Long awaited vinyl reissue for one of the hidden gems of California punk rock. Sick Pleasure formed in 1980 when guitarist Michael Fox, future co-owner of San Francisco's legendary punk and industrial label Subterranean, teamed up with skaters Sal Paradise and Dave Chavez, and the infamous Nikki Sicki. The band lasted until 1982 when it just "wasn't fun anymore". At this point, Sick Pleasure had no material on wax and it seemed as if they would have gone down in history as another forgotten band of the hardcore era. The three members aside from Nikki went on to form Code Of Honor and Nikki went on to form Verbal Abuse in Houston. This was in late 1981, when Michael Fox's new roommate Jonhitin Christ, also the singer in the SF punk band Society Dog, stepped in on vocals and formed Code Of Honor. In later 1982, after Code Of Honor had established themselves, they released a split record featuring songs by both bands. Fully authorized by the original label and by founding member for both bands, Sal Paradise, finally you get an affordable alternative to fill in that void in your California punk record collection. • COKE BUST | confined | LP

    12.50 incl. tax
Washington DC's COKE BUST deliver nine more raging blasts of full on hardcore in its rawest and most primal form. "Confined," the band's latest release on Grave Mistake since 2011's "Degradation" EP, is their most intense work to date; which says a lot considering the sheer ferocity of the band's previous output. This is no surprise however, considering Coke Bust have spent the past seven years of their existence refusing to rest on their laurels; constantly refining their style and successfully outdoing themselves with each release. For the unacquainted, Coke Bust deliver their own brand of no frills fast hardcore, taking cues from bands like SIEGE, INFEST, and YOUTH OF TODAY. Fully embracing the "less is more" philosophy, the fat has been completely trimmed on "Confined," leaving nothing but prime cut at 45 revolutions per minute. • CONFLICT | conclusion | LP

    13.00 incl. tax
Long-running U.K. anarcho punks Conflict hardly need an introduction. This is a reissue of their 1993 album which saw the band incorporating keyboards, synths, horns, and even some ska and death rock influences. While their previous albums It’s Time to See Who’s Who and Increase the Pressure were much more rooted in hardcore punk, Conclusion offers a more challenging listen with songs clocking in at over nine minutes, with spoken word and operatic song structures. It’s probably not what I would ever recommend as a go-to or classic (their previously mentioned first two records are where I’d start with) but twenty-four years later, this album still stands the test of time and holds up about as well as anything that came out that year. The unlisted final song is perhaps the band at its most ferocious and worth the price of admission alone. –Juan Espinosa (Papagájův Hlasatel Records)
  • "Se Hace por los Suenos Asesinos" is probably the most sought-after Corrupted album. Released back in 2004 through Japan's HG Fact label, in an initial run of 1000 copies (which sold out within the first week!), this cult album has never been repressed ever since. - With more than 300 people wanting this on Discogs alone, and prices going from 45 up to 100 Eur, Corrupted and Throne decided it was time for a repress. Comes on 140gr. black vinyl, limited to 800 copies worldwide. 350gr. gatefold sleeve and polylined black-inked paper bags. Sealed "There isn't really a band that can compare to the deadly force of Corrupted. The easily disheartened should avoid the hopeless black sky blocking heaven's view that hovers over the opening track. The weak willed should stay out of the dark tsunami that consumes and destroys in the latter two. Listen at your own risk". — 4.5 / 5 "Superb" (Sputnikmusic) (Throne Records)

Limited edition translucent blue vinyl. One of the most savagely cool and confrontational punk acts in history, CRIME famously dubbed themselves "San Francisco's First and Only Rock 'N' Roll Band." This inflammatory claim was supported by unpredictable live shows that often ended in riots. In 1978, film producer Larry Larson captured CRIME in their natural habitat, the dimly-lit nightclub Mabuhay Gardens. They looked and sounded more severe than anyone in San Francisco was ready for. The footage sat dormant for decades, until now! Edited and directed by Jon Bastian, the recently completed movie features archival live performances and unruly behind-the-scenes straight from the original 16mm color film. A vital document of the group – Frankie Fix, Johnny Strike, Ron The Ripper and Hank Rank – as well as North Beach's sordid scene: parading punks, square thrill-seekers and Fab Mab promoter Dirk Dirksen's provocative emceeing. Superior Viaduct presents this first-time release of the 35-minute movie on DVD and double 7" of its soundtrack. Feel the beat – it's CRIME time. (Superior Viaduct Records)

During the 1980s, a time of conflict among alternative and increasingly tribal musical subcultures, an interesting compromise began to take form in the hardcore, punk and metal worlds. Blending the musical and visual elements of all three, this scene within several scenes came to be known as Crossover. Pulling together bands from diverse subcultural backgrounds (including the Skinhead, Oi and Anarcho scenes) to create a unique fusion whose appeal reached out to a large proportion of each of their fans, the movement was nevertheless overlooked by purists from each side. But inarguably, Crossover (or "Speedcore" as some came to call it), lent a fresh air to a metal scene at risk of stagnation, and brought a welcome atmosphere of experimentation to punk rock. Crossover The Edge contains in-depth features on over 100 key bands from the scene's 1980s heyday, including Agnostic Front, Cro Mags, Crumbsuckers, Leeway, Gang Green, Nuclear Assault, Lethal Aggression, D.R.I., Corrosion of Conformity, Impulse Manslaughter, Verbal Abuse, Attitude Adjustment, Suicidal Tendencies, Excel, Beowulf, Dr. Know, Septic Death, Cryptic Slaughter, Accused, Dayglo Abortions, Discharge, Broken Bones, English Dogs, Sacrilege, Warfare, Raw Power, Rumble Militia, Lobotomia, Overkill L.A., Mentors, Void and Amebix. Another 500 bands are also featured briefly. Format Paperback | 600 pages Publisher Cherry Red Records.

  • Another reissue of a cold war era hc/punk classic and the arrow aims again at Scandinavia, this time to the neighbouring country – Sweden. Early 80’s saw several bands emerging from here that were more or less drawing on DISCHARGE, but mostly went even more hardcore. We’re talking about ANTI CIMEX among the first, then also about AVSKUM, MOB 47, MODERAT LIKVIDATION, DISARM and – of course – about CRUDE SOCIETY SYSTEM. Apart from a demo and numerous compilation tracks CRUDE SS officially released just one 7” EP. This appeared in 1983 on Uproar Records and has become an undisputed classic of Swedish hardcore. It carries six blasting tracks of unique, aggressive and furious hardcore punk thrash with clear roots in DISCHARGE, GBH and UK punk in genreral, but also with obvious influence of Californian CRUCIFIX etc. Raw sound, elaborated yet still straight-forward riffs completed with angry English lyrics against arms race, capitalism, animal abuse or destruction of nature. If you’re wondering where did such bands like MASSKONTROLL or FRAMTID get inspiration from, you should listen to this EP. Coming out after 28 years as a band-authorised official reissue, its whole layout sticks as close as possible to the original issue, including such details as runout groove engravings or typing errors on labels. This is the long out of print (on vinyl) LP that was made from the Dirty Rotten EP. It’s the orginal mix, master and song order. The band realized once they saw the prices on things that to do their 22 song 7″ as a 12″ would only cost a little more. So with that they did it and the ‘Dirty Rotten EP’ became the ‘Dirty Rotten LP. With more space between the grooves the songs became even louder and more intense then before. (Beer City Records)

  • Despite releasing records only on independent labels and receiving virtually no radio play, Dead Kennedys routinely top both critic and fan polls as the greatest punk band of the late 1970s and early 1980s. Their sound was inventive and tetchy, and front man Jello Biafra's lyrics were incisive and often scathing. This chronicle--the first in-depth book written about Dead Kennedys--uses dozens of firsthand interviews, photos, and original artwork to offer a new perspective on a group that was mired in controversy almost from its inception. It examines and applauds the band's key role in transforming punk rhetoric, both polemical and musical, into something genuinely threatening and enormously funny. Author Alex Ogg puts the local and global trajectory of punk into context and, while not flinching from the wildly differing takes the individual band members have on the evolution of the band, attempts to be celebratory--if not uncritical. Format Paperback | 214 pages Dimensions 152 x 229 x 15.24mm | 254g Language English
  • Recorded in 1986, this is DEAD KENNEDYS' final studio album and these 21 tracks saw the band take a more "thrashy" edge to their sound, resulting in some of their most fast and intense tracks. The tracks have been digitally-remastered from the original studio tapes. (Let Them Eat Vinyl)
  • First released in 1985, this is the infamous psychedelic-edged hardcore release that caused such a sensation with the subsequent censorship trial and features songs like "mtv - get off the air". (Let Them Eat Vinyl)
  • Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables is the debut studio album by the American punk rock band Dead Kennedys. It was first released on September 2, 1980 through Cherry Red Records in the United Kingdom and later issued by Jello Biafra's own Alternative Tentacles label in the United States. The best selling and generally the most critically acclaimed album by Dead Kennedys, Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables has become a major staple of American punk. It is the only Dead Kennedys album to feature drummer Ted and guitarist 6025. (Restless Empire Records)
  • Originally released in 1987, this is the bands "greatest hits" collection and should need no introduction. "give me convenience" contains 17 remastered tracks documenting the band's classic singles, b-sides, rare and compilation appearances spanning their career. (Let Them Eat Vinyl)
