    RANCID | let’s go | LP

    23.00 incl. tax
Rancid"s classic second LP, originally released in 1994, is disarmingly good from start to finish. With roots set firmly in their Berkeley punk rock origins, on Let"s Go Rancid set out with heart, soul and vehemence to reach new heights in their music. Some of the highlights are "Salvation," "Radio," and "Nihilism," but all the of the songs bristle with the unmatched signature of Tim Armstrong"s intensely evocative writing style. Recorded in their hometown of Berkeley CA, at legendary Fantasy Studios and mixed in Los Angeles at Westbeach Recorders, Let"s Go foreshadows the ground breaking success that would be found on their next record, And Out Come the Wolves. Label: Epitaph Records Barcode: 0045778736119
  • Raw, violent and catchy, Blitz's 1982 debut album sounded like a shot of pure rock and roll through the violence of the English working class. Made up by two punks and two skinheads, with a lot to say about violence and football, Blitz appealed to all kinds of lowlifes, who finally had a voice for their generation. Total classic. Too Tough to Die is the eighth studio album by the American punk rock band the Ramones. It was released on October 1, 1984, and is the first Ramones record to feature Richie Ramone on drums. With ex-member Tommy Ramone producing, the recording process was similar to that of the band's 1976 self-titled debut album. Likewise, the record's style—both lyrically and compositionally—saw the band returning to their roots. The photograph on the album cover, which features silhouettes of the band members, resulted from a "lucky accident" after photographer George DuBose's camera malfunctioned. Social Distortion's third eponymous album from 1990 turned out to be their best-known work and would come to spawn the most hits, with singles "Ball And Chain", "Story Of My Life" and the Johnny Cash cover "Ring Of Fire". It mixed Punk with Rockabilly, Blues & Country, and split the difference between Rockabilly and Ramones-style Punk. This album strikes a chord with those seeking the roots of punk grunge rock heritage. Albums like this prove why Social Distortion was able to survive the demise of the LA Hardcore scene with flair and come out on top! After 40 years of performing, Social Distortion continues to tour and record music. To date, they released seven full-length studio albums and several compilations. Social Distortion is available as a limited edition of 2.500 copies on blue and silver swirled vinyl. 180 gram audiophile vinyl Including Insert Label: Music on Vinyl

Acid Eaters is the thirteenth studio album by American punk rock band Ramones. Released in 1993, towards the end of the Ramones' career, the album is the band's first and only album entirely composed of covers. Acid Eaters forms a musical tribute to the Ramones' favorite artists of the 1960s and highlights the influences the Ramones took from garage rock bands like the Seeds and the Amboy Dukes, as well as from popular bands such as the Beach Boys, the Who and the Rolling Stones (all of whom are covered on this album). “Youth of America” is pressed on high-quality vinyl at RTI and packaged in a sturdy, old-fashioned tip-on sleeve. The tracks have been mastered from original tapes by Greg Sage himself, and the cover is identical to the original sleeve as issued in 1981. Simply obliterating any conception of the Wipers as a mere punk band, Greg Sage released this follow-up to “Is This Real?” in 1981—a sophisticated, overwhelming response to the evil times marked by the turn of the decade. Broken up into six long songs, “Youth of America” is a much colder, harrowing experience than the teen angst of their debut. Vocally, Sage comes off as sleep-deprived and forsaken, snarling not only at his own predicament but at the predicament of the entire world. (Jackpot Records)

The classic 1977 punk album - remastered and repackaged for its 40th anniversary. Now with 20-page booklet in a 'remus' card gatefold sleeve with notes and lyrics. Sole surviving Heartbreaker Walter Lure is touring 'LAMF' with an all-star line-up. * In 1977 this classic punk album had a sound flaw and wasn't heard properly until 1994 - after both former New York Dolls Johnny Thunders and Jerry Nolan had died. Now songs like 'Born To Lose' and 'Chinese Rocks' are acclaimed as punk anthems. The album has been remastered and repackaged to celebrate its 40th anniversary. Includes 20-page booklet with the background story of recording in punk London, and lyrics, in a card gatefold sleeve. The sole surviving Heartbreaker, Walter Lure, has been playing the album with an all-star line-up (members of Blondie, Replacements, MC5). * "That 'L.A.M.F.', the only album by Johnny Thunders' swaggering, smacked-up post New York Dolls outfit, The Heartbreakers, is one of New York punk's defining artefacts (despite being recorded in Britain), is beyond dispute. 12 songs that put the guitarist's abiding passions - Chuck Berry, The Rolling Stones, Phil Spector and Shadow Morton girl groups, glam, garage, trash and junk - in perfect, speedy collision." - Damien Love, Uncut mag, 9/10. Originally released on the Philips label in 1978, and highly acclaimed as one of the best punk records EVER, The Kids' debut album is now reissued on vinyl, with two bonus tracks recorded in 1977. This is pure and quintessential punk rock. The second release on Radiation Deluxe Series, this classic punk LP is reissued on 180-gram vinyl in a deluxe 350-gram cardboard sleeve. • US Import. Death were a black power trio from Detroit who released a single in 1975 and pretty much disappeared after that. Inspired by the raw Rock 'N' Roll of the Stooges and MC5, the three brothers moved away from their Funk/R&B roots into a new realm.... for the Whole World to See features the two songs from the single ('Keep on Knocking' and 'Politicians in My Eyes') and five other tracks. MOS DEF SAYS: "These dudes were pre-Sex Pistols, pre-Bad Brains, pre-all that shit, and nobody knows about them. I don't understand how the world could forget them. You really should read up on the history of this Rock n' Roll artifact. A google search will help; something like "death band punk 1974"... The album reminds me of these bands: MC5, The Jam, Zero Boys, Early Police, RadioBirdMan - to name a few. If any of those bands are at your top 10, then this is a must have piece in your collection. NOTE: They are also selling it on vinyl on here!!! The story to this piece of work is very interesting not to mention inspiring to say the least. The songs? All are hits in my mind. I just wish there were more!" Label: Drag City Records Barcode: 781484038719
  • X | los angeles | LP

    30.00 incl. tax
Edition on 180-gram audiophile vinyl, coming with an insert. 'Los Angeles' is the debut album of the American punk rock band X, originally released in 1980. Most punk bands used their musical inability to create their own style, but X actually consisted of some truly gifted musicians, including rockabilly guitarist Billy Zoom, bassist John Doe, and front woman Exene Cervenka. Although they are tagged as a punk rock act, X are not easily categorized. Besides punk and loads of electricity, they also added country and folk flavours. Label: Music On Vinyl
  • The first, best and only Stiff Little Fingers album that you need. Released originally in 1979 as the first album ever on Rough Trade, it is harsh, brutal, primitive punk rock with sadly still relevant lyrics about the troubles in Northern Ireland. This stands head and shoulders above all other albums of the time. Their punk rock aesthetic is authentic, with raw lyricism and harsh instrumentation. Containing the anthemic track Alternative Ulster, Stiff Little Fingers promote the ‘grab it and change it’ narrative. Label: Parlophone Records Barcode: 190295448271

Official Repress of the second TRAGEDY Album on Skuld Releases, this time in the original package of the US Pressing (Tragedy Records) - This is the sound of impending doom! The songs are epic, melodic, powerful and crushing - all at once!! Tragedy is fast and extremely heavy hardcore with melancholic melodies and pissed off as fuck vocals. I would say that this record is even better than their first one, even when I thought that this is not possible. You can taste the athmosphere of the songs, while the music crawls under your skin - awesome! Label: Skuld Records
  • A pure shot of abrasive punk/rock 'n' roll with a hint of working class Oi!, Blitz were among the most influential punk bands ever. It was Gary Bushell (who wrote for "Sounds" and was later dubbed the God Father of Oi!) who brought the band to the attention of his friend Chris Berry, who had just set up No Future records with a bank loan and high hopes. No Future 001 catalog (and Blitz's debut release) was a 4 track EP titled "All Out Attack", a 20,000 copy bestseller that made the label's fortune, later to become the most representative of the whole UK82 movement. Its follow-up, "Never Surrender", reached number 2 in the Indie charts, while their 3rd EP, "Warriors", showed their slight move towards the singalong-style of classic OI!. Before shifting to a more new wave-influenced vein right by the end of 1983, they managed to reach number 2 in the charts with a fourth and last 'punk' single, "New Age". This 1980-1983 complete retrospective features all four aforementioned singles along with their very first recording session from 1980, the legendary 'Timebomb' demos, and 4 cuts from the "Voice Of A Generation" demos!  Label: Radiation Records Barcode: 889397101343

In 1996 Social Distortion released their 5th album, White Light, White Heat, White Trash. The line-up featured a new drummer Chuck Biscuits (Black Flag/Danzig and many more). White Light, White Heat, White Trash was the last album with Dennis Danell on guitar (he sadly died in February 2000). The album received Social Distortion's highest ever chart position, entering the Billboard 200 album chart at #27. It also includes radio favourites "I Was Wrong", "When The Angels Sing" and a superb cover version of the Stones' "Under My Thumb". Stylistically, the album is harder and considered a return to their hardcore punk roots. Social Distortion is nothing less than a legend in the punk genre and still continues to receive worldwide respect and support.  Comes with insert.

Never Mind the Bollocks perfectly articulated the frustration, rage, and dissatisfaction of the British working class with the establishment, a spirit quick to translate itself to strictly rock & roll terms. The Pistols paved the way for countless other bands to make similarly rebellious statements, but arguably none were as daring or effective. It's easy to see how the band's roaring energy, overwhelmingly snotty attitude, and Rotten's furious ranting sparked a musical revolution, and those qualities haven't diminished one bit over time. Never Mind the Bollocks is simply one of the greatest, most inspiring rock records of all time. Part of the 'Back To Black' series of releases of classic albums. • PNV Records reissue of the debut album by the Anti-Nowhere League, originally issued on WXYZ Records in 1982! Despite the obnoxious band’s reputation and the legal persecution that the group faced due to its obscene lyrics, the album remained No1 for many weeks in the independent charts and it became from its release day an instant UK Punk Rock Classic! Loaded with more piss and vinegar than one can almost handle in a single album, this is what most people think of when they think of classic Punk, the kind of Punk that frightened the squares, and parents and annoyed the authorities. The kind of album that throw on at a party and the house is sure to be destroyed by nights end. Label: Puke n Vomit

The debut LP from the seminal Slaughter & The Dogs, one of the first wave of Punk bands that shook up the music industry in the 1977 Punk Explosion - Includes the singles Where Have All The Boot Boys Gone , Quick Joey Small and Dame To Blam. Slaughter And The Dogs first came to the blank generation nation's attention when they blagged the hard-fought support slot to the Sex Pistols' legendary Manchester debut in July 1976. While uniformly squeezed into the haphazard haberdashery of the Kings Road, Slaughter's hearts belonged in another era. They were named by combining album titles from Mick Ronson and David Bowie, covered Velvet Underground and New York Dolls material and grew their hair back as soon as it seemed reasonably safe to do so. Consequently, their glam-angled three chord plummets always seemed slightly contrived, yet the cartoon yob ludicrousness of Do It Dog Style is nothing short of irresistible. The Cult's Billy Duffy started his career in a later Slaughter line-up, and even Morrissey auditioned for their perpetually up-for-grabs vocalist role, but ultimately all you really need to know about Slaughter is that their drummer was called Mad Muffet. In the history of punk, the Sex Pistols reign supreme; the anarchic quartet changed the history of popular culture forever with their caustic rupture of rock, a mixture of shock and awe that gave two fingers to the establishment, kick-starting a musical revolution. • Puke n Vomit Records presents a reissue of Pure Hell sole full-length album, recorded in 1978 but not released until 2006. In 1974, on the streets of Philadelphia, a band unlike any other was formed. They called themselves Pretty Poison. They had a sound so ahead of its time that the music industry was not yet ready for it. They coupled the punk sound of the New York bands of the time with a harder, faster heavy metal edge unheard before. Their unique sound was a result of Kenny Gordon's berserk choreography and Preston Morris's needling guitar riffs, while Steel and Spider added synchronized barrage with no nonsense execution to the arsenal. Inspired by the famous fuel-altered dragster, they changed their name to Pure Hell in 1975. Soon after, they moved to New York City where they played with bands like the New York Dolls, Sid Vicious, Wayne County and the Electric Chairs, The Dead Boys, The Stimulators, Richard Hell, The Germs, The Nuns, The Cramps and more. In 1978 Pure Hell headlined a tour of the UK, with bands like the UK Subs, Wilko Johnson, Vermilion & the Aces and more opening for them. While in the UK, their only original record was released. It was a single released by their manager Curtis Knight on his label, Golden Sphinx Records. The songs on the single were "These Boots Were Made for Walking" and "No Rules." The single charted in the top 40 charts in the UK. During the same year, a full length album was recorded but was never released. It did not surface again for 28 years. Label: Puke n Vomit Records
