Iron Maiden’s first album is their dirtiest, most street-sounding LP and for all intents and purposes exploded the new wave of British heavy metal sound into a global movement, inspiring countless street urchins to pick up guitars and thrash it out. Featuring original singer Paul Di’anno, the album contained classics like the eponymous band anthem, ‘Prowler’ and ‘Running Free.
