Hailing from Toronto, Imploders long awaited debut 12" follows on the work laid out on their self titled 7" and Equalizing Distort radio session cassette. Their Self-Titled debut 12" is comprised of 16 tracks of pure, classic American Hardcore attack. Maladjusted adults carving out knuckle-burning, drywall-holing Punk Rock. Like their initial release, it travels a similar path first cleared by Circle Jerks and Zero Boys but there's a sheen in the efficiency and tightness of this offering that builds on that prior work. The tracks are scaled for an equal ratio of hooks and speed. Not relying purely on power or flash, Imploders sit right in the middle and are delivering some of the best Hardcore Punk since Personality Crisis walked the frozen plains of the Prairies. This style ain't broke and Imploders prove it doesn't require any fixing. Label: Static Shock Records

Out of stockRe-mastered and repackaged with new liner notes by Everett True and featuring 4 bonus tracks, including single version of 'My Lighthouse' and an alternative mix of 'Blue Girls', the previously unreleased 'Sink or Swim' and 'Please Don't Worry' from Pulp's John Peel session in 1981. This was Pulp's debut and one of their most honest recordings - capturing a band at the beginning of their startling career - 'It' is a gentle, mainly acoustic album that hints at the musical directions they would later pursue. The album touches on the majestic, theatrical ballads of Scott Walker, as well as the stark, folky song poems of Leonard Cohen - an album by a young band trying to pinpoint their direction, and absorbing many an influence from all around, 'It' has aged beautifully into a charming collection. Out of stockPere Ubu's mighty debut recorded back in 1977 and originally released on blank records in '78 in America and on Mercury (and later Rough Trade) in the UK and now released through Fire, and for this reworking Paul Hamann at Suma has transferred from the original 2-track analogue mix tapes to digital at the highest resolution available which, is at least four times the resolution of the original. The tracks have carefully been re-mastered by sonic architect Brian Pyle so as to capture the unique qualities within. It is hard to believe that such noises could come from so deep in America's heartland, played by a group named after a french absurdist play. The debut album by Pere Ubu, The Modern Dance' is the realization of group leader David Thomas's (aka crocus behemoth) high-concept vision of a rock band whose sound was always just on the verge of falling apart. Avant garde and not terribly accessible, the album's noisy anarchy was a tonic for punks and intellectuals sick of the bloated, corporate sound that passed for commercial rock at the time. it became a major influence on the leading alternative bands of the following decade, including the Pixies and Husker Du. Originally released in 2011, this double LP compiles THE OLD FIRM CASUALS’ early singles and EPs (with the exception of their debut EP). These 24 tracks were far and away the best display of out-of-the-gate talent and momentum shown in the punk and Oi! scene in a long time. This is one album that deserves to remain available for new fans and diehards alike. Obviously due in large part to the talent of the decorated punk rock veterans that make up this outfit, THE OLD FIRM CASUALS became a staple in their own right, and tour-by-tour became a crowd favorite all over the world; writing a slew of incredible records along the way. Their live show is as energetic and exciting as they get, and the tunes are timeless. Label: Randale Records

Moses Brown of Texas punk bands Institute and Glue released his first cassette under the name Peace de Résistance - a solo project where he plays all the instruments - in October 2020. That cassette found Brown bouncing his growing songwriting chops off the fuzz-drenched Zamrock sound of Paul Ngozi, Witch, and Amanaz. However, Bits and Pieces - Peace de Résistance’s first full-length and first vinyl release - has a wider vista. Brown describes the sound as “demented glam rock,” and while you can hear remnants of the Zamrock influence in the sinuously melodic fuzz guitar, the more pertinent frames of reference are Diamond Dogs -era Bowie, 70s Lou Reed, and Iggy’s The Idiot and Lust for Life. Bits and Pieces recalls those records’ potent combination of artistic ambition, street-level rock and roll swagger, and pop charm, but filtered through the DIY punk aesthetics of Brown’s previous work. Lyrically, the album documents life on the fringes in a hyper-surveilled 2020s America, with songs like “Don’t 1099 Me,” “We Got the Right to Be Healthy,” and “Exploitation” wrenching plainspoken poetry from an existence that will be all too familiar to anyone at odds with capitalism. After nine timeless art-rock songs, Bits and Pieces lets us down gently with “Sitting in Disguise.” This motorik-inspired instrumental offers a rickety, dilapidated update of Neu!’s seamless futurism, implying that the only appropriate response to our predicament is to keep moving forward. -Sorry State Label: La Vida Es Un Mus

The long awaited return of contemporary D-Beat champions, PHYSIQUE with “Again” - their first release since 2019. PHYSIQUE offers 15 tracks of steamrolling, discharge-fueled, crasher crust, seamlessly overlapping the time honored and ever-present D-Beat themes of war and government oppression with their own take on the brutalizing and soul-crushing realities of everyday modern life. With lyrics like: “Free yourself / Hope is the enemy, the enemy of change / Take your hope, smash it to pieces”, the overwhelming sense of life’s inevitable collapse and the dissolution of all the things we hold dear hits at the very core of modern existence. As you slog through the rut, a little more hope is lost each day. Life is empty and without purpose. One can't help but ask - “Again?” But D-Beat is protest music at heart, and “Again”s desperation is complimented by a surging pulse of relentless energy that reminds us that as brutal as life may be, we can't resist the fury of noisy protest that brings us back - again - to scream and shout the "never agains" of our predecessors and ourselves alike. Yorkshire's most Honorable Master of Mangel brings to bear upon us the sophomore RAT CAGE full-length, an anxiety-compounding white-knuckle ride through the nauseating experience commonly known as trying to get by. On SAVAGE VISIONS, listeners are exposed to the maniacal cries of the critically-minded individual pushed to the absolute brink, copping rapid fire tidings of woe belted out by an unhinged unit who has finally ceased to give a fuck. Here we find Bryan of Sheffield, defiant and desperate on what is by far the most sinister, claustrophobic, reckless and dynamic release in the RAT CAGE catalogue to date. Though it may be full of huge sing-along-moments and loaded with surprises, SAVAGE VISIONS is no party, because there's nothing to celebrate. The boisterous resilience and boozy joy of previous works has vanished. With the rule book shattering the window of the '82nd floor, SAVAGE VISIONS lashes out at times towards the not-too-distant sounds of VENOM, MIDNIGHT and later DARKTHRONE, expertly folding these riff expressions back in to the irresistibly dysfunctional bop of GBH and CRUCIFIX. Anyone who chucks this thing on is going to feel like the passenger in a car crash waiting to happen. Razor's edge lead breaks serve only to increase the tension. Our driver careens wildly across both sides of the highway, regularly steering us toward the familiar influences of SKITKIDS, THE PARTISANS, DISARM, THE VARUKERS, TOTALITÄR and AUKTION before quickly engaging the hand-brake once again to speed off at 90 degrees in the direction of the unfinished overpass at the edge of town. Due to the up-scaled take on Swedish HC and the (now boosted) thump of the kick drum and bass guitar on SAVAGE VISIONS, this record feels like DISFEAR's Live The Storm played significantly faster. Minimal respect is afforded to genre convention. The way it should be - every band, every time. You may very well survive the maze, but what will you become by the time you reach its exit? - Nathan Burns Κριτική για το LP στο rocking.gr Label: La Vida Es Un Mus

Out of stock"R.A.S. is yet another classic French Oi! / punk band from the early 80's that is back in action again! The band disbanded only two years after its original formation in 1982, but revived themselves nearly five years ago (2012) and have occasionally been playing live ever since. It never came to new recordings though... until now that is! Because after decades of 'studio-silence', Contra Records - who were also partly responsible for the first new release of the resurrected Komintern Sect – is about to release the brand new "Pas Le Temps De Regretter" mini-album on 12" vinyl! Although the songs on this 12" aren't completely new, you might have heard a raw studio or live recording of 'em here or there, the recordings of "Pas Le Temps De Regretter" definitely are. As a matter of fact, the five tracks of this mini-LP were already recorded back in 2015! Now it is a complete mystery to me why R.A.S. kept these recordings on the shelf for such a long time, but they're finally getting out there and they definitely taste like more! It most likely has something to do with the fact that these songs were originally written between 1982 and 1984, but nonetheless R.A.S. managed to preserve that classic, French sound and get it on a master tape 30+ years later. With guest appearances by Carl (Komintern Sect), Mourad (L'Infanterie Sauvage), Fred (Outreau) and Joss (Gonna Get Yours), R.A.S. recorded a superb release, perhaps sounding better than ever before! As said, you might have heard songs like "Jeunesse De La Honte", "Paradisiak", "Nelly" and "Cochennec" in another form before - I believe "Ma Force" is the only song I don’t immediately recognize from an (un)official release - but on "Pas Le Temps De Regretter" they appear for the first time in all their glory and it sounds absolutely killer!" “Στο σκοτάδι”/‘’in the darkness’’ is the third full-length album Selofan release on Fabrika. Once you put this record on, you feel like being grabbed by the hand and led through the darkest subterranean corridors to a sweaty nightclub. Romanticism and danger are in the air, a nihilistic vision of beauty. claustrophobia, separation, pre paid feelings, leaving and letting go is what this record is about, making you want to cry and dance at the same time, mixing the most sentimental strings with punk bass lines, synthesized trumpets, the finest analog wave with circus sounds. the voice half-speaking, half-singing, expressing either the strongest emotion or the complete absence of it, tells a story or remembers a dream, powerful and tender. Again the sentiments are expressed in different languages, which is meanwhile a characteristic of the band, the b-side surprisingly this time completely in Greek. The whole instrumentation is live and all analog, recorded at their home studio in Athens and mastered by Chris “snake” Manolitsis, the man behind most of the memorable bands to emerge from the Greek new wave scene of the 80s. This record is a manifest of love! Label: Fabrika Barcode: 852669411099

Holy shit!! Ignorance is a complete hardcore energy explosion influenced by bands like Confuse, Kriegshög, Lebenden Toten and Gauze. Like the aforementioned groups, they have a heft and a complexity that urges you to stretch your modes beyond simple volume control. You must feel every twitch and contraction in your body while you envelop yourself in a sound that pushes the needle right into the red and plants it like a conqueror’s flag, claiming your zone as their own. You can rest easy, you live in Helsinki now and it’s beautiful. Label: Iron Lung Records
