Formed in 1978 in the sleepy Brighton suburb of Peacehaven, Peter & The Test Tube Babies are one of the most legendary bands of the first wave of UK Oi! and punk. Known for their sarcastic, tongue-in-cheek lyrics and explosive live show, the band has been rocking stages for nearly 4 decades and are still going strong. Pissed & Proud, originally released in 1982, is their debut full-length album. They had previously released numerous singles and compilation tracks, but this live album - recorded in Hammersmith, Wood Green, and their original stomping ground, Brighton - was their biggest release yet. Not many bands debut with a live album, but for Peter & The Test Tube Babies, who were at that point legends for their live show, it made perfect sense. Essential UK Oi! reissued on vinyl, enjoy P&TTTB at their rawest, very best. BLUE Vinyl LP. Label: Radiation Records

PERSPEX FLESH | ordered image | LP

Original price was: €13.00.Current price is: €8.00. incl. tax
Just under a year from the release of their debut LP, PERSPEX FLESH return with a brand new 6 track 12" EP. Undoubtedly their strongest work yet, this takes all of the influences of the previous records, the feeling of claustrophobia, the tasteful nods to bands such as RUDIMENTARY PENI, SPIKE IN VAIN and COLD SWEAT, as well as an occasional post punk feel, and merges it into something ugly and unique. UK Hardcore has been possibly in it's best state for the best part of two decades in recent memory, and this is another record to help enforce that claim. Featuring members of THE FLEX, DiE and BROKEN ARM. Label: Static Shock Records
  • PAVEMENT | same title | LP

Radiation Roots present a reissue of Pavement's self-titled album, originally released in 1969. Pavement's sole long-player is the stuff of legend, a record so rare that in-the-know vinyl connoisseurs have questioned its very existence. As one of the many vinyl anomalies of the day, Pavement's obscure story is very much about a particular place and time, in this case, the fringes of the multi-cultural London music scene that existed at the tail end of the swinging sixties. According to the liner notes of the original LP, Pavement was formed in 1968 after "Dexter Pat and John had left their original group," and "Tony and George left theirs to unite with them." Then, "an express letter to Beirut brought Mick, who was playing there at the time." We are told that these musicians were "digging the solid soul sounds" and "the exciting rhythms of the Caribbean, ska and reggae," and after two months of steady rehearsals, the band "launched themselves into the rat race of popular music" in November 1968. They supposedly had so much success as a warm-up act after playing up and down the country in support of various unnamed groups that they were "soon being booked as top of the bill," hence the need for this. Pavement's self-titled debut album was the first LP released by Crystal, the subsidiary of President Records that was established in 1968 by Jack Price, a songwriter and harmonica player that had just replaced Siggy Jackson as label manager at Melodisc Records. Price had his finger in a number of different pies: in addition to promoting Melodisc's ska and reggae catalogue, he was soon to produce the ground-breaking various artists album Rock Steady Hits Of 69 for Fontana with London-based reggae performers, which helped bring Caribbean rhythms into non-specialist music shops for the very first time, and enjoyed the publishing on The Cats' massive "Swan Lake" 45, a hugely successful pop-reggae adaptation. Jack also ran a recording studio of his own, reputedly the first London facility with eight-track recording equipment. The original liner notes suggested that we should "rest assured that there will be more singles and albums to come from this refreshing group" and that "this news will please a lot of people." Of course, things didn't quite work out that way. This reissue reminds that reggae, soul and other foreign forms were spicing up the London music scene as the 1960s drew to a close. Seminal record for any punk in UK, China or whatever you live, fucker!!!! The Partisans were formed in Wales south in 1978 with the original line-up of Phil Staton-voice, Rob "Spike" Harrington-guitar and backing vocals, Andy Lealand-second guitar, Mark "Shark" Harris-drums and Mark "Savage" Parsons-bass. This line-up will change after one year as Parsons and Staton left the band and Rob took the voice position and entering Louise Wright as bass player. Basically influenced by Sex Pistols, The Clash and Ramones, The Partisans started to cover those bands and playing some own sounds too. On September 1981 they released their first 7" under the label No Future Records, a fantastic single that helped the band to tour with the likes of Blitz, The Ejected and Peter and the Test Tube Babies. On May 1982 they released their second 7" and when 1983 arrived the band's debut LP was out. This debut LP is one of the seminal steps on British punk for sure, a record that still sound fresh and strong after 3o years. Label: Puke n Vomit Records

19 track round up of demos from The Partisans who formed in Bridgend, South Wales in 1978 and ended up being one of the cream of the UK82 punk movement. The first side of the LP has 10 tracks recorded in April 1980 in one day and like bands in their early years - it features mainly covers. It includes songs from the Sex Pistols, Stiff Little Fingers, UK Subs, Buzzcocks, UK Subs, Cockney Rejects and yes even more UK Subs. It also has primitive and raw versions of future Partisans classics No Time and I Don’t Give a Fuck. This demo has never been heard or released in any form. Less than a year later, February 1981 with Savage leaving and Louise joining on bass, the band have their most well know line up and are in full flow with a 6 track demo that was sent to No Future Records. It’s not surprising the label snapped them up straight away as the recordings are high energy and full of anthemic gems. The label released Police Story and Killing Machine as the debut 7” direct from these recordings. The other four tracks from this demo have never been released on vinyl. The last three tracks on the LP are the demos from 1982 recorded for No Future for the 17 Years of Hell Single. Rawer and more punk than the actual well know versions. All members of the bands helped in this release and shared original masters from which everything was remastered plus archive from their own personal collections including photos galore, handouts, ticket stubs, interviews etc which are included in the 28 Page Booklet. PARANOID VISIONS | cryptic cross words | CD

Original price was: €7.00.Current price is: €5.00. incl. tax
Cryptic Cross Words is the 5th album that Paranoid Visions have released since their 2006 reboot. Add to this the multitude of singles and a myriad of historical re-releases and compilations and it becomes clear that Paranoid Visions are a band who are not content to sit back and relax or attempt to trade on past glories. Indeed founder members Deko and P.A are of the opinion that there are no past glories with the recent releases being more reflective of what the band were about in the first place. Cryptic Cross Words, a culmination of a year’s recording and writing is an attempt to craft a specific album with a specific modus operandi. “With every release we have done, there has always been a compromise, and certain styles or genres we have wanted to explore have been almost achieved, but not executed the way we imagined them … until now”. Switching rhythm section and losing a backing vocalist in early 2014 gave the band the opportunity to form the perfect line-up and create what the band believe is best album they have ever made. It’s certainly a more focussed and strategic release that relies on soundscapes and moods that co-exist with the various musical genres the band continues to dip into. But it explores these cohesively with production that has been described by one early reviewer as being “crisp but avoids the sheen of the nu”. Certainly this album owes as much to UK Decay as it does to UK Subs, or is “more magazine than fanzine”. Lyrically the album is tackling different subjects ranging from the Catholic church’s abuse of children, invasion in the Ukraine, sexual harmony, working culture and the voice of the downtrodden public on the verge of snapping. In the case of Anagram Sam the lyrics consist entirely of anagrams (Anagram Sam, he’s one of those NAMELESS SALESMEN, his LIFE is a FILE of anagrams, he’s the SENATOR for TREASON etc etc….you get the picture!!) whilst the album’s closer, “baNAMA Republic” is a delicate slow building acoustic song spanning seven minutes and sung by Aoife Destruction detailing the fall of the Irish economy and the corruption that facilitated it. • Drunk punks Organized Chaos release their first ever album compiling 18 tracks from two demos from 1981 and 1982 plus the compilation tracks from Wessex 82 7” and the Riotous Assembly Compilation LP. Organized Chaos were masters of driving UK82 punk with tin pot drums, buzzsaw guitars and snarling vocals. If the band had released an album at the time they could have easily been as influential as Chaos UK or Disorder. How this band didn’t have a Riot City release is anyone’s guess. Simple meat and potatoes UK82 punk for those who still hate Thatcher, are worried about a nuclear war and despise the system. Label: Sealed Records

Formed as a Punk band in the early eighties by guitarist Nige Rockett and drummer Steve Grice, Onslaught gradually transformed into Britain’s finest Thrash collective. A natural progression, according to Rockett. The speeding frenzy of neck breaking riffs, ripping leads and powerful songs made the first albums a success among the European underground. The Force is the second studio album by English thrash metal band Onslaught, released in May 1986. More successful than their previous album, Power from Hell, The Force is considered a thrash metal classic by fans and critics, and the band's first to feature Sy Keeler on vocals (he would depart in 1988, only to return for the 2007 album Killing Peace). Reissue 2019, black vinyl, ltd 250, 425gsm heavy high gloss cardboard cover, lyric sheet, poster, transfer and mastering by Patrick W. Engel at TEMPLE OF DISHARMONY in August 2018. Remastered vinyl reissue of the debut and only Omega Tribe album, originally released in late 1983 on Corpus Christi Records. The album was recorded by Guitarist Pete Fender deep in the Poison Girl’s basement studio in Leyton and contains 11 punk anthems with a pop sensibility missed by most of their curse of 1983 peers. Omega Tribe were one of the few bands that had a much more softer, poetic and melodic style of playing that still managed to impress, educate and influence their audiences. It was protest music with a heart and sense of love that still is relevant 35 years later. This album has never been reissued and deserves it's place right next to the Mob - Let the Tribe Increase, Poison Girls - Hex and Zounds - Curse of Zounds. • OI POLLOI | saorsa | LP

This is the sixth studio album of the long going scottish anarchist punk band "OI POLLOI" (Slang for "The Common People") 15 new songs recorded in 2014 with an retrospective of the many musically influences of previous OI POLLOI records. Here you find the anarcho charged sing-a-long Oi!Punk in exchange with D-Beat-Crust and of course classic UK Anarcho Punk. "Saorsa" means "Freedom" in scottish gaelic and "Freedom" or "Liberty" is the lyrical main subject of this album. Lyrics are mostly sung in English with little excursions into Gaelic, Spanish as well as Yiddish. With all the heavy political content, OI POLLOI never excluded humor in what they do and this is what makes them so sympathic in my eyes. Responsible for the beautiful artwork was Sonia L. who already contributed to previous OI POLLOI records such as "Fuaim Catha". Label: Ruin Nation Records

This classic punk album from these Scots was originally released in 1990, and has been unavailable for years now. 11 cuts of anarcho punk full of ecological issues, anger and Earth power... and classic anarcho pie receipe! "This album was originally released as a vinyl LP back in 1990 on the Words of Warning label. It was a small DIY punk label run by a friend of ours from Wales called Karl. He released quite a few good records until one of his bands got signed to EMI. Although they kept their feet on the ground it seemed that their "success" went to his head a bit and he got- a taste for the commercial "music business". That's something that has never interested us and we totally fail to see any attraction in that whole plastic and rotten world. Anyway, to cut a long story, Karl started to rip off the bands and eventually ended up as a dodgy drum and bass promoter in Bristol - money corrupts. Then a few years ago he re-released this LP on a CD in a really shitty cover with a booklet full of mistakes and no decent sleeve notes or artwork and pocketed the proceeds. So many folks have kept asking about these songs though that we thought it would be good to have this stuff available again but on a decent label and with decent artwork this time [...]" (Oi Polloi, Beltane 2006) (NNNW Records)

  • Formed in 1979 in new town Harlow, The Newtown Neurotics are one of the most under rated but essential punk bands. Kick Out! is a 15 track round up of their first six singles taking in the years 1979 to 1984. The first two singles Hypocrite and When The Oil Runs Out were melodic nuggets released on their own No Wonder label. Both of these singles were written prior to the election of the Thatcher monster. The horror of this event changed what was the non-political writing style of Steve's lyrics into the other extreme, and so in June 1982 Kick Out The Tories was released on CNT records. Sadly 38 years later, the lyrics are most poignant and needed than ever. The band continued releasing single after single from the painfully personal to the politically pertinent, all done with intelligence and style. Also included is Andy Is A Corporatist / Mindless Version taken from the Son of Oi! compilation. The album comes with a 32 page booklet of archive - photos, reviews, interviews and more and was conceived to be released alongside the Documentary of the same name about the band's history. NEW ORDER | technique | LP

    21.00 incl. tax
New Order's fifth studio album, released on 30 January 1989 and their last album released on Factory. Recorded on Ibiza and in Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios. The album adds Balearic Beat and Acid House influences to the band's typical blend of electronic and rock. The cover is another Peter Saville (2)/Trevor Key cooperation, using a garden ornament cherub statue. Saville thought the bacchanalian image was ironically fitting for the new "drug-fuelled hedonism" in the music scene. The first New Order album to reach number one in the UK charts. Several tracks were individually released as singles. An instrumental version of "Vanishing Point" was used on the BBC series Making Out. (London Records/Factory /2009)
