• The one and only LP from Southern California Hardcore band Don’t know. The LP was released in 1986 on National Trust Records and has never been reissued until now. These days it’s a sought-after collectible So Cal Hardcore artifact. We here at PNV are reissuing the LP and making it available once again. Fast, furious, blazing intense Hardcore Punk from Playa Del Rey near Los Angeles. Their debut 7” (1985) was released on Mystic Records and they were included/featured on some of the most iconic Punk/Hardcore comps of the 80s such as “We Got Power (Party or Go Home)” (1983), “Party Animal “(1984) and others. (Puke N Vomit Records)
  • From being right in the middle at the birth of US hardcore punk with DYS to creating the blueprint of melodic hardcore with DAG NASTY, from helping to invent pop punk as we know it with ALL to finding himself in the middle of the west coast punk explosion of the 90s with DOWN BY LAW: Smalley was always on the forefront every time hardcore punk pushed its envelope. While others may use a legacy like that as an excuse to take it a little slower, Dave Smalley has no intention to rest on his laurels and keeps writing new music and releasing records. When he founded DON'T SLEEP with fellow East Coast punk rockers Garrett Rothman, Tony Bavaria, Jim Bedorf and Tom McGrath in 2017, the world was more than excited about seeing him front a fast yet melodic hardcore band again. Being motivated by immensely positive feedback, DON'T SLEEP was finally ready to release its debut album "Turn the Tide" in 2020. And then the world came to a grinding halt. But after the dust settled, all five members decided that DON'T SLEEP was too important to not overcome all obstacles thrown in their way. The five piece went back into the rehearsal room, finished 8 original songs and added an amazing TOM PETTY cover to the mix. The result is DON'T SLEEP's second full length "See Change". Pacific Blue Vinyl, limited to 200 copies. Label: End Hits Records Barcode: 4059251571421

Doom is an English crust punk band from Birmingham, England, formed in 1987. Despite its short existence (though Doom is active on the live scene as of late), the band is considered pivotal in the rise of crust punk movement. They recorded for Peaceville Records and are cited as an early precursor to the grindcore style of heavy metal music, & are often compared with seminal act Discharge. Doom were also a favorite of BBC Radio DJ John Peel. In its formative years, Peaceville had heard about Doom through word of mouth and asked if they were interested in contributing songs to the first compilation, "A Vile Peace". Doom went into the studio to record their first demo on 28 August 1987. Three songs were recorded, two of which appeared on "A Vile Peace". On the strength of this first recording Peaceville asked Doom if they would record a full LP for them, which they agreed to do. In Feburary 1988, Doom went into the "Rich Bitch" studios and recorded 21 songs for the album, "War Crimes". "Total Doom" was the band's second album, originally released in 1989, & was a collection of the "Police Bastard" EP, "War Crimes" LP, plus the "Bury the Debt - not the Dead" split release tracks. DOROTHY | i confess | 7″

    11.50 incl. tax
Industrial Records - the label of Throbbing Gristle first released this pop gem in October 1980 and it was possibly the straightest yet weirdest release the label ever did. Dorothy was described as a 19 year old with no prior releases, but was actually Max the drummer from Rema Rema with help in the song writing department from Alex Ferguson from Alternative TV and Genesis P-Orridge. I Confess is a perfect super cute pop ditty with lyrics that sound like a catholic confession. The flipside Softness is a DIY Disco dancefloor nugget with Dorothy's silky smooth vocals. (Sealed Records)
  • Yeah....Fucking cool old school SExHC mixed with a slight Modern Hardcore sound touch!.A well-sustained and hard-hitting rhythm with cool tempo changes , driving breakdowns and Youth Crew backing vocals here and there.Urgent and punchy sung vocals and really cool guitar riffs!. Quite good stuff! Label: Refuse Records, Elephant Skin Records

The boys have been barricading themselves in the '79 Sound Studio in Cologne to work on new material for their second album. The result was mixed in the well known Atomic Garden Studio in the Bay Area of San Francisco, but mastered in the Audiosiege Studio in Portland, Oregon. They have now completed the masterpiece and are ready to release it. They also have a concept on this album. The band wrangles with the mightiest foe of human kind in their lyrics: time, that keeps on ticking away. That's why 'Downfall Of Gaia' cut down on the calmer song fragments and rush through this album, titled "Aeon Unveils The Thrones Of Decay". Label: Metal Blade Barcode: 039841533521

Swedish crossover thrash four-piece DR. LIVING DEAD! disbanded in late summer 2022, thanking friends, business partners and fans alike for supporting the band throughout its 15-year existence. After their formation in Stockholm in 2007 the group went on to record four full-lengths between 2011 and 2017 – two on High Roller and Century Media respectively – but their first two demo CDs “Thrash After Death” (2007) and “Thrashing the Law” (2008) have never been officially available – until now. High Roller have compiled all of DR. LIVING DEAD!´s early recordings under the title “Demos After Death”. Featuring 13 tracks on vinyl plus an additional six on CD, this set encapsulates what the quartet has always been about – part bandana-wearing, baseball-capped, skull-faced metal thrashing mad and part loving tribute to eternal idols like Slayer, Iron Maiden or Judas Priest. Add to this a penchant for skateboard culture, the cinema of the 1980s, a pinch of belated Cold War angst as well as a healthy dose of humour, and you have a perfectly timeless piece of crossover how it was meant to be originally. Or to put it in DR. LIVING DEAD´s own words: “Grab something nice and cold to drink, put on the S.O.D. record and give yourself a good ol´ pat on the back for being a cool MF. Until next time, cheers everybody!” Andreas Schiffmann Track listing: 01 World War Nine 02 Die Hard 3 03 UFO Attack 04 Indians & Cowboys 05 No Zoo! 06 Chucky 07 Satanic Wolf 08 You're Not the Law 09 Gremlins Night 10 I Need Thrash (Not You) 11 Kindergarten Cop 12 Dr. Living Dead! 13 Kerry Burger King CD Bonus 14 The Joke´s on You (Studio 2011) 15 No House (Studio 2015) 16 World War Nine (Live 2012) 17 Gremlin´s Night (Live 2012) 18 Hard Target (Live 2012) 19 Streets Of Doc-Town (Live 2012) Line-up: Dr. Ape - vocals Dr. Toxic - guitar Dr. Rad - bass Dr. Cobra Kai - drums Label: High Roller Barcode: 4251267714261

Released recently on CD by Unspeakable Axe and receiving great reviews from all press, this monster of an album could roughly be described as the perfect mishmash of US and European Death Metal with strong hints of Mediterranean Black Metal (Mortuary Drape, Varathron, old Rotting Christ…). Kelly Kuciemba’s (of Drawn And Quartered fame) lead guitar work has propelled their compositions on another level and combined with B.Corsair’s exceptional songwriting this album is easily one of the highlights of this year! VINYL version on Nuclear Winter Records out now! Black vinyl limited to 175 copies. (Nuclear Winter Records/Nameless Grave Records)
