Μια συνεργασία της Labyrinth Of Thoughts και του νέου προσωπικού label του συγκροτήματος, Backstab Records. (Labyrinth Of Thoughts Records)
  • DELUXE VINYL EDITION. Clear vinyl. "Chemical Warfare" is the debut album by Islington punks THE DARK, originally released in 1982. The Dark were similar to The Wall, another band with whom they shared a highly political outlook. The mostly mid-speed music also invites comparisons to Chelsea and the UK Subs. "Chemical Warfare" deserves a lot more credit than nearly all the punk albums it found itself lumped in with. The Dark invested their songs with melody and catchy as hell guitar motifs, and thoughtfully avoided the mindless rage typical of the time. Deluxe vinyl edition includes their "Chemical Warfare" LP (1982) plus 10 bonus songs from singles. (Let Them Eat Vinyl)
  • To be honest, I didn’t expect much if anything from this album. However, once I put it in the player, I was floored. Hail the New Pawn puts these guys right at the upper tier of hardcore/grindcore ranks. It’s a no-brainer. THE DREAM IS DEAD combine grindcore, crust-punk flavorings, and dissonant hardcore into an unrelenting, chaotic anti-establishment beast. They occupy a musical space somewhere between NAPALM DEATH and MISERY INDEX. Seriously, the band hits with every kind of extreme riff they can think of, a barrage of tempo changes, and enough vocal barks to penetrate that thick material we call the “human brain.” Vocalist Clark Giles gives it all he’s got with a great performance. And thankfully, he doesn’t sound like 1,000 other hardcore vocalists. Another strength of Hail the New Pawn lays in the feel. While the songs communicate an immediate feel of brutality and unrelenting attitude, there is also an ominous air to them. To top things off, the production work was by none other than Alex Newport (THEORY OF RUIN/ex-FUDGE TUNNEL/NAILBOMB). The production is nothing short of crystal clear, powerful, and balanced especially for the drums. The bottom line is that you need to do yourself a favor and check out one of the best albums of the year. Limited to 100 copies, Clear w/ Red Splatter. (Escape Artist Records)
  • 'Type Foundry Session I' is an LP collection of The Estranged's first recording sessions at Type Foundry Studios in Portland, OR, totalling eight songs, all released as 7" tracks, most of which are now out of print. This record showcases the band's distinct style of omnimous, dark punk at their most raw and urgent, mixing The Cure, Wire, Joy Division and Christian Death and giving the end result a modern feel. • FINALLY!!! Re-released on vinyl after 40 years! "Disturbing Domestic Peace, The Ex's debut album, appeared mere months after their first single, 1980's All Corspes Smell The Same. Originally released on the band's own Verrecords (they made up different label names with each record), the LP falls squarely within a punk idiom and, at the same time, shows this influential Dutch group's restless energy. Terrie Ex's guitar serves up vectors of percussive pulse, fraying the edges of the music's squared-off rhythms. Vocalist G.W. Sok – an anarchist Dziga Vertov with a mic – observes, declaims and condemns across a set of interrelated political concerns that would return in Ex-music for years to come. While The Ex channel the poise and principled attack of Crass or Flux Of Pink Indians, they create a unique declamatory sound all their own – trailing brilliant flashes of color in the wake of punk's monochrome palette. Offering ten songs in only twenty-two minutes, Disturbing Domestic Peace lays bare a vivid snapshot of a truly singular band who (at the time) were just finding their feet." This first-time vinyl reissue comes with bonus 7-inch, inserts and 20-page booklet. LP Track Listing: The Sky Is Blue Again Map Outlook-Army Sucking Pig A Sense Of Tumour Meanwhile Rules Squatsong Warning-Shot New Wars Bonus 7-inch Track Listing: Introduction Human Car Punk Horse Terrie (guitar), G.W. Sok (vocals), Bas (bass), Ome Geurt (drums). Recorded at Joke's Koeienverhuurbedrijf, Schellingwoude, Netherlands. Produced by Dolf Planteijdt. (The Ex Records/Superior Viaduct Records)
  • FINALLY!!! Re-released on vinyl after almost 40 years! "Originally released in 1982, History Is What's Happening features one of the most harrowing title/cover art combinations in recent memory. What at first glance looks like a firing squad is, upon closer inspection, a concentration camp orchestra. On their second album, The Ex advance into a distinctly more post-punk style: textural guitar shards and tumbling motorik drumming with Bas Masbeck's thunderous bass shouldering much of the melodic load. Railing against political duplicity and the illusory nature of "freedom" in an age of manufactured consent, G.W. Sok offers some of punk's most bracing and memorable agitprop lyrics. These twenty songs are a quick-moving and caustic trip, a DIY studio rendition of the band's explosive live set from this era. History Is What's Happening remains an important signpost in the history of both Ex-evolution and the cataclysmic '80s. With their sophomore LP, the group would put Holland on the underground music map. Indeed, many now-lifelong fans around the world were just beginning to take notice and get down with the mighty Ex." This first-time vinyl reissue comes with 23" x 16" poster and 24-page booklet. Terrie (guitar), G.W. Sok (vocals), Bas (bass), Wim (drums). Recorded at Joke's Koeienverhuurbedrijf, Schellingwoude, Netherlands. Produced by Dolf Planteijdt. (The Ex Records/Superior Viaduct Records)

Formed on a grim council estate in Edinburgh in 1979 by singer Terry Buchan and guitarist Stevie Ross with bassist Alan Paget and drummer Andy McNiven, The Exploited became one of the most popular and notorious of all hardcore punk bands. When they signed to Secret Records in 1981 for debut LP Punks Not Dead, Terry had been replaced by his ex-soldier brother Wattie (who became group leader thereafter), with guitarist Big John Duncan, drummer Dru Stix, and bassist Gary McCormack; by the time Let’s Start A War… was released, the group featured Wattie’s brother Willie on drums and Billy Dunn on bass, while Horror Epics had Wayne Tyas on bass and Karl ‘Egghead’ Morris on guitar. That same line- up is featured on Live At The Whitehouse, a riveting and lengthy performance recorded in Washington DC in April 1985; highlights includes the opening “Let’s Start A War,”dedicated to Argentina, a swear-ridden “God Save The Queen,” a take of “Rival Leaders” aimed at Reagan and Thatcher, “I Hate You” (with a reverse Jello Biafra reference), a castigating “Daily News” aimed at fanzine Maximum Rock n Roll, and a rousing “Punks Not Dead” encore.

(GI) is the debut and only studio album by American punk rock band the Germs recorded in 1978 and released in 1979. Often considered the first hardcore punk album. One of the leading bands of the ’70s Los Angeles punk scene, the Germs (Darby Crash, Pat Smear, Lorna Doom, and Don Bolles) only released one studio album before the untimely death of lead singer Crash at the age of 22. Equal parts Sex Pistols and Iggy Pop, the band’s legendary live shows bordered on chaos, with Crash having a tendency to cover himself with whatever food was located nearby while diving into the crowd whenever possible. The lone album the band did manage to record, (GI), was produced by Joan Jett and features 16 tracks of unbridled garage-punk bliss. (Fan Club/Unofficial)

The Hives’ 1997 debut “Barely Legal”made available on vinyl again. After being out of print for years, we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the landmark album by releasing it on heavy quality black vinyl. The Hives’ debut shot thru the punk community like a runaway locomotive, with faster-than-fast blistering punk that had the punks cheering and raising bottles and cans, but left most of the mainstream going “oh...wel...uhm what?” (Burning Heart Records/2017) https://vimeo.com/73582300

Veni Vidi Vicious re-released on silver vinyl. Rousing, stompin' garage rock from these Swedes, with plenty of mod and frantic punk energy to keep you grooving along. Party Party! they seem to be saying, and you just want to join. This is definite change-up from the usual hyperspeed pop-ska-punk dross offered on Epitaph. Perhaps this arises from the fact that these guys are only distributed on Epitaph and yet are actually on the Burning Heart imprint. Plenty of fuzzed, struttin', propulsive guitar work on this disc to assault your ears. Well worth your time to take a spin. More records like this need to exist. (Burning Heart Records/2017)

  • While Montego Bay natives Jackie Bernard, his brother Footy Bernard and cousin Lloyd Kerr recorded under various guises in the early '60s, their collective arrival as The Kingstonians in 1967 marked a sea change not only in the vocal trio's productivity and popularity, but also in the emerging Reggae sound. The Kingstonians made several chart-topping singles between 1968 and 1970, including the massive hit "Singer Man" whose success ultimately led to the release of their sole LP, Sufferer. Originally issued on Trojan, Sufferer collects a dozen of The Kingstonians' best-known songs. Produced by Derrick Harriott, these truly boss sounds would pack dancehalls on the island as well as become the soundtrack for working-class youth across '70s Britain. The title track remains a classic of the early Reggae era with impeccable arrangements, stuttering organ and soul-steeped lyrics. The Kingstonians' shift away from Rocksteady modes is perhaps most apparent on the aforementioned "Singer Man" – an irresistible forward groove, prompting a deeper danceability that is rightly centered on real feeling. Antarctica Starts Here presents the first-time domestic release of Sufferer. Reproducing the original sleeve design, this reissue is part of an archival series that focuses on Trojan's essential '60s and '70s catalogue. Liner notes by Laurence Cane-Honeysett. (Antarctica Starts Here Records)
