Biting and brittle terrestrial hardcore that conjures the speed and precision of ARTICLES OF FAITH mixed with the nihilism of FLIPPER and the mythical out-of-mindness of 80s Kyushu punks without really sounding like any of that at all. With songs questioning the very purpose of life, industrialization, globalization, war mongering and fear, these Texas punks directly obstruct the establishment by loudly proclaiming "I am not a program. I am not a system." We hope you enjoy this special fuck you as much as we do. Back from the bowels of forced-shut-in sessions with their 2nd EP, BRAIN TOURNIQUET amplifies the frustration and bitterness of the all too familiar life pause that was 2020. Not that life is all that great in the first place. Senseless murder and hate surround everything. There is no freedom. There is pain. You know what would feel good right now? Throwing a brick through an actual person. We could laugh at all the parts that fall out and wash down the gutter. Now take all that violence and put it to grinding distortion. That is BRAIN TOURNIQUET. Hardcore, power violence, whatever you want to call it, it's angry. 75gr vinyl housed in a “traditional” folded paper sleeve with a mini poster and download card included. Recorded by Bob Quirk and CC. Mastered by Will Killingsworth. Art by CC. “Vast and endless loneliness. In the fields lays a headless child.” -Wartorn (Iron Lung Records)

Michigan-based grindcore cult heroes Cloud Rat return with Pollinator, the band's most intense and blistering recordings to date.Over the past ten years, Cloud Rat has established itself as one of the most compelling bands in the underground. Over a staggering number of releases – four full-length albums, eleven EPs and splits, a live album, and various other comps, in one decade – the Michigan band has made a name for itself via sheer emotion and musical freedom.NPR Music called Cloud Rat's 2013 album, Moksha, "a feral, fearsome and fearless piece of work." Noisey described a live show in 2015 with these words: "Cloud Rat is one of those rare bands whose music connects instantly, painfully – you feel the words, the riffs, and the all-consuming cacophony deep within the marrow of your bones, vibrating out into a hostile world."Emerging from the space where hardcore punk spirals into grindcore, Cloud Rat is that and so much more. The band knows no limits and incorporates influences from across the map – black metal, noise, doom, goth, folk, and beyond – all while retaining its realness and urgency. Cloud Rat have taken grind to the next level on Pollinator, and it's vicious. Label: Artoffact Records – AOF282 Barcode: 628070628285

An infamous collection of very early C.B. recordings (with the two piece line-up consisting of Alberto The Crippler on guitar/vocals and Giulio The Bastard on drums/vocals)..: 336 SONGS – ASTI NOISE-GRIND PUNK at its roughest stage. Official reissue of CB’s most circulated tape, originally released in 1992, finally consecrated on vinyl… an unbelievable bloodbath of lo-fi rawness going from the embryonic thrashing punk/grind days to the radical nihilism of the band’s noisecore phase. This tape was the roots of Italian grindcore and the link between the end of an era (the unforgettable furious years of Italy’s hardcore punk pioneers) and the beginning of a new one more based on noise and manic speed. Ripped from pristine 1st generation sources and painstakingly remastered song by song at Toxic Basement Studio in 2022 to celebrate the 30th year anniversary since its first edition, this is hands down the best sounding version to date. • THIS IS A PRE-ORDER! YOUR ORDER WILL SHIP ON OR AROUND LATE OCTOBER/EARLY NOVEMBER, THANKS! Svart Records are proud to present the vinyl debut of the album '8 Convulsions' (1994) by Crisis (NYC, USA) "I am really glad that Svart are re-releasing 8 Convulsions, so more people can rediscover this wonderful and intriguing heavy music." Michel 'Away' Langevin, Voivod Remastered and repackaged with the vinyl format in mind, the package comes with a large booklet full of lyrics and exclusive photos. This is the first time an album from the NYC cult band's oeuvre is pressed on vinyl. There will also be a CD edition of the remaster. Hailing from the mean streets of NYC in the year 1993, Crisis was a band that defied classification from the very start. During a time when heavy music was dominated by a mostly male presence, founders Afzaal Deen and original drummer Fred Waring envisioned a female-fronted band to run against the grain and destroy expectations. Seeking out a singer with a singular sound and presence, and found their match in groundbreaking vocalist and avant-visual artist Karyn Crisis. Soon after, a newspaper ad for a bass player was answered by Gia Chuan Wang and the original unit was formed. During their first rehearsal, Karyn became so enmeshed and driven by the music that she inadvertently destroyed a microphone stand and threw herself to the floor in an outpouring of unmitigated expression. This was barely a hint at the intensity she would soon bring to the stage and studio. Karyn’s guttural growls and angelic melodic notes meshed perfectly with the mixture of grinding guitar, pounding rhythm and deep bass tones. The underground music scene would now begin to experience the dynamic intensity of this burgeoning powerhouse band in full force. Crisis signed to Too Damn Hype records and released their debut album '8 Convulsions', now being reissued to mark its 30th anniversary. In a time where inclusivity is more crucial than ever, Crisis remains a band as diverse and distinct as the city from which they originally hailed. “The United Nations of Rock” as they’ve been called, continue to break boundaries and crush antiquated archetypes with their unprecedented sound and vision. "One of the most captivating bands I’ve ever experienced in New York City in the early 90s. They had a very unique sound where you couldn’t categorize them though they had elements of metal, punk with a very dark experimental approach, which gave them their unique sound. Just raw and relentless energy." Roy Mayorga, Ministry/Soulfly/Nausea etc. Label: Svart Barcode: 6430080233267

Gore Metal Maniacs EXHUMED announce the 25 year anniversary deluxe reissue of their legendary debut album Gore Metal! The 25th anniversary edition of Gore Metal is streaming in full now! Frontman Matt Harvey comments: “Like a lingering recurrent infection, this album just keeps rearing its ugly head. Twenty-five years is a long time for a record this raw, nasty, crude and repugnant to hang around, so what better time would there be than now to reissue it on vinyl? The re-master has breathed new life into these dusty old tracks and the record has never sounded better. I hope you necromaniacs are as excited about this as we are, because we have a bunch of plans around this reissue and anniversary in the works. After 2008's "Hands Off Our Music" 7" (Shortfuse Records) with its furious, brutal delivery, Vienna's COLD WORLD are back with this first full new recording since reuniting + 4 years ago. The focus on COLD WORLD's side of the split 12" with Australia's powerhouse EXTORTION lies on their 80's-Highspeed-Hardcore roots (the 3 core members having played in Austria's premier Hardcore Punk band EXTREM) and early Powerviolence sound which they helped initiate on the European side of the Atlantic with releases on labels such as B-Core and Sound Pollution. However the band is proudly still breaking every rule of the Punk Police, even if this means another 25 years in blastbeat obscurity away from any D-Beat, Noise-Punk, Post-Punk or whatever-hype that just happens to be the retro flavor of the moment. COLD WORLD never fit in anywhere and couldn't care less about changing this situation in 2012. EXTORTION with 11 new Hardcore attacks, you know what you have to expect!!! (Regurgitated Semen Records)

FULL OF HELL return with their highly anticipated new album, Garden Of Burning Apparitions. The new album, a genre-bending blitzkrieg of hardcore, grind and death metal, sees the band expand upon the very elements that have propelled FULL OF HELL to the forefront of extreme music over the last decade. Produced by Seth Manchester at Machines With Magnets in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Garden of Burning Apparitions also sees FULL OF HELL adding new dimensions to their warp-speed hellscape. Guitarist Spencer Hazard and bassist Sam DiGristine's monstrous riffs now have an added noise-rock influence, while drummer Dave Bland commands the rhythm section at blazing speeds. Lyrically, Garden of Burning Apparitions sees vocalist Dylan Walker exploring (anti)religion, life's impermanence and the fear that comes with knowing death is inescapable. "Industrial Messiah Complex” grinds organized religion to a pulp in under 90 seconds, while Walker contemplates the commodification of spirituality seen in America’s vast network of garish mega-churches and how these practices are at odds with true spirituality. Meanwhile, “Reeking Tunnels” rides a strident noise rock riff down into the sewer. It’s a metaphor for the physical and mental space we become trapped in when we live in a perpetual state of fear and hate. Elsewhere, justifiable ochlophobia propels the guttural death metal blast of “Eroding Shell.” Lyrically, the song seeks to capture our fear of the violent, ignorant mob—a scene glimpsed far too often in this volatile era. In the end, FULL OF HELL’s boundary smashing has paid off again. “I think it’s good that we tried not to pigeonhole ourselves early on,” Walker reflects. “Because now, 10 years in, we have the opportunity to make whatever record we want, within reason, and people will follow along.” (Relapse Records)
