Axegrinder’s influential Crust Thrash Metal release from 1988 available on vinyl with its original artwork. Rise of the Serpent Men was recorded at Lion Studios in Leeds in 1988 and released the same year. Axegrinder’s strong AMEBIX-like grind sensibility appealed to Punks and Metal-Heads alike, and the band's first and only album Rise of the Serpent Men featured artwork contributions created by Jeff Walker (of UK Metal masters Carcass). The band has gained a strong cult following in countries such as Japan over the years and has lately seen a new period of activity, with a studio album in the offing, along with plans for extensive live work. This 2017 vinyl edition of ‘Rise of the Serpent Men’ marks 30 years of Peaceville and is released as part of the early classics selection to commemorate the occasion. (Peaceville Records)

Three times in the last sixty years musical movements have played a vital role in confronting the rise of fascist organisations in Britain - The Stars Campaign for Interracial Friendship in the 1950s, Rock Against Racism in the late 1970s and Love Music Hate Racism in the first two decades of the 21st century. This book is a tribute to those three musical movements and the musicians, activists and youth subcultures that surrounded them, and an in-depth study of the rise of modern fascist movements and the political strategies needed to defeat them. • "I And I Survive" is a 1982 EP by Bad Brains, released on the heels of their iconic self-titled debut album. Like the band's subsequent album "Rock for Light", the recordings were produced by Ric Ocasek. The release was previously out of print for nearly four decades. This reissue marks the third release in the remaster campaign, re-launching the Bad Brains Records label imprint. In coordination with the band, Org Music has overseen the restoration and remastering of the iconic Bad Brains’ recordings. The audio was mastered by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering and pressed at Furnace Record Pressing. TRACK LISTING Side 1: I And I Survive A1 Destroy Babylon A2 Coptic Times A3 Joshua's Song (Bad Brains Records ‎/ ORG Music)
  • This breathtaking performance displays why Bad Brains became one of the most important bands in the history of American Hardcore. On Christmas Eve 1982, Bad Brains began their three-day stint at a Hardcore Festival hosted by legendary CBGB. This vinyl only release contains audio selections from the DVD release, LIVE CBGB 1982. Sure it sounds confusing, but the material on the LP, while culled from the same series of live shows around Christmas 1982 at CBGBs, is completely different. Besides, who can have enough live stuff from the world's best hardcore band at the peak of their prowess? Includes blazingly awesome live versions of "FVK," "How Low Can a Punk Get," and more. Tracklist A1 The Meek A2 The Regulator A3 Unity Dub A4 Banned In DC A5 Joshua's Song A6 Rally Round Jah's Throne A7 Destroy Babylon B1 Riot Squad B2 I And I Rasta B3 How Low Can A Punk Get? B4 F.V.K. The beyond legendary, totally immortal, Washington D.C. via NYC Rastafarian hardcore and reggae group Bad Brains released their self-titled debut album in January of 1982 on ROIR and performed some of their very first West Coast gigs later that year. The Old Waldorf, at that point owned by Bill Graham, originally opened in 1976 and was host to some of the Bay's most legendary early punk shows featuring The Avengers, The Dead Boys, The Dead Kennedys, and others. Bad Brains played their patented blend of hardcore punk and dub/roots reggae to a packed and frenzied crowd at The Old Waldorf on October 20th, 1982, a now historical live radio broadcast presented here in stunning sound quality on HQ 140 gram vinyl. (Radio X/Unofficial Release)
  • Quickness is the fourth full-length studio album by Bad Brains, originally released by Caroline Records in 1989. This reissue marks the fifth release in the remaster campaign, re-launching the Bad Brains Records label imprint. In coordination with the band, Org Music has overseen the restoration and remastering of the iconic Bad Brains’ recordings. The audio was mastered by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering and pressed at Furnace Record Pressing. (Bad Brains Records ‎/ ORG Music)
  • Rock for Light is the second full-length album by Bad Brains, released in 1983. It was produced by Ric Ocasek of The Cars. We’re proud to present the original mix of the album, for the first time in decades, as the band originally intended. Most fans will be more familiar with the 1991 reissue, which was remixed by Ocasek and bass player Darryl Jenifer. In addition to new mixes, that version used an altered track order. This reissue marks the fourth release in the remaster campaign, re-launching the Bad Brains Records label imprint. In coordination with the band, Org Music has overseen the restoration and remastering of the iconic Bad Brains’ recordings. The audio was mastered by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering and pressed at Furnace Record Pressing. This is the classic album from 1982. Virtually everyone agrees that this group made up of 4 DC African American. They radically quickened punk's tempos, added virtuoso instrumentation, and topped it all off with the mystic squeals of frontman Paul "H.R." Hudson. This release gives voice to the band's scathing sociopolitical judgment as well as its ability to simply put the hammer down and rock. It also allows the rhythm section of Darryl Jenifer and Earl Hudson to flex their muscle on a smattering of dub-reggae interludes that help lull the unsuspecting into the right frame of mind for the next hardcore punch. TRACK LISTING A1 Coptic Times A2 Attitude A3 We Will Not A4 Sailin' On A5 Rally Round Jah Throne A6 Right Brigade A7 F.V.K. Bad Brains is the self-titled debut studio album recorded by American hardcore punk/reggae band Bad Brains. Recorded in 1981 and released on (then) cassette-only label ROIR on February 5, 1982, many fans refer to it as "The Yellow Tape" because of its yellow packaging. Though Bad Brains had recorded the 16 song Black Dots album in 1979 and the 5-song Omega Sessions EP in 1980, the ROIR cassette was the band's first release of anything longer than a single. This reissue marks the second release in the remaster campaign, re-launching the Bad Brains Records label imprint. In coordination with the band, Org Music has overseen the restoration and remastering of the iconic Bad Brains’ recordings. Bad Religion began in the sprawling suburbs surrounding Los Angeles, with the teenage punks offering an impassioned counterpoint to a culture of consumerism and anti-intellectualism. Founding members Greg Graffin, Brett Gurewitz, and Jay Bentley were eventually joined by guitarists Brian Baker of Minor Threat, Mike Dimkich of The Cult, and drummer Jamie Miller of …And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead. Bad Religion have been highly influential force in modern punk, producing beloved international hits like Infected, 21st Century (Digital Boy), and Sorrow, and building a devoted worldwide following. Bad Religion are set to release their new album Age of Unreason, which can be described as “a musical manifesto on the current political landscape.” In a world still brimming with rampant anti-intellectualism, inequality and oppression, the band’s signature brand of sonically charged humanist dissent seems as relevant as ever. With printed inner sleeve with band info + pics, and large fold-out insert with lyrics. 180gr vinyl. (Epitaph Records)

Bad Religion's Christmas album, Christmas Songs, is available now. Who better to help you celebrate that most wonderful time of the year than holiday favorites Bad Religion? Bad Religion have threatened to record an album of seasonal classics for years, and now they’ve gone and done it, tackling eight chestnuts in their classic punk rock style. From “White Christmas” with its nod to pioneers The Ramones, to the glorious choirboy intro to “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” Christmas Songs is the record you need to get your holiday household’s toes tapping. Nothing says Christmas like Bad Religion. (Epitaph Records)
  • How Could Hell Be Any Worse? is the first full-length album released by Bad Religion, which was released on January 19, 1982. Bad Religion has become synonymous with intelligent and provocative West Coast punk rock and are considered one of the most influential and important bands in the genre. Over the past three decades the band has continually pushed social boundaries and questioned authority and beliefs armed only with propulsive guitars, charging drumbeats, thoughtful lyrics and an undying will to inspire and provoke anyone who will listen. The New America is the eleventh album from Bad Religion, and was originally released in 2000. The album features the songs, “New America”, “The Hopeless Housewife” and “I Love My Computer.” (Epitaph Records)
  • "No Control" is one of the albums that helped bridge Bad Religion's more reckless, earlier direction with their more focused (but just as pissed-off) '90s-era with the strength of such cuts as "Big Bang," "Automatic Man," the title track and "I Want To Conquer The World." "No Control" is one of the band's best all-time albums and an archetypal blueprint for the genre. Bad Religion has been setting the standard for years; this album is yet another stone in the band's long road to identity and style. (Epitaph Records/2004)

The Empire Strikes First... 14 songs that are fresh, focused, and absolutely alive in the way that great rock 'n' roll energizes everything it touches. It's been a long road from their early-80s beginnings, but these days, the primary concerns of Graffin and Gurewitz are not the band's intricate (and subtle) years-long evolution; they're first and foremost topical songwriters focused on domestic chaos and its global manifestation. Bad Religion is, after all, the outfit that, during the first Gulf War in 1991, shared a Maximum Rock 'n' Roll split seven-inch with radical MIT professor Noam Chomsky, who, like them, is locked into the tense present and dedicated to exposing the forces who lie and disguise to deepen and enforce human misery. The truth is that after 20+ years, Bad Religion meet the present day not only unfettered by nostalgia, but hardwired into the moment. Fans take the band's growth and standards for granted. It's tempting to say-- though impossible to prove-- that the The Empire Strikes First is a such a terrific album because vocalist Graffin and guitarist Gurewitz, the band's most important creative forces, are responding to the death, desolation, and destruction of war, and to the concurrent attacks on the Bill of Rights; it seems more than just a happy accident that the band has just delivered one of its most charged and inspired records in years.
