s signature brand of sonically charged humanist dissent seems as relevant as ever. With printed inner sleeve with band info + pics, and large fold-out insert with lyrics. 180gr vinyl. (Epitaph Records)
  • "No Control" is one of the albums that helped bridge Bad Religion's more reckless, earlier direction with their more focused (but just as pissed-off) '90s-era with the strength of such cuts as "Big Bang," "Automatic Man," the title track and "I Want To Conquer The World." "No Control" is one of the band's best all-time albums and an archetypal blueprint for the genre. Bad Religion has been setting the standard for years; this album is yet another stone in the band's long road to identity and style. (Epitaph Records/2004)

  • Punk rock Pioneers Bad Religion have released their sixteenth studio album on Epitaph Records. The new album, already a favorite among fans, has been greeted with worldwide critical acclaim and praise. Produced by the band and Joe Barresi, True North celebrates the power of cogent punk in the face of personal pain and adversity. On the new album, the storied band deliberately revisits and refines the powerful and melodic Southern California sound they helped to define. “We went back to our original mission statement of short concise bursts of melody and message,” co-songwriter and guitarist Brett Gurewitz explains. “The intent was to record stripped down punk songs without sacrificing any conceptual density. • Sometimes being a Washington DC insider means access to political movers and shakers--sometimes, as in the case of photographer Cynthia Connolly, it means access to a great collection of photographs from the glory days of DC hardcore punk. Taken both by Connolly and an assortment of punk enthusiasts, BANNED IN DC is a set of vibrant shots that portray the anarchic spirit, pure energy, and camaraderie of the DC scene in a series of 450 black and white photographs. Major figures in the hardcore movement, like Dischord Records co-owner and then-Minor Threat member Ian MacKaye and Bad Brains vocalist HR, share space with naked musicians, ubiquitous scenesters, shaven-headed audience members, and riotous punks, in a freewheeling combination of pictures and quotes. Vividly capturing the scene's idealistic intensity, BANNED IN DC is an invaluable document of Washington hardcore's exuberance and aspirations.

    BANNLYST | diskografi | LP

    16.00 incl. tax
After various horrible bootlegs, here is the official version: The “Diskografi” LP has their songs from the split tape with ANGOR WAT (Knall Tapes, 1984), their 7″ songs (1985), “Terrorstyre” (from the “Nå Eller Aldri” 7″ compilation) and “Louie Louie” from an early demo tape recording. A total of 24 songs in 44 minutes with some of the best 1980s hardcore punk that ever came out of Europe. Some folks say that their EP from the heyday of the mighty X-PORT PLATER label is the best Norwegian punk record ever. Everything on this LP has been carefully remastered from the original cassette tapes and vinyl as all master tapes were lost back in the 80s. (Norwegian Leather Records)
  • Un Último Ultrasonido Nació Y Murió En Barcelona is Barcelona’s sophomore 12” of pure sonic nihilism. A band of highs and lows. High concept as performance and low brow as execution. In my eyes Barcelona is simply a genius project, capable of create their own universe and vomit all over it. Their formula of distortion to the max, total free-ness and improvisation with regurgitated bass lines and repetitive primitive beats topped with the sharpest and nastiest lyrics as observation of our own futility and misery. In their own universe you can find Hermann Nitsch, or the entire catalogue of ESP Disks hanging out with Manolo Kabezabolo and Eskorbuto. Probably without them being aware of it. All of the above is what you’ll find in the 13 songs on this disturbing record wrapped around again in artwork but the last artist on earth Oriol Roca. (La Vida Es Un Mus Records)
  • BARREN? comes out of the greyness of a sick world in which we have to build hope by ourselves. Between urban drifts and authority abuses, voices can still resonate and this record proves it. BARREN? cultivates a great sense of both melancholy and uprising. The band may remind you the darker acts of the UK anarcho punk scene such as THE MØB just to name one. Those familiar with the Parisian DIY punk scene have probably seen BARREN? playing live with one of the different line-ups they had through the years. The band is now a three pieces and seems to have found the perfect brew. We’re happy to help these sincere guys and friends to release their first full length. The record comes in a poster sleeve with great Orwellian artwork by Barreto. (Destructure Records)
  • The split kicks off with the very strange yet incredibly interesting Bastard Noise side of things, whose music is basically a mishmash of powerviolence, noisecore, ambient and electronic music. It’s definitely unique as far as most bands go and this split incorporates all of the above in 4 tracks of brutal noise. It’s mid paced and has a lot of tempo changes and different music elements and it’s not what you’d expect, which is never a bad thing. I full enjoyed this side of the split. Moving on to the B-side of the split, Lack of Interest has always tickled my fancy with their fast, filthy and crushing music with a classic feel. It’s all or nothing with these guys and it blasts you to fuck from the word go. It’s most definitely powerviolence done right and it fucking rips into you without any remorse. The songs have a strong misanthropic theme, which tie into drugs and inner-city issues, much like Despise You. It rips to shit and has that old school hardcore sound to it, which definitely reminds me of years past. I would highly recommend this split to fans of Despise You, Man is the Bastard, Infest, Neanderthal, Siege and Spazz. (Deep Six Records)

  • Cleveland power-pop punk trio Beatnik Termites was another group of Ramones fanatics that merged a heavy Ramones influence with a love of surf rock; their caustic pop melodies and ironic, stinging lyrics turning the soft underbelly of pop music on its head, yielding a sound that had tinges of innocence, beneath a knowing, thrash-rock wink. Front man Pat Kim (AKA Pat Termite) started the band back in 1987 with drummer Reggie Silvestri and bassist Brian McCafferty, the group was reputedly a favourite of Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain according to his diaries. This is a limited reissue of their hyper rare debut 6 tracks 12", whose original copies are impossibile to find for decent prices online. All Ramones maniacs now can fill that hole in their collection thanks to the Hey Suburbia label. LIMITED EDITION OF 300 COPIES, FULLY REMASTERED SOUND, COLOR VINYL. (Hey Suburbia Records)
  • In August of 1978, the young and burgeoning scene of Richmond, VA was rocked to it's very core by the untimely and tragic death of Ralph Harper - the frontman for one of the area's earliest punk bands known as RICKY AND THE WHITE BOYS. The city mourned the loss of their 23 year old comrade. Once the grief had subsided enough, Ricky along with a couple of the other members of the White Boys ultimately decided to form a new outfit to pick up where they'd left off. After a slew of auditions with hopeful candidates, they found their new band leader in the form of a Jersey transplant named Christine Gibson who's voice and personality were like none other they'd ever encountered. Earning their band name (which was in honor of the prominent beaks of the majority of the band) via the popular vote of the crowd at their first live gig in December of that same year, what followed was a blur of gigs throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and the creation of catchy and timeless punk songs that went hand in hand with Gibson's inability to even remotely suffer anyone's bullshit - be it from a smart ass in the crowd or within the ranks of her own band. While the latter would lead to some lineup changes in these formative years, little did all involved know that it was the beginning of a rock and roll odyssey that carries on to this very day. This record compiles the band's first couple studio sessions that yielded a pair of classic early American punk singles: 1979's " (My Heart Goes) Beat Beat b/w He Obliterates Me" on Wasp Records and 1982's "Butch b/w Empty House" on the great Zero Degree Records along with unreleased tracks from each session that have been lovingly remixed and remastered by Chris Corry. Each record comes in a stunning gatefold jacket featuring never before seen photographs, flyers and other imagery from four decades ago along with liner notes by founding guitarist Richard "Ricky" Buchanan, all of which give those who are curious a glimpse into the formative years of the mighty BEEX. (Beach Impediment)
