The 1981 debut single by the acclaimed NYC-based post-punk/new wave band, reissued on vinyl! Consisting of Alexa Hunter (vocals), Jorge Arevalo Mateus (lead guitar), Stephanie Hameon (rhythm guitar), Tony Zebe (bass) and Micki Crash (drums), Disturbed Furniture emerged in the late 1970’s on a wave of promise, but after only three short years, they regretfully dissolved. In a short space of time they became an integral part of New York’s vibrant arts and music scene, opening for many distinguished local and British bands including the GoGo’s, the Psychedelic Furs, the Stranglers, Sector 27, The Waitresses and Lydia Lunch. They toured around the east coast of the US, were even asked to open for The Clash in NYC and seemed set for a very productive future… Why they disbanded, I don’t know, but all members scattered to Europe and the west after they split. In the following decades, however, all band members continued to play and record music and in 2017, fuelled by having their old music videos included in a major museum show, (Club 57: Film, Performance, and Art in the East Village, 1978–1983 at MOMA), three of the original members (Hunter/Mateus/Oakleaf) reunited to record new work and perform. The product of this reunion was a 5-track EP entitled Continuous Pleasures., which was released in 2019 Backed with Alors Allez on on the b-side, Information completed their one and only 45 which was released in 1981 on Disturbed Records. Driven by a relentless bass line and joined by the frenzied jangles of rhythm and lead guitar, this fusion of energy was matched by the raw urgency of Hunter’s vocals. What a shame it took them over thirty years to make more and that they only released one single in this golden era of post-punk. Check it out above. Label: Mad Butcher
  • Licensed by Cherry Red Music! Official repress of this classic from 1982. Limited to 500 copies! The band was one of the few multi-racial punk bands of the UK82 wave as there were two black kids in the band. Not only that, but these two boys were also twin brothers. (Mad Butcher Records)
  • Originally released on Riot City Records in 1983 and quickly becoming one of the label's most highly sought after releases, Ultra-Violent recorded just one single before breaking up when vocalist Adie went on to front the Metal incarnation of the English Dogs. Three songs of blistering UK82, and quite possibly the best record in the genre. Finally reissued in it's original format, with original copies regularly selling for £70+ online. An excruciating amount of thought and love has been poured into this release to make it the best reissue it could be. The accompanying insert also features reprints of original fanzine coverage, several previously unpublished photographs and also for the first time, a lyric sheet. Remastered at North London Bomb Factory by Daniel Husayn. (Mad Butcher Records)
  • UK punk band from New Mills with Lindsay, sister of Mackie from Blitz, playing the drums. Limited repress of their classic 2 track EP originally released on No Future in 1982. Oi-influenced vocals grafted onto a typical punk background. (Mad Butcher Records)

  • Originally released back in 1987 on Roddy Moreno's Oi! records, this album contains some of their best material ever: 12 aggressive Killer-Anthems, hard and tight played: "Punx'n'Skins", "Scum","Commies and nazis". Like a smack in the face! Rabid, violent, kickin'! Reissue with original artwork. Label: Mad Butcher Records
  • The Outsiders were formed in Wimbledon, UK in 1976. Their 'Calling You' album was the first DIY LP released world-wide after the explosion of Buzzcocks first 7" but Outsiders's LP is the first DIY punk full length. Adrian Borland together with Bob Lawrence and Adrian James formed the band and recorded and released this first LP on the Raw Edge Label on May 1977. A brilliant combination of the first punk's steps mixed with some rock and also some hard-rock moments in the vein of The Stooges, Modern Lovers and Peter Perrett's Only Ones. (Mad Butcher Records)

Finally reissued on vinyl! For their second album, first wave U.K. punks the Outsiders decided to move on from the home-recorded D.I.Y. sound of their first LP and ventured into a proper recording studio for the first time. However, they didn't use the occasion to slather gloss on their music, and while 1978's Close Up does sound cleaner, richer, and more precise than 1977's Calling on Youth, the production is admirably lean and straightforward, and if anything, the arrangements are less tricked up than on the group's debut, with fewer acoustic guitar overdubs and a sleek, speedier approach that makes room for Adrian Borland's guitar heroics. By this point in the Outsiders' career, Borland was reportedly growing tired of the confines of the punk template (he'd break up the band to form the Sound before the year was out), and in many respects, Close Up sounds as much post-punk as punk; there are a few straightforward pogo rockers like "Vital Hours," "Count for Something," and "Out of Place," but the phase-shifted atmospherics and anti-racist lyrics of "White Dept." point to a more musically ambitious vision, while the slower, blues-infused "Keep the Pain Inside" snubs its nose at punk orthodoxy, and the nervous social commentary of "Semi-Detached Life" and "Conspiracy of War" are short on sloganeering and long on thoughtful observations of an off-kilter world. While Borland was clearly feeling his oats as a soloist, his melodies here are smart, strong, and to the point, while his vocals are effective and free of pretense, and bassist Bob Lawrence and drummer Adrian James are a splendid rhythm section, adding just the right amount of texture and color while driving the songs with authority and no-frills style. Close Up hardly sounds like the work of a band on its last legs; this is powerful, efficient rock & roll that has aged far more gracefully than most of the bands in the U.K. punk class of 1978. • Necrot continue their ascent to the forefront of American aural extremity, pushing the boundaries of style and continuing to recast metal in their image. Founded by bassist, vocalist and principal songwriter Luca Indrio and drummer Chad Gailey in 2011 – guitarist Sonny Reinhardt joined the next year – the Oakland, California, trio offer Lifeless Birth (in continued collaboration with Tankcrimes) as a culmination of their to-date efforts to encapsulate and push forward the deathly stylings of 2020’s Mortal and their 2017 debut, Blood Offerings. It’s not about giving up a ferocity that’s helped make them a household name among the converted. Instead, Necrot use that same, by-now-characteristic intensity as the backdrop for an expanded songwriting palette. They’ve always been a band who stood out. The maturity they show on Lifeless Birth confirms that’s been the plan all along. It is a vision of what metal can be and do in 2024, tearing down old barriers and keeping those traditional elements that make it stronger.Recorded with Grammy-winning producer Greg Wilkinson (who has helmed all three Necrot albums) and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, Lifeless Birth pivots fluidly between technical intricacy, progressive poise and all-out brutality. Scouring lead work will have thrash heads nodding knowingly, and an overarching groove reaches out across the metal microgenres with a righteous call to worship. Its songs are memorable and varied, unpretentious but able to rear up with statelier violence. For a collection of songs that feel so much written for the stage, it should be no surprise tours early in 2024 and summer festivals are to be announced.Mortal (2020, Tankcrimes) was #2 on Billboard's Top New Artist chart, #30 on the Top Current Albums chart, #4 on the Current Hard Music, and #10 on the Heatseeker Albums chart for week of release. Necrot have toured in North America, Europe, Australia and Japan, and shared the stage with Cannibal Corpse, Immolation, The Black Dahlia Murder, Suffocation, Morbid Angel, and hundreds of others. • Here’s the record you’ve been waiting for ages ! It’s been seven years since SHORT DAYS first full length, seven years during which these tireless people from Lille have never stopped traveling the roads and playing shows. These punk hyperactivists are also playing in shitloads of great bands from the effervescent Lille scene. The band has finally found the time to return to the studio during the year 2023 and it’s with great pleasure that we share with you “Direction Nowhere”. This second album offers you no less than 14 new songs and if the punk recipe remains the same, time has done its work and it is today more elaborate. Once again Barreto, the band’s drummer, has taken care of the artwork and it’s brilliant. Mixed and mastered by Daniel Husayn. Label: Destructure Records

In the musical ocean where waves of creativity often crash against familiar shores, emerges the new album from CUIR. One can only rejoice that Doug maintains the desire to continue with this project. It encompasses all the ingredients that have made the one-man band successful. The choruses remain as catchy as ever, and the music just as danceable. As the experience progresses, the tracks become more diversified, and "On verra bien," the final track of the record, may surprise you. The whole album was recorded at At The Movies Studio by Jacky (Syndrome 81, Prisonnier du temps, etc.), who also contributes a feature on "Toujours pareil." Label: Offside Records
  • Pioneers of the early D-beat scene, Crude S.S., need little introduction to the extreme punk record-buying audience. Formed in Fagersta, Sweden in 1982, C.S.S. helped define the whole crust-core subgenre, along with their pals Anti-Cimex and Mob 47. Hints of extreme metal à la Venom and Celtic Frost, mixed with the UK hardcore approach of Conflict, Crass and Discharge were the main ingredients for a recipe which allowed the band to build a following for 35 years to come. Killing For Nothing is a vinyl compilation of rare and previously unreleased tracks (taken from EP’s, comps and demo’s) by these influential Swedish ’80s HC-legends. • Threads is Αρχη Του Τελους guitarist's Kostas solo project. Musically, it will take us on a journey between death rock/industrial/ambient and experimental. Threads' second album OldMedievalRecordings (OMR #002) under the title VIOLENCE on audio cassette and 100 numbered copies. A trek through the source violence and acts of mental misuse and disastrous adictions, straddling the undreground dancefloor Synth Wave scene of the 80's and the junkie city -apocalyptic dust of the mid 90's. • 14 month after their debut album, the Berlin based horrorific stench core army is back with a new four tracks Mini LP. The songs are longer, heavier and gloomier than the ones on the previous release but they don't lose their violence, power and speed. Elements of black metal pop up between the heavier classic stenchy parts and the faster crustcore ones. Listening to this new songs makes me think these guys are definitely sitting on the throne of Olympus of crust! What a hell of a fucking release! I just can't wait to listen to the next one. Label: Agipunk Records
  • STEP TO FREEDOM is a Russian band that began their difficult journey in a land that doesn't want them at the beginning of the last decade and that defines itself as Crust punk underground front! Against state control! They released their first self produced cassette "Social Zombies" in 2014, later reissued by Audacious Madness Records (U.S.A.) together with their second album called "Cemetery For The Humaniknd" (originally out in 2018 on Makima Records, also from Russia) in 2021. After one EP on tape and a 7", both respectively released in 2019 and 2023 by Blown Out Media Records (U.S.A.), they are back with what, in my opinion, is their best release so far. The monolithic sound of their new recordings suggests a maturation of the group both from a compositional point of view and from that of awareness of the use of effects and mastery of the instruments they play. I felt like a tank had rolled over my back after I first listened to this album. Granitic stench core meets crust core with a touch of death metal here and there all packed in a clear recording which allows us to imagine the difficult moment that the guys are going through, forced into the prison of the institutions that govern their state. Fans of Amebix, Axegrinder, Deviated Instinct, Hellshock and Instinct Of Survival will love this. Available on tape from Chainsaw Distro, Runstate Tapes (both from Canada) and Headnoise Records (Russia); on CD from Blown Out Media (U.S.A.) and on vinyl from Agipunk (Europe) and Audacious Madness Records (U.S.A.) Throw in a heavy dose of Motörheadish rock’n’roll and lead guitar work that could easily be from one your favorite New Wave Of British Heavy Metal albums – and you have Night Fever. Vocalist Salomon’s raging vocals are like a mix of Glen Danzig, Ray Cappo and Jack “Choke” Kelly. His lyrics deliver his personal frustration with the state of the world and life in general. “Welcome to the real world: Life is hell.” This heavymetallic HARD to the CORE album will be released on 2nd of February 2024. The cross-Channel trio UNDER 45 is back with a new gesture in the form of a full lenght album. About 3 years after their first effort, the band goes further into their musical blend. This is still some kind of electrifying post-punk that makes you bang your head from the first second and everything you loved about their first songs is still here but there is also more to expect and more to enjoy. UNDER 45 hits the mark with 10 new irresistibly sarcastic songs that you will find yourself humming instantly and that’s what we sorely need. Let's see what Jake, the band's singer, has to tell us about "Stonewalled" : "It's a natural progression from our previous release. Still wanting to keep the same energy and rawness from before but also open to try some new ideas. We share different musical backgrounds and influences and that definitely helps keep the sound fresh and exciting (to us at least). The writing approach was different from last time as lockdowns had subsided and we were finally able to come together and rehearse in the flesh, like a real band. This definitely helped speed up things, and ideas were shared more coherently. We always work pretty efficiently in the practice room as our time together is quite often limited, so when we do get a chance to practice, it’s all gung ho! Sometimes a song could be done and dusted in one session. The lyrical content of the songs are mainly coming from an observational viewpoint. Whether that be from my (Jake) personal experiences in life, or imagining someone else's. The topics vary and can sometimes be quite serious and politically charged, whereas others can be more absurd, tongue and cheek so to speak. In my view, our world is chaotic and I try to reflect that in the lyrics. The album title “Stonewalled” is a reference, or a dig at our political leaders, people in power etc who hold great responsibilities yet have become finely tuned experts in being evasive, avoiding contact, refusing to answer questions, and not engaging with the people. They stonewall us." Label: Destructure Records
  • Reissue of classic Psychobilly standard-bearers The Meteors “Doing The Lord’s Work” from 2012. Over more than 3 decades, ‘The Meteors’ have been fiercely carrying the banner of pure Psychobilly. Raucous, die-hard and wildly entertaining mix of rockabilly, country, surf and punk rock combined with horror themes, “Doing The Lord’s Work” would be the perfect accompaniment during a visit to the bar in Dusk Til Dawn, or a night hammering tequila and breaking the law. P. Paul Fenech and his band of rebels excel in extending their middle finger salute to everyone and everything on this barn-stormer, including an inspired Morricone-esque cover of Black Sabbath’s Paranoid that has to be one of the best out there. Invented in 1980 as a sound of their own, psychobilly has grown into a world-wide genre with The Meteors on the throne as undisputed kings. Released on luxurious gatefold, remastered black vinyl and limited dark green vinyl with an etching on the D side. Soundtrack for pagan rituals, bar fights and brawls, drinking sessions and desert motorbike racing that rocks hard all the way from beginning to end. Gatefold sleeve, black vinyl. • Reissue of classic Psychobilly standard-bearers The Meteors “Hell Train Rollin” from 2012. Over more than 3 decades, ‘The Meteors’ have been fiercely carrying the banner of pure Psychobilly. “Hell Train Rollin” is a hate fueled juggernaut of mean spirited real Rock ‘n Roll that steamrolls out of the gate and smashes everyone and everything straight in the face. Songs like “Another Day On Fire'' are pure classics, as catchy and thrilling as a ring-side seat to a Hell’s Angels knife fight or like Johnny Cash on PCP. With a sneer and a chip on their shoulders the size of Texas, “Hell Train Rollin” is shot after shot of bangers, double bass thumpers, frenetic guitars and relentless drums that makes it unmissable Meteors at their best. Soundtrack for sacrificial orgies, breaking out of jail, fixing motorbike engines and ripping up the asphalt, rocking like a motherfucker all the way from beginning to end.
