Before these pre-punk heroes recorded their somewhat slick Mercury LPs, they went into a NYC studio to lay their vicious sound on tape-the same sound they were currently churning out at the Mercer Street Arts Center. This is an incredible artifact, a chance to hear the Dolls (with first drummer Billy Murcia, who died soon after of an overdose) at their ferocious best, playing Personality Crisis; Bad Girl; Frankenstein, and more.
