• Before going on their Spanish mini-tour with the Dutch hard-core band BGK in November 1984, Anti/Dogmatikss made a first stop at the Marathon Studios in Barcelona, recording 11 songs that would turn into their first self-published cassette to be sold on that same tour. The demo was titled “Rompan filas!!!” (Break Ranks!!!). Musically, the recording shows the evolution of the band towards a more hard-core sound, accelerated and furious, closer to the style of the Italians Wretched. It included tracks like the now classic “Fuego en la Moncloa” (Fire at the Moncloa), “Piérdete!” (Get Lost), “Anti-U.S.A>> (a song by the band Epidemia with a guest chorus by Quoque from Kangrena), “Hacienda>>, <Rompan Filas by ANTI-DOGMATIKSS
  • AVIADOR DRO Y SUS OBREROS ESPECIALIZADOS formed in the Prosperidad Neighbourhood of Madrid in 1979. Influenced equally by Dadaism and Futurist ideas as by the contemporary sounds of bands such as DEVO, THROBBING GRISTLE or CABARET VOLTAIRE, they started creating their own brand of electronic music. Soon after the band won the third prize of a local Battle of The Bands show and were given a record deal as a prize that resulted in La Chica De Plexiglás 7” (Movieplay-1980) and La Vision 7” (Movieplay-1981) both of which were recorded at the same session with a third 7” recorded but not released at the time. Faced with the total lack of interest showed by the label and feeling alienated in a Music World which wasn’t the one they dreamed of, they decided to do what dozens of their peers were doing worldwide; They started their own label, Discos Radioactivos Organizados (DRO) following the steps of Factory or Industrial Records. Faced with the exit of three members who left the band to form a more radical band (ESPLENDOR GEOMETRICO), AVIADOR DRO entered Doublewtronix studios to record Nuclear Sí, marking the birth of the Independent Music Industry in Spain. The four tracks on the EP became instant classics with Nuclear Sí being the absolute standout track, while Varsovia en Llamas, Sintonia Del Refugio Atomico and Godzilla were perfect nuggets of Synth-punk who remain amongst the greatest Spanish Pop songs ever. Originally hand-assembled, hand-coloured, self-released and distributed in the total DIY spirit, the first release of DRO remains a perfect example of what a bunch of teenagers can achieve armed with just their youthful energy and idealism. Nuclear Si, was repressed three times and has been out of print since the early 80’s. This reissue of 500 radioactive green vinyl comes out in the year that AVIADOR DRO celebrates its 40 anniversary with a book released and an anniversary tour. Label: La Vida Es Un Mus Records

Un Último Ultrasonido Nació Y Murió En Barcelona is Barcelona’s sophomore 12” of pure sonic nihilism. A band of highs and lows. High concept as performance and low brow as execution. In my eyes Barcelona is simply a genius project, capable of create their own universe and vomit all over it. Their formula of distortion to the max, total free-ness and improvisation with regurgitated bass lines and repetitive primitive beats topped with the sharpest and nastiest lyrics as observation of our own futility and misery. In their own universe you can find Hermann Nitsch, or the entire catalogue of ESP Disks hanging out with Manolo Kabezabolo and Eskorbuto. Probably without them being aware of it. All of the above is what you’ll find in the 13 songs on this disturbing record wrapped around again in artwork but the last artist on earth Oriol Roca. (La Vida Es Un Mus Records)
  • Seven long years have passed since Barcelona beauties Belgrado last bestowed a full length upon the citizens of Planet Earth, but the wait is over, and ‘Intra Apogeum’ is here to make your life worth living again. With a new bassist in tow, a couple of fresh-out-the-box synths, and drummer Jonathan Sirit switching from kit-bashing to button-pushing, you might be forgiven for thinking your favourite post-punkers have gone cuckoo and lost it. But fear not – more than a decade in the game and Belgrado still know What They Are Doing. Eight sleek-n-chic numbers that simultaneously burn white hot and ice cold. As with their previous record ‘Obraz’, Belgrado have taken the Xmal Banshees template and bled out in all directions, stylishly blending a classic post-punk intuition with elements of disco, dub and psychedelia, now with added textures of electronic lushness. Recorded in both Barcelona and singer Patrcyja Proniewska’s native Warsaw, ‘Intra Apogeum’ is testament to a band committed to pushing forward and investigating the new whilst clearly demonstrating they know who they are. Belgrado is back – viva Belgrado! Label: La Vida Es Un Mus Records
  • BELGRADO | obraz | LP

    20.00 incl. tax
Obraz is a deconstruction of reality to its basic forms and most primitive elements. The starting point after maximum destruction. A reconstruction towards a new reality. The world of images and a thousand spectacles, fragmented, dismantled and reassembled. Dynamism, rhythm, energy and movement. Creative sense over technique. Reality is a construction that we ourselves create. Belgrado delivers a blend of post-punk that takes its influence from many different styles and combines them together into a new form and rhythm. Carefully constructed sound compositions driven by feelingand the senses. Geometrical figures set in motion. Inspired by the mechanical pulse of minimal synth, the hypnotic sounds of dub, the atmosphere of psychedelic and African music, French cold wave and the post-punk classics. • BELGRADO | siglo XXI | LP

    20.00 incl. tax
Barcelona's Belgrado return with their second album 'Siglo XXI' and first for La Vida Es Un Mus. The 11 track album melds dark and dreamy goth and post punk with a stunning and clear production. The bass leads and drives each track into the batcave whilst the vocals yearn and ache on top. This record has a clear 80's English influence (Killing Joke, Vex, A Touch of Hysteria, Blood and Roses etc) but it also very modern day Barcelona with the reverb as important as an instrument and totally DIY. 2011's excellent self titled LP has been bettered in sound, production and song. The LP comes in a thick black and white sleeve with artwork from drummer Jonathan also including a 30x30 insert, an extra lyric sheet and a 40x55 poster. Label: La Vida Es Un Mus Records

CONTEMPT | same title | LP

    21.00 incl. tax
After the demo-single tape we released in march 2020 it was finally time for a vinyl output of this great band from Murcia and here you have it. Despite all the problems and setbacks generated by covid-related restrictions plus other complications, which fully hit the band’s recording schedule, the vinyl debut of CONTEMPT is finally out! Here we have here 8 tracks of some of the heaviest, meanest and musically richest OI! played nowadays: guitar driven, epic, melodic yet hard-hitting, with even a metal-ish edge and some Rock influences. This feels like an iron fist in a velvet glove: Heavy as fuck yet gentle in the delivery. Very powerful tunes with hand-crafted guitar arrangements which help creating an overall momumental feel, a demolishing rythm section with perfect sounding drums and bass distortion and an amazing vocal delivery perfectly pitched, rough and yet clear with lyrics full of pride without stupid prejudices, about personal issues, historical references, love for their land without being a stupid knucklehead, socio-economic troubles. Inspirational, menacing, prideful down-to-earth lyrics. The first time i listened to these songs my jaw just dropped, i could feel the attention to detail, the level of effort and commitment in the creative process and, in each consecutive listen, discovering little details that just made my love for this band grow and grow. I just feel very lucky to be able to release such powerful and significant (at least for me) music. (Mendeku Diskak)

  • ESKORBUTO | anti todo | LP

    19.00 incl. tax
A true must. This is just one of those records you HAVE to hear. The Spanish punk band. This is their 1986 sophomore LP. A great mix of songs about depression, drugs, boredom etc. ranging from slow depressing "Historia Triste", "Cuidado", "Cerebros Destruidos", to the chaotic pogo "De ti Depende", "Anti-Todo", "Haciendo Bobadas" and to the disco (and utterly awesome!) "Matar la Musica". Definitely a classic! Coming from Bilbao in the Basque country of Spain with formidable and impressive contemporaries such as RIP, MG-15, IV REICH and ULTIMO RESORTE, ESKORBUTO still comes out ahead of them all becoming one of the most influential bands ever in Spain and South America. Snotty, nihilistic, misanthropic; these guys really didn't give a fuck. Following the live fast and die style the two definitive members of ESKORBUTO, Jualma and Iosu, overdosed on heroin. The "Eskizofrenia" LP and "Jodiendolo Todo" Demo are also highly, highly recommended. (Bcore Records)

The most savagely punk material ESKORBUTO left us, the startingpoint: the self-produced cassette tape, "Jodiendolo Todo" (Fucking It All). The recording has undergone a rigorous restoration work and is available for the first time on vinyl (and on CD). The release features a carefully designed magazine with detailed information. Fatamorgana is the Universe, and Ahora Aquí, Todavía No the journey that will take you through it. Patrycja and Louis will be your guides, and with their Bass Station, RX11, JP-8000 and ethereal voices acting as a synth-pop spaceship, all the marvels and mysteries they have seen will be revealed, because they “want to fly and swim at once, forever, in another density”. The Barcelona-based duo continue to hone their brand of electronic post-punk, dishing out beats, hooks and atmospherics in generous servings, and whilst it retains much of the stark minimalism of their first LP (2019’s Terra Alta), Ahora Aquí, Todavía No somehow feels deeper, more lush and considered. Clearly influenced by music from the 1980s – synth-pop, new wave, post-punk – Fatamorgana manage to create a sound that avoids standard retro manouevering, landing instead on something distinctly their own – an album made from cold sounds, that in their union become warm. A record that could just as easily soundtrack an afternoon’s solitary contemplation as a night on the dancefloor. Label: La Vida Es Un Mus Records
  • FLASH | same title | LP

    23.50 incl. tax
FLASH'S debut album is an unassuming hi-energy primitive punk breath of fresh air. Hailing from all over the Gipuzkoan coast their debut LP is far from being the members first rodeo, with too many bands and activities to bore you with. FLASH comes at you as a fully formed band who know what they want and know how to get it. Sonically FLASH takes equally from their local legends LA PERRERA, fuckwave visionary MOPO MOGO, the pop-edge hardcore of ZERO BOYS, and the weird punk to come out of the Midwest in the last few years to create a truly magic record without a second of filler. With lyrics sung in both Spanish and their basque fishing hometown slang their attitude comes across loud and clear. Monotony, authority, armies of has-beens, and conformist punks get a pounding, while self-doubt, anxiety, and an ode to our dear punk also get a lyric share. All-in-all eleven tracks of radical, critical, wild and humble timeless punk rock which will leave you wanting more with each play. (La Vida Es Un Mus)

HHH (achronim of Human Bone Flour in Spanish) are considered one of the pioneers of the Spain’s Hardcore/Punk scene, along with Subterranean Kids and Anti-Dogmatikss. ● First released in 1990, A por ellos… was the first studio album after the Sin Identidad!!! demo and the Intellectual punks EP, and for many fans it’s also their best work to date. Euskal rage! HONDARTZAKO HONDAKINAK came to life in 2011 in the northern part of Basque Country. Straight from their demo they caught the attention of many of us, delivering an impressive amount of noise and distortion. "Bruiarta" is their first full length and the trio made the most of it bringing new influences and more diversity to their sound. 80's UK punk will come to mind listening to the catchy and powerfull intro of this record but it's only one of the numerous and inspired aspects this piece of vinyl has to offer. The record comes with a nice bookled in which the shouted basque lyrics are translated in various languages. The artwork is a nod to their country of origin with the desire to be far from any punk cliché or pose. It's a corelease with Solar Funeral from the US. Label: Destructure Records

Following up their 2020 EP Barcelona IRREAL delivers eight troglodyte anthems of radikal hardcore punk. Borrowing heavily from the Hear Nothing era DISCHARGE and echoing equally Suomi classics DESTRUKTIONS/ MELLAKKA and AOQ demo era CRO-MAGS, IRREAL creates a maelstrom of hypnotic feedback. Era Electrónica Catalan and Spanish anarchist lyrics bind the bands primitive sonic assault, delivering a modern hardcore punk record without an ounce of modern attitude. OBSESSIÓ’s debut is a blast of crude hardcore. Formed during the extremely dark times of August of 2018 and based between Athens and Barcelona the band first statement is an 8 track 12” at 45 rpm which knocks you down with the first chord. Kindly indebted to the living legacy of TOTALITÄR, CRUDITY and other Nordic Beat greats while keeping an unmistakably modern swagger. Breakneck pace and musical manufacture care of three Greeks who have set the stage for Angela’s no doubt bleak summary of the world, whose distinctively intimidating and minimal powerhouse voice crashes across OBSESSIÓ’s music. No songs over 2 minutes, no frills or tricks, no contemplative pondering on delicate matters, and most of all no fucking melody. Recorded, mixed and mastered at Ignite Music Studios in Athens. Sleeve designed by the greatest Teodoro Hernández who effortlessly captures the bleakness and rage contained in this PUNK 45 RPM 12”. Includes digital pre-order of Obsessió MLP. Parálisis Permanente was formed in 1981 by Eduardo Benavente and Nacho Canut, at the time members of the legendary Alaska y Los Pegamoides, one the first post-punk bands from the renowned Movida Madrileña scene to achieve a relevant degree of success. After two EPs and a few changes in the line-up, Benavente became the natural leader of the band, joined by Johnny Canut, Ana Curra (also an ex-Pegamoide) and Rafa Balmaseda (ex-Glutamato Ye-Yé). They recorded El Acto in 1982 and soon it became one of the key albums to come out from the early '80s scene that was rapidly changing the face of Spanish music. The LP embraced the dark sound and image represented then by UK bands such as Bauhaus, Killing Joke, The Cure or The Damned and filtered those influences through Benavente's immense talent and his captivating presence as a performer. The record was a mature and strong piece of work, superior in sound and overall effect to most contemporary Spanish albums. When everything indicated that the band was only starting its greatly promising career, a fatal car accident on their way to a show took Benavente's life when he was only 20 years old. Although another single was released weeks after and the other members would carry on being involved in music, this tragic event meant the end for Parálisis Permanente as a band. This record is an awesome collection of most of this bands (non-bootleg) singles. The music is in Spanish and if you like Alaska y Los Pegamoides (their previous band) then you will love this one. This album's songs and lyrics are dark and is just a great album. I recommend it to whoever likes Paralisis Permanente and will always be a fan of their work and of Eduardo Benavente.
