Out of stockThe astounding debut album that established the SUBHUMANS as a genuine force to be reckoned with, The Day The Country Died, captured both the band’s serious anarcho-punk ideology and their irreverent sense of humour. It was apparent from the off that here was a band that could not only stimulate your brain but also put a big shit-eating grin on your face as you jumped about to them. And the now-iconic artwork by Nick Lant—probably his most recognisable piece of work for the band—has adorned countless thousands of jackets and t-shirts since. Recorded over just four days during the heady summer of 1982 and released six months later in January 1983, when it quickly climbed to No. 3 in the UK’s then-important independent charts. This exhilarating collection of songs has endured for four decades with the band still regularly kicking their live set off with the opening track “All Gone Dead”. As a staple of the punk scene, ALL of the SUBHUMANS records are still in high demand, and this long-overdue repress of this album couldn’t be coming at a better time. SUBHUMANS are one of the most influential bands from the UK, anarcho-punk scene of the ’80s, filed right alongside CRASS and CONFLICT, and just as relevant today as they were during the darkest days of Thatcher’s Britain. Take your choice in how to label them—punk, UK82, crusty, etc.—therein lies the attraction and consequent reason for their popularity, the band epitomizes non-conformity and connects with people in many different scenes. This album is an essential piece of history in the world of punk that SUBHUMANS helped create. Black Vinyl. (Pirate Press Records)

This Back Dots set represents the earliest Bad Brains music. It was recorded soon after their 1979 formation in the home of producer Don Zientara and remained unreleased until belatedly seeing the light of day in 1996. The record has been difficult to find on vinyl after quickly going out of print. It’s a breathless, often exhilarating, always intense ride with the 16 cuts barely breaking a half hour. All but one is under three minutes with a handful under two. And even if the reggae influences that informed the Brains’ sound at their height aren’t apparent, this shows how tight and together they were early on. Official reissue. Out of stockThe third chapter in the decade long existence of one of the most depraved Portland hardcore bands ever. If you know, you know, as LONG KNIFE has channeled and perfected the POISON IDEA sound, though if you pay attention to their catalog, you can see how they have evolved into their own beast over the years, making the PI comparisons trite. Every song on this record offers something different, whether it’s keyboards, horns (yep), what sounds to be operatic gang vocals, or just straight up hardcore bangers. This LP still maintains the intensity, insanity, and aggression these maniacs are known for, though there seems to be a bit more melody thrown in under the chaos this time. The riffs, solos, bass licks and Colin’s vocals/lyrics are just as awesome as ever. And of course, the lyrics are just as cynical, disturbing, and well written as we’ve come to expect. There is no slowing down for these guys and the Earth is ready to be curb stomped again and again with LONG KNIFE’s fucked up pummelling songs for these fucked up times. Each record comes in a deluxe package – thick jacket, printed inner sleeve and a huge poster plus stunning cover art by Alina Radetsky. Label: Beach Impediment Records

Available for the first time since 1994. Some of the best material from both bands extensive catalogue. This time on a 12' format. DOOM was a band which were pivotal in the rise of crust punk and originated from Birmingham. Doom continued with different guitarist, most notably with Dave Talbot who co-founded UK doom metal band SOLSTICE with SORE THROAT’s vocalist Rich Walker, but did not settle with four members for long playing numerous gigs as a three piece,as Pickering turned to vocal and guitar duties. This line up continued until a final split in August 1990. Following the group’s demise Pickering formed Police Bastard, whilst drummer Stick joined ENT then DIRT. This records still sound heavy, fuzzy, dirty and mean as hell!! (Sonarize Records)

Doom never have been big on subtlety, and here there is no change in direction. They continue with the tried and true d-beat crust they pioneered in the 80's. This record was recorded in 2001. "Fire of Love' is the no-nonsense debut from blues-punk legends The Gun Club. Formed in 1979 - when singer Jeffrey Lee Pierce taught a young Kid Congo Powers to play guitar - the band injects the Delta blues, rockabilly and '60s garage with their own amplified fury. Originally released in 1981 on Slash's sub-label Ruby Records, 'Fire of Love' features the classic second lineup with Ward Dotson on guitar (replacing Powers, who left to join The Cramps) and The Bags' rhythm section. Opener 'Sex Beat' shakes and stutters through a dynamic slab of American rock 'n' roll that reverberates throughout the album. 'She's Like Heroin to Me' is perhaps Pierce's most famous paean to modern love, elevating him to raucous demigod of the underground. Label: Munster Records Barcode: 8435008825614

Out of stock"Baptised In Shit" is the 1995 debut album of Manchesters crucial-crust institution EXTINCTION OF MANKIND. Reissued via Ruin Nation Records and available again on vinyl for the first time in 17 Years and for the very first time as digital download! Originally published in 1995 by Skuld Releases, written and recorded by the (semi) original line up you find the E.O.M. sound pointing more towards a unique combination of early 80´s UK Peace-Punk like ICONS OF FILTH with a heavy dose of ANTI-SECT influence but with a far superior 90´s production and a really heavy guitar-ridden sound that remind me quite a bit of CELTIC FROST. Tracked, recorded and mixed 1995 at the legendary Whitehouse Studios by Martin Nichols who also took great care in remastering and adjusting the songs from the original DAT master for the digital download that comes with the vinyl. We also restored all the original artwork and the package includes a 12" sized 6 panel folder with all lyrics as well as artwork by Squeal, Nick Blinko and Paul Smith. Also included is a B2 sized version of the Poster that came with the original pressing. First 400 copies come on limited yellow and black marbled vinyl and will be shipped around the 4th of October. Additional black vinyl copies will be delayed to early 2022 so don't sleep on this one. Recorded and mixed by Martin Nichols at Whitehouse Studios 11, 12, 14th May '95. Digital Tracks remastered by Martin Nichols at Whitehouse Studios 8th September '21. (Ruin Nation Records)

“Once the sadness of their 2020 canceled American tour was gone, Chain Cult went back to the practice space to write new songs, it was a perfect way to keep finding meaning in a world at a standstill. They are back stronger than ever with two new raging post-punk anthems, they’re bringing exactly what we need in these troubled times. These two songs give us elements for reflection on our lives, a good occasion to think about what we miss and what we want for the future. « We’re not Alone » and « Always a mess » show the band at its best. The very powerful rhythm section allows the guitarist to play the most beautiful and dark melodies and the singer to chant the catchy choruses that Chain Cult is known for. During uncertain times, it is good to be surrounded by people you trust to continue moving forward ; in this spirit Chain Cult has kept the same recipe as for their previous records. No one can say what the future holds and we can’t act like this is normal but always shall we remember that we’re not alone in this world” (Nico Destructure) Label: La Vida Es Un Mus Records
