Out of stockOn the wind-bitten plains of Skaraborg, Sweden, the wolves have arisen once again. They are on the prowl, yearning for your blood, warm and fresh. On their tenth full-length album Wolfbrigade go deep and they are ruthless. This time they have only submitted to themselves; from recording to production and art work. Working in isolation resulted in sharpened ears and teeth. The ten songs rip into both body and mind, with no holds barred regarding power, substance and melody. This time around, Wolfbrigade’s hybrid beast of Swedish hardcore and death metal known as Lycanthro Punk has become even more distinct. These ten tracks of destruction display both a love for 80’s metal hooks and intros, as well as primitive hardcore brutality. The lyrics dissect the state of human existence, the bizarre animal presence that we are. The naked apes. Exploring the dynamics that rule man. Power and submission. Manipulation. The injustices of inequality. This is an album seething with anger and frustration. _ Humans are a narcissistic breed, incapable of real change. This album is a way for us to deal with the fact that we are one of a large pack, submitting to the same societal norms as everyone else. No matter how much we would like it to be different. We are all on the same crazy trip. (Southern Lord Records)

The Wolves are back!!! After the success of their latest "Anti-Tank Dogs" 7" the 5 Swedish maniacs decided it's time to repress their debut full length. We are honored once again to be involved in this collaboration that will also have Havoc Records releasing this masterpiece in U.S.A. The release will come with a great new layout and a restored sound that will be fatter and more powerful compared to the original one on a picture disc. What else should we say about this one? We all know Wolfbrigade and how good this record is, so we can't do nothing but wait for it to be released around November 2023. Label: Agipunk

It's finally happening ! In a couple of weeks, the long awaited reissue of In Darkness You Feel No Regrets by Wolfbrigade will be finally available. The second album from the fiercest swedish hardcore punk band has been unavailable for more than a decade and we're very happy to bring it back in 2023, 20 years after its inception. « In Darkness » was one of the most influential records in the very prolific crust / hardcore scene of the early 2000s, ten songs of a perfect mix of brutality and melody and a cover of Poison Idea's Say Goodbye. We were very honored to be able to release the European version of this record in 2003 and the enthusiasm is still real to be able to offer you this reissue 20 years later. The disillusioned rage and urgency of this album remain intact after two decades. This reissue has been carefully prepared coincidentally with the band and packed in a gatefold cover with an impressive artwork by Wolfbrigade's very own bass player Johan Erkenvåg. It comes in a gatefold sleeve and there are clear & black marble and purple & black marble colored vinyl versions available for mailorder. Label: Destructure

It's with extreme joy and happiness that we welcome the Swedish Wolves back home Due to the pressing plant delays we can't provide a release date at the moment, but we'll announce it at least 2 months prior to the actual release. Heard from people I respect that this was going to be a good release, and, of course, the fact that there was a sort of special pressing, I had to jump. It was not what I was expecting. For some reason, I thought this band was going to be more in the metal/crust vein. In turn, this band plays more of an anarcho punk breed of music. But not to pigeonhole the band, the music is more adventurous and intricate. Without resorting to just playing fast to produce energy, they weave in more sonic energy with the layers of sound they produce. The songs are mid tempo but are atmospheric with the interweaving of guitars. With the addition of having two female vocalists and a male vocalist, the singers add another level to the mix. Kind of makes me think of what the next Harum Scarum record might sound like, or if Detestation kept going. I have heard Tragedy references elsewhere and I would also add to that. The power of the music is in the song writing. After listening to this LP, I was really excited to see them live. Me and a couple of hundred can attest to have enjoyed their set." Out of stockOriginally released on Harvest in 1977, Pink Flag is perhaps the most original debut album to come out of the first wave of British punk. Exhibiting severe art school damage, Wire careers at breakneck speed through 21 songs in 36 minutes to create an album that has influenced bands for over fourty years. Remastered Vinyl with Inner Sleeve. (Pinkflag Records)

Out of stockWire’s first three albums need no introduction. They are the three classic albums on which Wire’s reputation is based. Moreover, they are the recordings that minted the post-punk form. This was adopted by other bands, but Wire were there first. It has been a number of years since these albums were readily available. The aim with these new vinyl releases is to approximate the original statements as closely as possible, but with remastered audio. The vinyl releases have the same covers and inners as the originals (minus the Harvest logo). These versions should be considered Wire’s classic 1970s albums, pure and undiluted. 1978’s Chairs Missing represented perhaps the biggest conceptual leap made during this period of Wire and was widely misunderstood at the time yet it remains, to the band and production crew Wire’s favorite ’70s album. If Pink Flag proposed an almost cut and paste approach to deconstructing rock history, Chairs Missing proposed something more radical, a definite futurism with much less influence from it’s antecedents. Chairs Missing was at once more stark and more lush than it’s predecessor and has exerted it’s own influence on the course of cultural history, having laid down one of the earliest (if not the earliest) blueprints for the genuinely post-punk aesthetic. Out of stock“Youth of America” is pressed on high-quality vinyl at RTI and packaged in a sturdy, old-fashioned tip-on sleeve. The tracks have been mastered from original tapes by Greg Sage himself, and the cover is identical to the original sleeve as issued in 1981. Simply obliterating any conception of the Wipers as a mere punk band, Greg Sage released this follow-up to “Is This Real?” in 1981—a sophisticated, overwhelming response to the evil times marked by the turn of the decade. Broken up into six long songs, “Youth of America” is a much colder, harrowing experience than the teen angst of their debut. Vocally, Sage comes off as sleep-deprived and forsaken, snarling not only at his own predicament but at the predicament of the entire world. (Jackpot Records)

Out of stockFollow Blind belongs to the best albums Wipers has to offer, although it's a slight change in musical direction compared to their previous releases. The music is more related to the psychedelic garage rock as it sounds like the more distorted punk rock. The guitar play from Greg Sage is more prominent mixed into the sounds as a whole. It's still one of their least famous records, but it's worth more than just one spin. The Wipers were a punk rock group formed in Portland, Oregon in 1977 formed by guitarist/songwriter Greg Sage. The group's tight song structure and use of heavy distortion were hailed as very influential by many critics and musicians alike. The band is considered the first Pacific Northwest punk band. Follow Blind is available as a limited edition of 750 numbered copies on silver coloured vinyl. 180 gram audiophile vinyl. (Music On Vinyl)

The Wild Boys were originally formed by Roddy (Radiation) Byers in the mid 70’s, before he left the band to join The Specials. His younger brother Mark, along with John Thomson and Rob Lapworth took over the band, recruiting Tony Lynch on drums. They began furiously rehearsing and honing their craft, biding their time before taking to the stage with an incredibly tight set. That quickly caught the attention of local audiences and national record companies, gaining them a growing following and recognition as a tour de force on the Coventry music scene. Coventry in 1980 was caught in the spotlight of the success of the Specials and a number of the Wild Boys songs written by Roddy Byers were recorded by the Specials. However, Jerry Dammers didn’t think that Byers song “We’re Only Monsters” was right for The Specials, so the Wild Boys new line-up immediately seized it and made it their own. The A side of the 1980 single ‘Last one of the boys’ was a song written by Johnnie Thomson, the lead singer and rhythm guitarist. But it was the B-side, the Roddy Byers penned live favourite ‘We’re Only Monsters’, that caught the public imagination and garnered the most radio play, receiving multiple plays on UK radio stations, including spins on the John Peel show and the Radio 1 morning rush hour slot. It was also spotlighted on Emperor Roscoe’s Round Table show, dissected and evaluated by a panel of high-profile celebrity judges. The exposure from this airplay saw the band begin to play larger venues, undertaking a tour of London venues, headlining shows at Malvern Winter Gardens and in their hometown at the Lanchester Polytechnic Freshers Ball, and attracting offers of support slots with UB40, The Selecter and The Specials. The profile of the band continued to rise rapidly and they were approached to write and perform songs in the Belgrade Theatre musical ‘Risky City’, a dark look at the violent underbelly of Coventry. After the initial run in the smaller Belgrade Studio, the show moved up to the Belgrade main theatre, which also saw bassist Rob depart for a successful career in photography, to be replaced by Garry Cox, poached from local band Protégé. However, by this point the pressure had begun to tell and the band started to fall apart. After a run of chaotic, alcohol fuelled shows and in 1981 they decided to call it a day, leaving behind memories of incendiary performances and a legacy of great songs. In the early seventies, Detroit was the musical hub of America. Everything from the chart topping sounds of Motown records to the vicious proto-punk of The Stooges was being brewed out there and it seemed like there was no end in sight. But by the early eighties, the city was both a physical and cultural wasteland due to major label buyouts of the artists as well as the crippling drug habits of some of the others. Detroit's most known musical export at the time was the vapid sounds of New Wave heart-throbs The Romantics; this wasn't good. It took a gaggle of suburban skateboarders, a grade school teacher and a census bureau clerk to wake this city up from it's slumber and start one of the first hardcore punk scenes in America. Why Be Something That You're Not chronicles the first wave of Detroit hardcore from it's origins in the late seventies to it's demise in the mid-eighties. Through a combination of oral history and extensive imagery, the book proves that even though the southern california beach towns might have created the look and style of hardcore punk, it was the Detroit scene - along with a handfull of other cities across the country - that cultivated the music's grassroots aesthetic before most cultural hot spots around the globe even knew what the music was about. "The Michigan hardcore scene was a crazy mixture of DC-style teen-thug-purists and debauched elders with a taste for the newest in high energy freedom. Tony Rettman has done a great service to Western Culture by interviewing the prime knuckleheads involved in this scene and reporting what he finds." -Byron Coley Co-Author of No Wave: New York 1976-1980 --From the Back Cover In the early seventies, Detroit was the musical hub of America. Out of stock"If you look at the band photo on Make Me Sick’s insert, you’ll see people from pretty much all the best and most popular hardcore punk bands in Pittsburgh for the past few years. These people know how to make great hardcore punk, and Make Me Sick is White Stains doing just that. While White Stains isn’t as as blistering as Loose Nukes or as brutally intense as Blood Pressure, that’s only because they’ve taken a different tack here, channeling the snotty, punky hardcore of bands like the Circle Jerks, Sick Pleasure, and Chronic Sick. Of those bands, Circle Jerks is the most apt comparison given how White Stains’ snottiness comes along with so much catchiness and rhythmic density. And like Group Sex, the drum parts are almost catchier than the riffs here… I need to be careful listening to this while driving because these songs might make steering seem less important than air drumming" (Daniel Lupton) European press.
