• An essential collection from UK punk-rockers SELF ABUSE from Bournemouth, Dorset. These delinquents formed in 1982 while still teenagers, played out and released the fantastic "state of mind" demo. 1983 found them releasing the "teenage" demo. In 1984 the "i didn't wanna be a soldier" 7" on Radical Change went to # 2 in the Independent charts - thanks to the support of fans like the great late John Peel. Often described as a cross between STIFF LITTLE FINGERS and CHRON GEN loaded with plenty of attitude and smarts. As bonus a 7” of an unreleased '82 demo is included. 300 Copies Pressed Side A: 1-3 I Didn't Want To Be A Soldier 7" 1984 4-8 1984 Demo Side B: 1982 State Of Mind Demo Bonus 7": 1982 Unreleased Demos (Queer Pills ‎Records) https://youtu.be/dayAvNgb4Ws
  • The sensational Italian pop-punk quartet Senzabenza will forever be associated with The Ramones, having opened for them on every Italian tour undertaken by the legendary New York group during the 1990s, the Italians eventually placing Joey Ramone in their producer’s chair. Formed in 1989 in Latina, a small town that lies a short distance southeast of Rome, the group termed their music “Flower Punk,” indicating a sound somewhere between their Ramones obsession and the non-thrash tempos of surf rock, along with peripheral links to the Italian variant of the ‘beat’ music of the mid-60s, as well as hints of ska and the excesses of acid rock. As with many underground acts of the era, a demo sparked the initial interest that brought them onto the newly formed McGuffin label for debut set Peryzoma, with front man Nando Ferdinandi joined by guitarist Sebi Filigi, bassist Fabio Furlan, and drummer Max Bergo. One of the lost treasures of Euro Pop Punk, it was about time that their groundbreaking debut LP 'Peryzoma' would get the deluxe-reissue treatment. LIMITED PINK VINYL EDITION WITH FULLY REMASTERED SOUND, COMES WITH 2 BONUS TRACKS, DOUBLE-SIDED INSERT AND POSTER! (Hey Suburbia Records)

Not a lot of bands come from Boise, Idaho, however even if SEPTIC DEATH were the only band to emerge from there, it should put the city on the map as birthing something great. The band was formed by late ’70s/ early ’80s California skate regular Brian “Pushead” Schroeder, who had already made a bit of a name in the underground hardcore/ punk scene not only as a skater, but as an artist. He began sending his art to bands and ‘zines in the early ’80s, and many of them chose to use it. Later he became the main artist for Zorlac Skateboards, designing the artwork for a special edition METALLICA skateboard . The band soon used him to design art and t-shirts for them, which propelled him to even larger fame. At this point he has done art for tons of bands both big and small, and his unmistakable gruesome and original artwork and attention to detail was first brought into full bloom in the service of SEPTIC DEATH. The first Septic Death release (1984) is also the very first Pusmort release. Classic American hc/punk. (Pussmort/Unofficial Release)

  • Ask any avowed thrash-metal fan, and they’ll tell you the same thing that we’re about to tell you: Sepultura’s major-label debut, BENEATH THE REMAINS, is a true classic of the genre and one of the best albums ever released by the Brazilian band. You can imagine, then, that the Sepultura fans out there will be ecstatic to learn that today’s the day that this iconic album hits stores in a deluxe edition, both as a 2-CD set and as a double-LP set on 180-gram vinyl. In addition to a remastered version of the original album, BENEATH THE REMAINS: DELUXE EDITION includes nine previously-unreleased “mixdown” recordings taken from the original album sessions at Nas Nuvens Studios in Rio de Janeiro, along with previously-unreleased unreleased recordings of a September 22, 1989 live performance at the Zeppelinhalle, West Germany. In addition to the band’s own songs, listeners also get to enjoy the band roaring through covers of Black Sabbath’s “Symptom Of the Universe” and the Dead Kennedys “Holiday In Cambodia.” (Roadrunner Records)
  • Beneath the Remains is the third studio album by Brazilian thrash metal band Sepultura, released on April 7, 1989.

  • During the late 1970s, hardcore punk hit the surfer town of HuntingTon Beach, southeast of Los Angeles, like a gnarly wave. Shattered Faith are among the most revered of the groups to surface from her shores, co-founder Kerry Martinez and early member Goblin both from the Latino community. This indispensable collection gathers all six tracks from their renowned Poshboy session of 1981 that yielded the classic protest single “I Love America”/“Ronald Reagan,” as well as the entire slew of 1979 demos, appearing on vinyl for the very first time. This is So-Cal hardcore at its irresistible best. All tracks remastered by California Punk rock mastermind GEZA X. Comes with folded poster with exclusive Shattered Faith 1982 photos by punk photographer Alison Braun. Essential! (Radiation Records)
  • SHEER MAG returns with their sophomore album, "a distant call". They're still writing about surviving our current hellscape, but this time around the politics get extra personal. The album verges on being a concept piece, and the protagonist resembles frontwoman Tina Halladay herself. (Wilsuns Records) https://sheermag.bandcamp.com/album/a-distant-call
  • The bulldogs of New York Hardcore are back! Four years after their last full-length album - "Standing Up For Falling Down" - and two years after their most recent work, a split single with Lars Frederiksen's The Old Firm Casuals, the ugly and proud (also known as SHEER TERROR) have returned with four brand new stormers. Under exclusive license from Reaper Records, who will be releasing this EP stateside, REBELLION RECORDS is proud to unleash the new fury by these hardcore legends in Europe on a glorious 12" EP! • The legendary Post-Hardcore pioneers SHELTER will release a new, remastered and repackaged edition of their album "When 20 Summers Pass," which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year in beautiful analogy to the title - in cooperation with End Hits Records. The enormously influential formation around frontman Ray Cappo celebrates a record that had to be realized under adverse circumstances at the time of its release in 2000, but which is still remembered as one of the most slick hardcore records of the new millennium due to its musical class. After a SHELTER discography that is marked by numerous experiments, "When 20 Summers Pass" can thus be understood as a sonic return to its origins through which Cappo's raw songwriting energy is more clearly visible than ever. In the year 2000, SHELTER were facing an enormous artistic challenge: Behind them lies an incredibly successful time with a major label. However, although their 1997 album "Beyond Planet Earth" presented itself stylistically as diverse as never before, it did not satisfy Roadrunner Records commercially. SHELTER were faced with the question of how to continue after such a creative period. Cappo and his bandmate John Porcell, finally found the answer in the band's roots. Completely realized without label support, "When 20 Summers Pass" had become a record with uncompromisingly rousing hardcore punk, which not only makes Cappo's origins in bands like Youth Of Today audible again, but at the same time impresses with incorruptibly staged pop influences. Not only the songwriting duo Cappo and Porcelly is largely responsible for the grandiose result of this orientation, but also the legendary producer Don Fury whose repertoire includes acts, such as, Agnostic Front, Madball or Quicksand. "When 20 Summers Pass" is also under a special sign because it was originally planned as the last SHELTER album. This makes it all more clear why this record refines the core essences of this band more decisively than almost any other, and why Ray Cappo digs especially deep in his lyrics. The title track "When 20 Summers Pass" and "Song Of Brahma" are still among the most profound tracks SHELTER has ever written. They present Cappo not only as an outstanding songwriter, but also as a far-sighted lyricist. The new edition of the album on End Hits Records contains, in addition to the 12 original songs, four rarities as bonus tracks and on top of that even a never before released SHELTER song called "Why Can't I Just Get Through To You?". All additional tracks are taken from the the band’s recording sessions of the album. (End Hits Records)
  • Here we come again with one of the last cult albums from the ‘80s which hasn’t been pressed ever since. SHERWOOD POGO, an outstanding Parisian band which used to reign from 1981 to 1986. The album, so rare and so sought after, has just undergone a new vinyl processing, pressed in 700 copies, with an unfolding sleeve. And, just as the two previous pressings dating back from 1986 (a black one and a yellow one), the colour of the sleeve is different. 12 tracks, absolutely identical to the original ones ( same matrix). Hailing from South East Asia, Singapore, SIAL's blistering abrasive, loud and primitive sounding hardcore encompasses exactly what it is to be Sial! (DAMNED in English) A swear word in Bahasa Melayu (Malay), SIAL sings in the language of Singapore's indigenous minority, and challenge a culture and language generally said to be gentle and polite. Commonly described as an idle and passive people until the colonisation of Singapore by the British, SIAL takes back a power stripped away by centuries of imperialism and lies. Their hardcore takes props from the ferocity of early DISORDER output mixed with a singer who without doubt has had COMES debut album on repeat or even DIRT's early single on CRASS. Their rhythm section works relentlessly to create a mix of mid 90’s Japanese crasher crust and second wave UK punk creating one of the most powerful records we've heard in a long time. SIAL's debut record comes housed in a heavy reverse-board sleeve and includes a lyric insert and download code. (La Vida Es Un Mus Records)

Singapore's SIAL return with another wave of destruction and their 3rd release on LVEUM. They've truly found the perfect balance of melody, noise and aggression while still putting great emphasis on the political aspect of hardcore punk that's always spitting hate towards the power that corrupts. The music and song writing can be somewhat ambiguous to some listeners who have devoted their life to the classic raw hardcore punk format, but this record shouldn't be left out- it carries the same cathartic punk experience. References point being THE COMES, LEBENDEN TOTEN or Perdition era DISORDER. SIAL has always been using strong malay metaphors and proverbs in their lyrics, and more in this release to stress how important the Malay language is to them in expressing a structure that is broken in this modern capitalistic world. 'Tari Pemusnah Kuasa', which translates to 'The Revolt Dance' or ' Dance of The Power Crusher', delivers a sense of mysticism and empowerment. This uncompromising attitude is what we need in these trying times. Tari Pemusnah Kuasa was recorded by the band and mastered by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air Studio. The record sleeve was designed by drummer Izzad Radzali Shah and comes with a printed inner sleeve by guitarist Hafiz. • Flesh-ripping, old school Pathological Grindcore starring three heavyweights of the Czech Gore/Grind scene: Bilos (Malignant Tumour), Jürgen (Ahumado Granujo, Ingrowing) and Hary (Pathologist). These forensic maniacs deliver what they’re highly specialized in: 24 songs in 27 minutes taking the best of early Carcass, Xysma, Regurgitate, Dead Infection to a new level of sickness and intensity! A festering throwback to the golden late ’80s to early ’90s era when the milestones of this genre where setting new shocking standards in extreme music. All this channelled through a very well conceived analog production that embodies the real soul of the original PathoGrind, chaining you to the walls of an anatomy room! LP with printed inner sleeve and two sided A2 poster. Get ready to drown in a swarming of putrid bacterias! Solid black vinyl (180 grams) limited to 200 copies LP. (F.O.A.D. Records)
  • Silence are a highly active post-punk/peace-punk band from Pittsburgh, PA. “The Deafening Sound of Absolutely Nothing” strives (and succeeds) to achieve the perfect mix of between peace and post punk. By taking influences from The Mob, Bauhaus, Zounds, Killing Joke, Amebix, Crass, Conflict, Internal Autonomy and Joy Division SILENCE have created what can only be described a brilliant debut LP. At one moment this record is dark, heavy, and atmospheric and then the next moment it makes you want to dance and sing along. Lyrically SILENCE are much closer to the anarcho side of the previously listed influences. Lyrics focus on a variety of topics but often have a strong focus on the way punk and activist communities deal with political struggle in our current political climate. “The Deafening Sound of Absolutely Nothing” comes with a 16 page magazine size zine containing lyrics, personal writings and song explanations. Designed, printed and assembled by the band themselves in true D.I.Y. fashion. (Profane Existence Records)
  • Raw hardcore/noise punk from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. (Konton Crasher Records)
  • Direct from Kansas City and encased in a layer of four-track analog glory comes the debut album from Silicone Prairie. You may have enjoyed Ian Teeple in action with Warm Bodies or The Natural Man Band, though Silicone Prairie is where Teeple has been focusing his solo creative energies over the past couple years, culminating in these 13 tracks. A trebly & jittery, landlocked Midwestern punk sound comes into effect straight out of the gate, much in the lineage of Gulcher's 'Red Snerts' comp or the Dow Jones side of 'Hoosier Hysteria' - with a dash of hardcore DEVO or even D.L.I.M.C. thrown in for contemporary spuds. But there's far more to Silicone Prairie - with quantitatively great songwriting and instrumentation bursting any preconceived sub-subgenre bubbles and occupying a kindred creative plain that made just about any Mould, Kirkwood, or Sage composition of the mid-80's oh so delightful & memorable. Heck, there's even a synth-heavy instrumental dedicated to electronic pioneer Patrick Cowley. 'My Life on the Silicone Prairie' dances across the sonic spectrum, from bedroom jangle to basement devolution, carrying big guitars, sharp synthesizers, and a hopeful grin into 2021 and beyond. A carefully crafted debut alive with the kind of creative rock'n'roll energy that simply cannot be quarantined, now or ever. (Feel It Records)

  • Awesome collection of the double Peel Sessions recorded in 1977 and 1978 at the very beginning of this heavyweight's career. Awesome sound and very interesting insert full of pictures, stories and interviews. The 1977 session has been recorded before they released their first single (Hong Kong Garden) and their first LP (The Scream) and you can hear the punk roots more than ever before. In the 1978 session we're still into the very early Banshees days and the songs are more raw and aggressive than their official versions. Mandatory for every 77 punk and post punk maniac! Raleigh, North Carolina’s Skemäta are back with their second 12”, A Bright Shining Hell. While you can still expect the same furious, explosive d-beat hardcore you found on their debut, this time around they’ve dispensed with a lot of the fiddly bits and delivered something a bit more direct and concise, much as Sorry State favorites Sickoids honed and streamlined their sound when they moved from their first LP to their second 12”. It’s not so much that the music is any less complex, but the intricate riffs and rhythms are packed into a smaller space, delivered with a dizzying degree of speed, precision, and power. The result is a pressure cooker of a record that takes the apocalyptic fury of a band like Framtid and fuses it with the catchy songwriting of Totalitär. In a world of flash-in-the-pan d-beat bands that rip off a couple of Cimex riffs and then vanish into the ether, Skemäta stands alone as one of the most distinctive, original, and memorable bands in the genre.
