Xenofon Razis is a Punk-Rock/Pub-Folk singer songwriter from Athens Greece known for his powerful performances, working class background and antifascist lyrics always active playing shows wherever possible around Greece and Europe.
Webzine reviews have named his style as Acoustic Punk-Rock / Pub-Folk / Irish Thrash / Country Punk etc but he claims that he just plays music that comes straight from his heart and soul, screaming his guts out with an acoustic guitar and that’s all it!
His songs are full of whisky and beer, full of stories from the pubs he played and the streets he lived describing the working class struggle of everyday life, fueled with an antifascist spirit and diy background and of course infused with love, friendship, learning from mistakes, getting back up to your feet and never give up!
Many bands influenced his songwriting like Chuck Ragan, Hot Water Music, Snuff, Bad Religion, The Clash, Criminal Damage and The Pogues to name a few.
His latest album “All Grey” was recorded with a full band (acoustic guitar / bass / drums / violin / harmonica) released on limited vinyl with the help of the German label “Mad Drunken Monkey Records” and on cassette via Berlin based label “Tape Or Die” (which also re-released his second album “Athens City Prison” again on cassette).
