Back in stockSweden’s Hardcore pioneers blast back after 23 years! “Död åt kapitalismen” is their first recording since 1994 and as expected it takes no prisoners… 10 songs of raw and brutal HC combing the traditional Scandinavian approach with a solid d-beat structure. It takes all the best features of their previous works to push them to a new devastating stage… speed, anger, vitriolic vocals and a solid production makes this a total scandicore headsmasher for fans of Anti Cimex, Crude SS, Totallitär, Avskum and so on. Comes in a gatefold sleeve. (F.O.A.D. Records)

Back in stockAstaron from Vienna Austria were a music and art performance duo made up of Angie Mörth (member of viele bunte Autos) and Martina Aichhorn who existed from 1984 to 1989. Influenced by the Viennese Actionism, Einstürzende Neubauten and Kate Bush and armed with a big dose of black humour and a true love for trash culture they created an impressively unique body of work. They released two DIY tapes, One 12” and this stunning self titled album at the tail end of 1987. It was originally released by local label Ton Um Ton Records in a criminally low pressing of 500 Copies. It’s an unadjusted highly experimental and totally addictive dark wave album with hints of minimal post punk. The music ranges from dirgelike chants to ethereal pop to haunting ballads. It’s pure melancholic beauty from start to finish. Think KUKL, Cocteau Twins, Young Marble Giants for the minimal sound, Brian Eno, Lizzy Mercier Descloux and Diamanda Galas. Sealed Records are proud to give this haunting rhythmic and gorgeous album a new lease of life. This time adding a printed inner sleeve and 12 page booklet. (Sealed Records)

Out of stockFormed in 1981 by a crew of hardcore punx and skins from Stoke-on-Trent in the industrial Midlands of England, Asylum fully embraced the ‘Noise Not Music’ rallying call. The missing link between Discharge and Japanese Noisecore, their sound is characterised by detuned ear-piercing distortion: buzzsaw guitars, fuzzed bass, charging drums and gargled vocals battle each other in a maelstrom of lo-fi production murk that reflects the bleak outlook of their lyrics. Only existing for a brief moment in time (playing a handful of mainly local gigs and releasing one demo tape and the occasional track on compilation tapes) and obscure even during their existence, Asylum were nonetheless influential, their ‘1,000 M.P.H. Hardcore Punk’ inspiring other U.K. groups such as Skum Dribblurzzzz and Napalm Death. (Nic Bullen) This release contains the 6 Track demo Is This The Price? Which was originally released as a tape only EP on Retaliation Records. The tracks have been remastered and mark the first time Asylum have released anything on vinyl. (Sealed Records)

"The debut 5 track 12” EP from Ataque Zero who are part of the creative and cultural punk headquarters in Bogotá - Casa Rat Trap. Ataque Zero are 2 Venezuelans, 1 Colombian and 1 French person and feature members of Muro, Dernier Futur, Exilio and Trampa but this time they have taken a more melodic approach with their sound. This still rages with intensity and passion like the finest Husker Du, Moving Targets, Manifesto Jukebox or Leatherface records. The EP never lets up the pace and has hooks at every turn. Absolutely magical." (Sean Forbes) (Static Shock Records)

Solid black vinyl ltd. to 120. The debut tape (1989) by these long running Peruvian blasting noise maniacs for the first time on vinyl! Sourced from the band’s master and totally kept in its pristine original form. 100 tracks of pure unadulterated NOISECORE NIHILISM!! No riffs, no slowdowns, no fucking music – just brutal, raging NOISECORE at the rawest stage! The absolute feeling of despair, no fun and mental aberration unleashed by the sonic hecatomb of this recording frames the crude and hopeless reality in which it was made, in an extremely impactful way! Booklet with lyrics, old fanzine excerpts and rare drawings. (F.O.A.D. Records)

Out of stockHow does something so vintage sound like such a breath of fresh air?! Berlin's AUS tap into the Heimatland's heritage of notoriously cold and humorless nihilism to produce a danceable sense of dread. When the rhythm section isn't driving us closer to armageddon it's providing a pounding tribal backdrop for brooding and disaffected witchy incantations. Distant guitars cut like broken glass and the synth rises up through the cracks like a blend of cigarette smoke and fog machine. Collectors take note!: Comes in a heavy 320g sleeve with band photo in handstamped wax envelope. Night time only record. (Static Age Music)

Back in stockTheir 2nd album! All Girl Post-Punk from Berlin. Cool and sinister, definitely and positively sounding like a modern reincarnation of X-MAL DEUTSCHLAND! In the recently massive wave of bands being influenced by the early 80s Post-Punk sounds, AUS are still an outstanding appearance, with their icey synth-sounds, minimalistic guitar and bass, and almost tribal (or industrial?) drum beats. And their german lyrics perfectly fit into the atmosphere created. (Static Age Music)

Out of stockIn the late '70s, The Avengers established themselves as one of the US's preeminent punk bands. Fusing incisive guitar hooks, explosive rhythms and adolescent venom, the group forged some of the most in-your-face songs of the era. Their live shows were legendary, playing up and down the West Coast and even blowing Sex Pistols off the stage at the latter's final performance. As Byron Coley writes in the liner notes, "Of the best bands of San Francisco's first wave in 1977, The Avengers were by far the coolest and youngest sounding. They roared without irony, as though this were indeed Year Zero (and, for a moment, it was) with history being overwritten by the new. The honesty of their belief was carried by their sound. And it was convincing!" Originally released in 1983, four years after the band's dissolution, The Avengers' self-titled LP is often referred to as "The Pink Album" for its magenta-hued cover design. Frontwoman Penelope Houston's iconic voice and razor-sharp lyrics resonate on anthems "We Are The One" and "The American In Me," while penetrating ballads like "Corpus Christi" reveal a truly out-of-body euphony. The Pink Album remains The Avengers' definitive statement – collecting their classic Dangerhouse EP, sessions recorded with the Pistols' Steve Jones and a half-dozen revelatory demos. While much has been written about The Avengers in the past three decades, rock critic Greil Marcus puts it succinctly, "The word I always come back to is mystical, and that remains almost theirs alone." Out of stock..first new recording from UKs Axe Grinder in over 10 years " My Plague Queen " for this RSD limited edition of 500 copies Record Store Day Release coupled with u.s metal punks War Plague -"Disease" Forming in 2008, War//Plague have been one of the most dedicated and productive DIY punk bands for the last decade. With 10 releases to date for these veteran Minneapolis punks! War//Plague combine elements of crust punk with a barrage of attacking drum hits, apocalyptic guitar riffs and vocals that are focused on the worlds horrors, self-centered materialism and shallow consumer garbage. Punk is protest! Axegrinder Initially a metallic crust punk band formed 1985/86 by Trev and Matt (members of Stone The Crowz) and Jel and Steve (both in The Proudhons). Their crust/thrash style was influenced by Amebix, but has also been compared to both Motörhead and Venom. In 1987, after the Axegrinder - Grind The Enemy, drummer Jel left and was replaced by Darryn for the Axegrinder - Live demo. The band then signed with Peaceville, off the back of their Squat Tape demo, where they released the track 'Where Evil Dwells' on the Various - A Vile Peace compilation, and then recorded The Rise Of The Serpent Men. Axegrinder also contributed two tracks to the Vile Visions compilation VHS, 'Evilution' and (new song) 'Requi-Anthem', both filmed at Queens Hall, Bradford, 1990, by which time Cliff Evans had joined the band. Axegrinder folded in 1991. While Evans formed death metal band Flesh. The other four members promptly formed Voivod-clones Wartech. In 2016 the band reformed and went into the studio to record …… ."29 years after the release of the cult album Rise of The Serpent Men, Axegrinder are back to unleash a further barrage of their unique sound onto the punk/crust genre. Never afraid to experiment and explore new sounds My Plague Queen sees the band retaining the heaviness of old but developing beyond the Rise material. Some will like it and others will loathe it but the band were always about polarising opinion so...business as usual." (Easy Action Records)

This breathtaking performance displays why Bad Brains became one of the most important bands in the history of American Hardcore. On Christmas Eve 1982, Bad Brains began their three-day stint at a Hardcore Festival hosted by legendary CBGB. This vinyl only release contains audio selections from the DVD release, LIVE CBGB 1982. Sure it sounds confusing, but the material on the LP, while culled from the same series of live shows around Christmas 1982 at CBGBs, is completely different. Besides, who can have enough live stuff from the world's best hardcore band at the peak of their prowess? Includes blazingly awesome live versions of "FVK," "How Low Can a Punk Get," and more. Tracklist A1 The Meek A2 The Regulator A3 Unity Dub A4 Banned In DC A5 Joshua's Song A6 Rally Round Jah's Throne A7 Destroy Babylon B1 Riot Squad B2 I And I Rasta B3 How Low Can A Punk Get? B4 F.V.K. Back in stockThe beyond legendary, totally immortal, Washington D.C. via NYC Rastafarian hardcore and reggae group Bad Brains released their self-titled debut album in January of 1982 on ROIR and performed some of their very first West Coast gigs later that year. The Old Waldorf, at that point owned by Bill Graham, originally opened in 1976 and was host to some of the Bay's most legendary early punk shows featuring The Avengers, The Dead Boys, The Dead Kennedys, and others. Bad Brains played their patented blend of hardcore punk and dub/roots reggae to a packed and frenzied crowd at The Old Waldorf on October 20th, 1982, a now historical live radio broadcast presented here in stunning sound quality on HQ 140 gram vinyl.
