In late 1983, Predrag Cvetičanin (guitar, vocals) with Zoran Đorđević (guitar), Branko (bass guitar), and Boban (drums) formed the band Dobri Isak (Kind Isaak). After the home made demo recording and short pause, Cvetičanin, with bassist Miloš Miladinović, and drummer Saša Marković "Markiz" reformed the band, whom in the period of 1984-1985 will join Nenad Cvetičanic, Predrag's brother, from the band Arnold Layne. They recorded their first and only album „Mi plačemo iza tamnih naočara“ (We Cry Behind Dark Glasses), released in 1986 by the Niš Student Cultural Center (SKC), being the first release of the Studentkult production. The album, released on compact cassette only and printed in a limited number of 100 copies, had been distributed by the Ljubljana ŠKUC, and rapidly sold out. Band's concert activity was consist of winning the Best Performance Award on Serbian Youth Festival in Knjaževac in 1985, after they gain the opportunity to appear the Dani Novih Omladinskih Novina in Split (Croatia) on Summer of the same year. After that the band appeared with several other Niš bands at the „Pozdrav iz Niša“ manifestation in Skopje (Macedonia). In a short period of time, the band had another performance in Skopje, appearing as guests at the first solo concert of the band Padot na Vizantija. During the late 1985, the band performed at the Rock Bands Festival held at the Belgrade Dom Omladine, and on early 1986, the band had two appearances at the Zagreb (Croatia) alternative rock festival Yu Rock Moment, on March in the semi-final, and on May at the festival finale, held at the Republic Square, performing with Let 3, Oktobar 1864, and Mizar. Dobri Isak performed until June 1986, when they held their last concert at the Niš Synagogue, appearing with Arnold Layne and Mizar, after which they decided to split up. Limited to 400 black & 100 red vinyls. Including insertsheet with lyrics & over 20 bandphotos. All song are remastered. Label: NE! Records

    DÖDSRIT | dödsrit | LP

EX. TOTEM SKIN!!! Dödsrit is a project created by Christoffer Öster from TOTEM SKIN. Dödsrit tries to blend atmospheric black metal with the rawness from crust. The writing for Dödsrit started right after Totem Skin had recorded their last album "Weltschmerz" . And was conducted for almost two years before it saw the light of the day. Dödsritt shivering melodies were created in the deep forests in the outskirts of Borlänge, Sweden. Conducted by Christoffer Öster from Totem Skin who poured every drop of passion he could harvest from the bottom of his heart. "this same titeled LP is the band’s 1st full-length. The soundscape of the album ranges from raw aggression to doomy heaviness and unsettling guitar melodies. The vocals create an honest and desperate atmosphere, the vocalists screaming themes of nature and problems in life. Intense grinding shares space with quiet and reverent moments, but the sonic landscape is always filled with emotion. • Out from a concept of misery and suffering, our feeble and dying world is the subject of a new hymn to its demise. “Mortal Coil” is Dödsrit's third full-length, featured on a yet short career though wholly filled with soul-drenching moments. Featuring four tracks, Dödsrit's "Mortal Coil" hails the smothering ashes of purgatory's flames by forging a wall of soultearing riffing, blistering belligerence conjoining melody with aggression, a genuine blaze of cacophony and heart-wrenching melancholy. Consuming all in its path, this relentless maelstrom of grief finds its vision on the thunderous production - utterly powerful and blisteringly organic in all its dynamism. Such sonic virtues get sheerly enhanced by the lively rhythmic section and uncompromised ferocity. Whether on blastbeating outbreaks, D-beat infused vigour, or further atmospheric escapades, pulsing impulses carry an expression and sense of craftsmanship that amazingly translate emotions into cataclysmic beats. Drenched in anguish, a scourged narrator of tragedies spews every single word with the blood and fiery distress of a heart burdened by the weight of our sorrowed existence, a shivering performance of a tongue absorbed in the (dis)comfort of eternal grief. Out under the banner of Wolves of Hades on Vinyl & CD, and The Hell Command on Cassette, “Mortal Coil” is a eulogy to the world in flames - to the hell we call our home. • Rejoice Indie poppers, punks and pop kids – Sealed Records in conjunction with the band and BBC release all 14 tracks Dolly Mixture recorded for the BBC. You no longer have to listen to bad YouTube uploads… Here are all the tracks remastered from original sources, and as an added treat featuring John Peel introducing them and three jingles the band recorded for Kid Jensen. The first session was recorded for John Peel in August 1979 and features the unreleased ‘Dolly Mixture Theme Song’ which the band used to start gigs with and a super strong cover of Goffin and King’s ‘The Locomotion’. Four already Dolly Mixture classics from the time were also recorded including ‘Dream Come True’, ‘He’s So Frisky’, ‘New Look Baby’ and ‘Ernie Ball’. You can hear the excitement and joy and the sounds are so well recorded at Maida Vale Studios with top notch studio equipment and production. The next session from September 82 was recorded for Kid Jensen and shows a slightly more mature band, but the tracks are just as instant and lovable. These tracks have a more 60’s girl group sound but with more energy. Most people will know the tracks from the Demonstration Tapes album but these versions are better recorded and show the band moving forward. The last session from October 1983 was for Kid Jensen and again shows a band evolving but still with tunes that over forty years later are still loved and adored. All in all 14 perfectly rounded pop nuggets wrapped in a beautifully designed sleeve and poster by Paul Kelly. Label: Sealed Records
  • The return of the classic Demonstration Tapes double LP on vinyl from the one and only Dolly Mixture. Originally self released in 1984 – this 27 track set collects the band’s demos from 1979 to 1983 of perfectly executed pop, indie pop and ’60s girl group gems. The sound is raw but the charm and pure-pop songcraft manages to shine through. Dolly Mixture should have been massive – so just sit back and enjoy these charming songs that have aged like a fine wine. Original copies sell for silly money and even the Germs of Youth reissue sells for over £100. This reissue comes with a brand new sleeve design. (Spa Green Records)
  • In this often witty, sometimes furious, and sometimes downright surreal collection, James Domestic does - as per usual - whatever the hell he likes, with poetry, prose, lyrics, illustrations, and edited photos all thrown into the mix with abandon. Punk, politics, habit, the nature of work, the environment, nostalgia, aging, and some quintessentially British whimsy, all crammed in together like a last minute bag hurriedly packed for tour. Somehow it works. A man in too many bands to count (The Domestics, PI$$ER, Da Groins, Tokyo Lungs... that's not even half of 'em), a solo artist, a vocalist, a songwriter, a DJ, a poet, a painter, someone who failed miserably at school, spent his early post-school life between the chemical factory and the dole, and somehow now has a PhD (yep, it's genuinely Dr Domestic!). A square peg in life's round hole. A face that never really fitted. He couldn't care less. Come along for the ride. Domesticated is an eighty page collection of James Domestics street-poetry and punk-prose. He's always on the road and at the gigs. His poetry has earned him comparisons to John Cooper Clarke, Ivor Cutler, Spike Milligan and Banjamin Zephaniah, amongst others. • From being right in the middle at the birth of US hardcore punk with DYS to creating the blueprint of melodic hardcore with DAG NASTY, from helping to invent pop punk as we know it with ALL to finding himself in the middle of the west coast punk explosion of the 90s with DOWN BY LAW: Smalley was always on the forefront every time hardcore punk pushed its envelope. While others may use a legacy like that as an excuse to take it a little slower, Dave Smalley has no intention to rest on his laurels and keeps writing new music and releasing records. When he founded DON'T SLEEP with fellow East Coast punk rockers Garrett Rothman, Tony Bavaria, Jim Bedorf and Tom McGrath in 2017, the world was more than excited about seeing him front a fast yet melodic hardcore band again. Being motivated by immensely positive feedback, DON'T SLEEP was finally ready to release its debut album "Turn the Tide" in 2020. And then the world came to a grinding halt. But after the dust settled, all five members decided that DON'T SLEEP was too important to not overcome all obstacles thrown in their way. The five piece went back into the rehearsal room, finished 8 original songs and added an amazing TOM PETTY cover to the mix. The result is DON'T SLEEP's second full length "See Change". Doom is an English crust punk band from Birmingham, England, formed in 1987. Despite its short existence (though Doom is active on the live scene as of late), the band is considered pivotal in the rise of crust punk movement. They recorded for Peaceville Records and are cited as an early precursor to the grindcore style of heavy metal music, & are often compared with seminal act Discharge. Doom were also a favorite of BBC Radio DJ John Peel. In its formative years, Peaceville had heard about Doom through word of mouth and asked if they were interested in contributing songs to the first compilation, "A Vile Peace". Doom went into the studio to record their first demo on 28 August 1987. Three songs were recorded, two of which appeared on "A Vile Peace". On the strength of this first recording Peaceville asked Doom if they would record a full LP for them, which they agreed to do. In Feburary 1988, Doom went into the "Rich Bitch" studios and recorded 21 songs for the album, "War Crimes". "Total Doom" was the band's second album, originally released in 1989, & was a collection of the "Police Bastard" EP, "War Crimes" LP, plus the "Bury the Debt - not the Dead" split release tracks. Industrial Records - the label of Throbbing Gristle first released this pop gem in October 1980 and it was possibly the straightest yet weirdest release the label ever did. Dorothy was described as a 19 year old with no prior releases, but was actually Max the drummer from Rema Rema with help in the song writing department from Alex Ferguson from Alternative TV and Genesis P-Orridge. I Confess is a perfect super cute pop ditty with lyrics that sound like a catholic confession. The flipside Softness is a DIY Disco dancefloor nugget with Dorothy's silky smooth vocals. A dark wall carves a way, encases you, absorbed your spirit and takes you to the realm of the powerful soundscape of 'Downfall Of Gaia'. The boys have been barricading themselves in the '79 Sound Studio in Cologne to work on new material for their second album. The result was mixed in the well known Atomic Garden Studio in the Bay Area of San Francisco, but mastered in the Audiosiege Studio in Portland, Oregon. They have now completed the masterpiece and are ready to release it. They also have a concept on this album. The band wrangles with the mightiest foe of human kind in their lyrics: time, that keeps on ticking away. That's why 'Downfall Of Gaia' cut down on the calmer song fragments and rush through this album, titled "Aeon Unveils The Thrones Of Decay". Label: Metal Blade Barcode: 039841533521
